Honkai Impact 3rd

I'm going to have to power through ch. 35 this weekend...I'm six sections in ATM. If there's anything HI3's done in the recent versions that I haven't cared for, it's making the story chapters not have set "pause/continue" points so you can choose when you want to stop and pick things back up.

Finished chap 35. It was surprisingly much more sweet than bitter at the end. I expected Kiana to be stuck on the moon and maybe in a unconscious state, but in the end she treats it like a 10-year vacation lol. But it does mean that there’s a good chance we’ll see her again in APHO.

I’m more worried for Senti, who’s probably gonna be affected most by the Honkai energy draining.

…I should rewatch the animated short, I’m sure there are a lot of details and cameos that I missed! What a nostalgia trip.

PS: It all ends with a train, just before the start of Starrail. How fitting.

according to what I see, not just Hare, but also Prometheus (Previous Era Bronya lookalike A.I. who ended up acting as the Will of Honkai sim).

I haven't unlocked Susannah yet (not spending crystals on her when I can get her through the open world) but I have her weapon and two stigs, and I'm really enjoying playing her in the event.

Boy howdy, Pishacha is annoying. It just keeps regenerating unless you inflict absurd amounts of bleed on it, and without Susannah that’s a pain. I just barely managed to finish it with my TP, but that took me a few attempts.

…I like the event though, Susannah is just precious. Also, Alvitr finally has a sprite. Took them long enough.

Speaking of Alvitr, I saw that someone replaced the original pic of her with one from the event. I'm thinking we should use a pic of her sprite instead.

Okay, it's been since Kiana's ice-themed outfit that I've done an outfit supply, but Elysia's new outfit is beautiful...looks like it's time to start praying to the gacha gods.

I added in Susannah's battlesuit pic and put her old pic in a labelnote.

Susannah’s dorm profile says she’s from "Western Asia"… I see that Mihoyo’s keeping to their proud tradition of extremely white middle-eastern characters lol.

Although that makes sense regarding her outfit at least.

So Honkai: Star Rail is about to go live in a few hours?

I've been waiting to play that game for a long time now.

However, I never actually touched any miHoYo games for the past 4 months. The last main story moment that I remember from Honkai Impact 3rd is when Kiana, Bronya and Mei reunite with Seele, Durandal and Sushang in the New Atra moon base. Ever since then, did this game's main story reveal any major plot point, Foreshadowing, or Call-Forward that would connect its lore to HSR?

Not really? I mean, more explanations were given on the nature of Honkai I guess, but they were so abstract and convoluted they kinda flew over my head.

I think the only think really connecting the two games right now is Post-Honkai Odyssee and its related manga, since they explain how Welt Yang ended up in HSR’s world.

Alright, finished the Susannah event.

Of course the cat was the mastermind. You can’t trust these devious little things.

Also I had a suspicion Kitty was a young Carole (because, well… there aren’t exactly many dark-skinned, yellow-eyed caracters in Honkai) and this is indeed confirmed.

Between this and the beginning of the "Susannah and Stan" show, turns out this whole event was a stealth prequel to APHO.

So how long before we get a Star Rail character in Impact?

Either HI3's anniversary or next year when HSR's anniversary comes. Anyhow, I always found it funny that the artwork for Aponia in the Guns GirlZ "HOUKAI CROSS 2022" collab is racier than what we see of her in HI3 proper.

So I was updating Welt's character folder in the Star Rail page of this wiki to note that some of his dialogue lines are subtle references to stuff from HI3.

However, there's one bit of lore that I can't recall properly:

In Star Rail, when you ask him about his powers, he says that he acquired them from an "old acquaintance".

Now, is this old acquaintance referring to Welt Joyce, a.k.a the "first" Herrscher of Reason before Welt Yang?

Or is it referring to Bronya? Wasn't there a dialogue in "A Post-Honkai Odyssey Part 2" where she says she returned the Core of Reason to Welt Yang? I might be misremembering this specific part.

I’m two-thirds through chap 36 and I really like how simple and light-hearted it is. Seeing Raven’s orphanage come to life, Sora becoming the Cool Big Sis of the roost kids, Roza and Lili pursuing their dream (kinda), Bronya becoming a game developer, Susannah be… well, Susannah and the Seeles peacefully bantering. And also some dialogue options during the "detective" parts that are there just to make sure you’re paying attention to the plot lol.

…Actually, how can Veliona watch Seele’s sleeping face if they share the same body?

Also, the Fallout Guys event is back, which is great.

I suppose he was referring to Joyce? I don’t remember the details very well, honestly.

Anyone else think the removal of Ambiguously Gay from Elysia's folder isn't legit?

Well, the fact there was no edit reason given doesn't help. I'd reinstate.

The troper who deleted that appears to be a new troper, but they already deleted

• Ambiguously Gay in the Fire MOTH page
• Incompatible Orientation in Otto's page
• Transparent Closet in Kiana's page

They should've at least given an edit reason to justify their edits (benefit of the doubt may say they're deleting speculative troping, as they deleted a question mark on Raiden Mei's page), but their deletions do have a pattern.
