So I made a Mii fighter called "Batman". It's a Mii that look like it's wearing Batman's helmet. It's a Mii Swordfighter, which is odd for Batman but gives him the right Ninja abilities.

I'm totally gonna have him fight Joker and Dedede in a team with Robin.

ok so I was thinking, (very dangerous, I know) everybody wants rayman right? well, if we are going off of the idea that characters in the game are super marketable, then wouldn't it make more sense if they put in the rabbidz instead, I mean you show someone who isn't as balls-deep into vidya as people on this thread a picture of the rabbidz, and a few rayman characters, chances are they'll recognise the rabbidz. plus that the rabbidz games have sold more than rayman origins/legends. plus that nintendo greenlighted a crossover between their biggest ip and the rabbidz over rayman, and it just seems that nintendo/ubisoft prefer the rabbidz over rayman. On Top of that, rayman is in brawlhalla, another party fighting game, now I'm not saying being in another platform fighting game automatically means a character is deconfirmed, I mean both Simon and Snake have appeared in dreammix tv world fighters, but if ubisoft truly wanted rayman in a platform fighting game, wouldn't they just put him into smash instead of brawlhalla? And there's already ubisoft content in the game (rayman spirit) So it's not hard to imagine that the rabbidz, as much as it pains me to say this, are currently more likely than rayman.

Rabbits are also in the game as Spirits. Both Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Rayman Legends Definitive have come out for Switch in recent years.

Hard to say who’d win out. Rayman probably fits more easily as a fighter, I think.

I feel like if the Rabbids get in and not Rayman there'd be controversy, for pretty much the same reason there was controversy when Rabbid games were happening without Rayman.

I feel like rabbis would be best as an AT that just wander around, pick up items and use them at random.

So like Munchlax from Brawl? I can also see them swinging plungers in people's faces and screaming while riding in ridiculous shopping karts.

Also the nmh livestream DID tease travis a little bit, they said that "when you get bored of smash bros, please consider us" and "so the dlc will come in janurary and february, so travis,smash,travis,smash" not exact words but they did say something similar to that effect

Whether or not it means anything (still saying probably not), it’s pretty hilarious that they actually acknowledged that.

idk, banjo and rayman were heavily teased in smash 4, and skull kid and isaac were heavily teased during smash ultimate. none of them were obviously in, so a character being teased does not always mean they are "confirmed"

So it's been a while since i shared a fake leak, so here it is

• Challenger Pack Characters
  • Sylux from Metroid Prime: Hunters
  • Heihachi Mishima from Tekken
  • Joker from Persona 5, this one is obvious
  • Banjo & Kazooie from Banjo-Kazooie
  • Square Enix Character: I’m not entirely sure which character, but it is going to be one of these 3 characters. Erdrick from Dragon Quest 3, Crono from Chrono Trigger, or Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

Bonus DLC Characters

• Piranha Plant, this one is obvious
• Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
• New Pokémon Character: It is going to be a Pokémon from the 2019 game.

My thoughts: Wow this have to be the safest fake leak i have ever seen. Of course, the square enix is still unknown, how convenient.

Also, i find Heihachi unlikely not only because of him being part of Pac-man's taunt but also because of the recent passing of his japanese VA. Unless they reuse voice clips or give him a new voice, i find his inclusion unlikely.

yeah it's kinda bs that we know nintendo selected all 5 dlc characters, yet every neckbeard who breaks in isn't sure who the SE rep is. Honestly I see a SE rep as a bonus character like pirahna plant, no stage, and no assist trophy. maybe a couple of spirits. If konomi lets alucard,grey fox and bomberman be assists there is no excuse for square. If they ARE getting a character who's a part of the fighter's pass, then it's gonna be geno with mallow as an assist, or they could just put in someone less known like gex or raziel from legacy of kain and put in a dq/twewy/whatever protagonist in and say "there's our assist trophy." If they are so unwilling to put cloud in, their most popular character. Then I doubt we are gonna get much else, on top of that, we've gone over how getting the rights to ff/dq/square music in general is a pain in the patoot for both nintendo and square. And also the dq composer is a massive bigot and some of the things he believes in have caused controversy, and it will become worse when his music gets into smash.

I love square and I would love chrono/neku/sora/dq protag/smrpg rep in, but seeing how they are viewing smash right now I don't think anything's likely just yet

Otherwise, yeah, super standard. The closest to being an interesting pick is Heihachi, and for a number of reasons (actor is dead, Sakurai turned him down already...) I don't really expect him. If we get another Namco character I'd expect it to be Yuri

I love that the first two DLC characters are Piranha Plant and Joker. It's like Sakurai is daring us to find a pattern there.

I realize that "Character X is in; ergo, character Y is now more likely" is a sucker's game, buuut I do think Banjo and Kazooie are now likelier than ever. I've also heard scuttlebutt about 2B fro NieR: Automata, but not from reliable sources.

I'd prefer Velvet as a Tales rep. Partly to get more female characters, and partly because I know Nintendo nor Bamco would fork over the money to get Troy Baker just to do a few grunts and victory lines.

For a namco rep, my brain is telling me lloyd from tales of symphonia, while my heart is telling me rick taylor from splatter house. But that's only because I have a huge boner for when they recreate sprites for smash charecter animations. But lloyd is the most likely due to symphonia being the ff7 of the series where it's the most the most recogniseble one :/
