Tropers: The Series

"What'a going on?"
"Taco's got a history book."
"Oh."

Badger explains the history behind Tropesburg to the group. Apparently, it was formed out of the misfits from the early colonies when America was being founded by Great Britain. They even fought for sovereignty after America declared its independence. A pretty fascinating story if you ask me.

The others talked for a bit on the subject. Chey likened today's episode to "The Magic Treehouse" or "Doctor Who". Does that mean time travel will play a part in today's episode, perhaps?

"Interesting story... What are the odds we will be forced to experience this event ourselves?"

“Like, 10000000000000000000000000....... against 1.”

"Not if we use SCIENCE!" Four shouted from somewhere else. What followed next were the sounds of objects crashing and breaking outside. "Ow! Argh! Fuck!"

“That sounded good.”

"Now, at some point, one of us is gonna have to say the F word out loud in the radio show," says Puma, shamelessly plugging TTS' official Discord server.

"It's probably happened before, but still. Anyway, how else can we conjure up these events?"

"Now what if we had a way to get into a book somehow... like that history book..."

"I've...got it!" One of the doors slammed opened, revealing a disheveled Four holding a weird, futuristic gun in one of her hands.

She then proceeds to fall over, flat on her face. "Ugh..."

Tales gives Junon an arbitrarily large number for their odds. Knowing them, this still would happen somehow. And Junon was proven right when Four announces that she has the power of science on her side. She yelled a profanity while getting in the house. Puma snarks that that'll be read on the radio show hosted on the official Discord Server created by yours truly.

Four enters the room with an invention of hers. Junon is astonished that a girl who resembled Aqua from that isekai she doesn't particularly care about is a goddamn genius. Junon asks, “How does your gun work, Four?”

Aveyond enters from another room

"What's this? Wait, you guys want to experience these events right? Finally! I get to use my power!"

She coughs for a bit, before pulling herself up. "Basically, it's a two-step process when using this. First, it scans the book and searches the contents of it through the internet-" she suddenly turned to the audience, while winking... "-don't worry, it doesnt involve piracy-" ...before turning back to Junon. "-and downloads the data for it to use. Then, once that's done, we can calibrate it to the exact moment we want to go to. After that, all that's left is to shoot ourselves with it and voila!" She finishes her hard-to-keep-up explanation.

"There's just ooooone small problem, though... We cannot, under any circumstances, manipulate the events. Even so much as telling anyone what would happen later on in the book would cause significant changes to the rest of the book. But don't worry! I'm sure none of us are dumb enough to do that, right?" She says cheerfully.

“Well there’s no need to do that because we can use Aveyond’s power.”

"...oh." she looks at the device, before throwing it away to god-knows-where. "Nevermind, then!"

"What happens when I use it is that I place my hand on a certain page and focus, bringing my power into play. I never tried it with so many people, but what my sister did was at least hold onto me. So...my suggestion is to hold onto me, or another person holding on. Kind of like a portkey in a certain movie. One transportation later, and we're there!"

Junon listens to Four's explanation in its entirety. All that just for something that can be held with one hand. And it doesn't freaking need to be used at all because Aveyond can simply use her powers to teleport the Tropers into the book. Badger even brought that point up for Junon. As a result, Four discarded her gun because it was made redundant. C'est la vie, I guess.

Junon also listens to Aveyond's explanation. Junon wishes she could learn Aveyond's powers for her own purposes. Not those purposes, mind you. Get your mind out of the gutter, reader. With this power, she can hang out with Kinnikuman and have her own adventures.

“That is so cool,” exclaims Junon. “When can we try it out?”

"Well, whenever you guys want to! I'm eager to see this town's history, for one".

"Sounds like an awesome power... wish I had that. More for video games in my case, but still... entering various stories and works? Imagine all the fun and exciting adventures you could have..."

"Oh! Quick question! Is there a 'catch' to this sort of thing?"

"Ready when you others are!" Zanreo said and held on to Aveyond's arm.
