I remember playing Goemon in the 64 with my brother and sucking really bad because I was like 4 at the time.
I’d be down.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyMystical Ninja Starring Goemon is the secret best game on N64.
x3 I actually brought that up earlier, right before the 'brave' stuff was datamined. I'd be fine with him being added, although he is a Konami property, and Konami already has 3 fighters.
Square being "stingy" wouldn't necessarily close the door to having any other Square content as DLC. If Sakurai has enough in the budget to pony up for more Square content, and all relevant parties approve of his selections and presentation of that Square content, then we can get more Square content.
It really wouldn't be that far-fetched for Square to offer DQ content at a steep but fair enough price for Sakurai and co. to decide it's worth it.
I'm reasonably confident that Crash will get in (at least as confident as one can be when 3rd party characters are involved)
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniI don't feel confident in any Western characters' chances but Crash is higher than most.
This song needs more love.Personally, I'd love to see the Doom Slayer in Smash Bros, though I doubt we will.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"Evidence is still suggesting otherwise & quite frankly is incredibly irritating to see only 2 music in comparison of everything else.
@ Person who saisd Doomguy has no personality: It's a recent development, but the new DOOM and what we've seen of DOOM Eternal has given him some very visible personality pieces.
On SE being stingy: they could be saving their content for the paid DLC

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire"Brave" is nowhere near as blatant as "Packu" which is just one letter less from "Packun" as in Piranha Plant's Japanese name.
crash is EXTREMELY popular in japan. like to the point where japan's sales of the wrath of cortex and the n.sane trilogy are almost double the u.s. infact, crash is more likely than banjo due to the fact that banjo kazooie is only a cult classic in japan.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~I don't know, on PS 4 the N. Sane Trilogy did meh in Japan. And i haven't heard how the Switch version did.
But that he is popular, he is. Crash used to have the best-selling western game in Japan before Spiderman 4.
Uni catworth it for the pizza theme
you make me want to do terrible things to you~We have Yuri Lowenthal. It could happen.
It's been 3000 years…now I want marth and alucard to dance to the spiderman 2 pizza theme.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~I also think Square Enix's recent financial woes present a new dynamic for them and any consideration of Smash DLC. Simply put, they may be more willing to cut a deal now that their financial outlook is much weaker than they were during Smash Ultimate development, when things were looking more stable for them. Putting it all down to financials is perhaps a cynical way of looking at it all, but in terms of "reasons why Square Enix might be more flexible about allowing their materials into Smash," it's at least logical.
I've gone back and forth on how reasonable Ishikawa Goemon is as a character. Part of me wants to say that he'd be the extreme example of the Goku issue, in that he very much is not originally a video game character (he's an actual historical figure). On the other hand, his video game incarnation is distinct from many other depictions of him, so perhaps that incarnation is unique enough from its origin that he could reasonably be included. I'm going to ultimately guess he's a no on the "not originally a video game character" clause, but he's more likely a test case than Goku as to how long that "rule" can stand.
As for "Packu" being blatant... well, in hindsight, yes, but my first guess would have been (had that been shown before the Piranha Plant reveal) that they somehow figured out a way to do another Pac-Man character without it being an echo (given his Japanese name can be written "Packuman"). I'm going to guess that "brave" will be equally obvious in hindsight.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. If "we have Yuri Lowenthal" is grounds for getting in, then we're gonna need a long list. :P
I don't think packu is that blatant, if we discovered this information before pirahna plant was revealed, all we would've known is that it was a character that bites, literally. like a character from 5naf or ms.pacman being an original fighter ala isabelle. ditto with jack, who could've been any character that had to do with jack. hell, we don't know definitively that jack is joker, joker could be brave or hell, not even in the game's code yet. hell brave and jack could be characters that don't have anything to do with jack or brave. you could make the argument that jack is raiden, the main character of madworld, geno, travis, steve, a zelda rep etc. In Fact it's a pretty common tactic for developers to codename projects with something completely different as a red herring. for instance all the recent zelda games have code names relating to alice in wonderland, the switch was codenamed the NX, the wii U was codenamed "CAFE" etc. so I don't think we can definitively say anything yet, well until joker is fully released, anyway.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~> also think Square Enix's recent financial woes
stop right there, when did they have money troubles?
New theme music also a boxthey cancelled ffXV's dlc, thus they effectively lost all the money they pumped into that dlc, causing a huge loss for the company, this happened a while ago bub.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~The DLC thing probably saved them more money in the long run, tbh.
This song needs more love. The switch port for XV is still coming, right?
How brave is Noctis?

Uni cat
Alright.
I know who the next DLC character will be:
Our favourite Mystical Ninja, Ishikawa Goemon.
If for no other reason than to get the full version of Smile again, and Double Impact.
One Strip! One Strip!
