ITT: We Are All Pirates

Ahoy! Welcome to our motley crew of hardworking sailor misfits! This is yet another ITT, where you play as a group of pirates, sailing the seas! What's your goal? Finding the One Piece? Gather magical coins? Do whatever Jack Sparrow does? Whatever you see fit, will be our goal! This is a grand world of many adventures! There's only one way to see what's in store, and that's to join! You can be anything you want! Human, furry, lamp... so long as you aren't some sort of god, you're all fine! If your case is complicated, feel free to PM me about it.

Saltine finds herself in a tavern. Today was a red-letter day. The day she sets off on her pirate quest. But first, she'd need some piratey companions. And to do that, she needs to go where pirates are usually found. A tavern.

A large narwhal is sitting by himself off to the side, trying not to knock things over with his tusk and looking very unsure of himself.

I used to be obsessed with walruses, this only seems like the natural next step. :P

Hmm... a narwahl! Yes! Very good at swimming, probably. "You there." She says, approaching the unsure fella. "Wanna sail the seas? See the sights? For free?" Saltine jumps a bit. "Cuz if ya join me, that's exactly what's gonna happen, got me?"

She wasn't the best at marketing.

The narwhal is surprised. He turns around to look at Saltine.

"You... you really mean it? You want me on your crew?"

A pirate with a bandaged face walks in

Bandy: waves

Progress has it's stepping stones.

A pirate wielding two swords appears, appearing to be ordering around a female pirate who is a Braixen.

"ARRRGH! We talked about this, you cannot have 50% of the booty!"

“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”

"Duh! Of course you can! Ever heard of a one-man pirate?" She grabs the narwhal tight. "You and me. We're gonna go places!" She looks around, spotting the three other pirates. "You. Me. And... you!" She points to Bandy. Then she spies the two pirates arguing. "HEY! Wanna join the cool crew?"

I'm Huney B now. Okay?

"Oh my goodness... thank you. I'm so glad to finally be a part of something like this!" says the narwhal.

"Uh... my name is Boreas. Nice to meet you all!"

Progress has it's stepping stones.

(Nearby, a large cream colored python covered in pink flower shaped spots and wearing a tiara can be spotted conversing with her crew, consisting of a gray and white bull, a craggy-looking lizard, a purple shark in a vest, a purple frilled lizard in a grass skirt, and another blue-colored python wearing a powdered wig.)

Yep, I'm using Mona again. This fits her character pretty well anyway.

"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."

“Depends, do you have cool treasure? Anyways, I’m Captain Bronze, and this is my sla-er, fellow pirate, Kat.”

“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”

"What kind of pirate crew doesn't get treasure? A bad one, that's what kind." She looks over to the other crew.

"Poo, we're not alone..."

I'm Huney B now. Okay?

Geez, this escalated quickly, Boreas thinks. Are we gonna have to fight? I don't want to hurt anyone...

(The bull notices that these other folks are looking in their direction. He lowers his head and speaks to the yellow python.) Mona, I think these guys are lookin' in our direction.

Did we somehow offend them? (The frilled lizard asks.) We were only discussing where to go from here.

(The yellow python, Mona, turns to face the other pirates.) Can we help you...? (She asks, confused and seemingly mildly offended that these others would just stare at them.)

"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."

"Why yes, in a matter of fact, you can!" Saltine makes her way over. "See, I'm forming a pirate crew, and in order for that, I need people. And for people, I need..."

She seems to have forgotten where this was going.

"Nevermind." She backs off.

I'm Huney B now. Okay?

Hmm...well, we already have a crew here. (Mona says.) I don't really see the need to join another one given we are more than capable of holding our own. I have my first mate...

(She looks to the blue python, who coughs nervously.)

My navigator... (The bull waves.)

My cabin boy... (The craggy lizard chuckles.)

My cook... (The shark giggles.)

And my doctor. (The frilled lizard nods.)

(Turning back to Saltine, Mona continues.) Thank you for your offer, but I think we're good.

Aye! (The craggy-looking lizard says, adjusting his tricorn hat.) You tell 'em, Mona!

Hush, Skagway. (Mona tells the lizard.)

"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."

"Well... w-well... I never asked, did I?" She says, with sudden spunk. "Tell ya what! We're gonna become the greatest pirates in all the world!" Saltine quickly makes her way to her party, throwing her wing out. "Everyone, put your hand on my wing! When I count off, we'll agree to officially become a crew! A family, even! When we count off, we'll become... The Keelhaulers!"

A treasure chest is in the room, slightly moving if something breathing is inside. The chest is on a small set of wheels, and the chest itself is made of brown waxed wood with gold metal linings. The chest is apparently locked with a lock that's modeled after a skull. There are two black chains to the sides of the chest, the chain on the chest's right has a skeleton key on the end of it and the chain on its left leads to a shadowy part of the room.

The League of Heroes

Heh, looks like we have some new rivals, eh, Mona? (The bull comments as Saltine rallies with her new friends.)

It seems we do, Beckett... (Mona nods.)

We gotta stop 'em, now? (The shark asks.)

Of course not, Charlotte. Unless they get in our way or they become a serious threat, we have no reason to. (Mona says.) And remember, no violence unless necessary...and that includes eating anyone, Charlotte.

No duh! Sheesh, I know I'm a shark but I don't eat people for no reason...

...

(After a moment, the blue python notices the shaking box in the corner.) What's with that box?

I wouldn't touch it, Roberto. (Mona says.) Remember what happened last time we opened a box like that?

How could I forget! (Roberto says.)

(Mona and her crew look in the box's direction, but don't move towards it.)

"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."

Boreas looks at the box suspiciously. He slowly lowers his head, pointing his tusk at it, just in case.

"I don't like that box."

Two young women enter the tavern. One's a dark haired girl with a sword, lean and muscular. She looks a bit unhappy, frowning a bit. Another's a white haired girl, with a friendly smile on her face, carrying a bow and arrow. She's a bit shorter than her companion, and wears a hood.

The white haired girl goes up to the bartender, and orders two rums. She does do a double take when she brings the drinks back to her table. "Man, Kuro. What's that?", she says, pointing to the box.

"Maybe it's some kind of demon. I don't really know." Kuro is also a bit focused, although it's not enough to prevent her from drinking her rum.

The treasure chest moves slightly more violently, as if whatever is inside does not like being referred to as a demon. A small cranking sound can be heard within it as the heavy chain that leads to a shadowy part of the room retracts, and the heavy cannonball that's welded on the end of the chain makes itself known as it scratches up the floor as it is dragged.

The League of Heroes

Boreas lifts his head up, looking at the box with more curiosity than before.

"This is an unusual box. I like unusual boxes."

Is there any way to open that box? (Mona's frilled lizard crew member asks.) I must say, I am getting extremely curious as to what it contains.

Hilo, please, it can't contain anything good... (Mona says, giving the frilled lizard a look.)

"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."

Kuro has taken out her sword, a fairly long Jian, and cautiously approaches the creature.

Her companion approaches Saltine. "You said that you were making a pirate crew, right? I think we could join." She smiles a bit. "My name's Tuva, and my friend's Kuroten." She puts out her hand to shake.
