But this...and the Marinecess cards feel like they were made just for the anime too.

I'm pretty sure they'll be released. You can tell by the level of detail in a card's art whether it's likely to come out in real life, I've found.

Kinda should have used him more. But they haven't really done the drama well. I didn't buy Blood Shepherds change for example because his dad apparently thought about them, but doesn't change he up and abandoned them and his mother died gruesomely likely due to Windy, and never tried to get in touch.

Hm, while it's good that Aoi won if she was going to bounce Hal out of the series like that this should've been a two-parter. Bowman's line last week about them becoming one made me think they really were going to go full 2001 and we were going to get a Halman fusion. Guess not. Her new deck seems more suited to the anime's preferred style of play and there's still an emphasis on burn damage (punishing Link summoning with burn damage times Link Markers is pretty neat IMO) but I'm not sold on the designs. I was thinking whatever new archetype Aoi would get would continue the Trickstars' idol theme but with like a cyber Vocaloid aesthetic instead. Yusaku seems to be like the only Cyverse-user whose cards actually look cybernetic.

Next duel's gonna be interesting and fun. Looks like Specture's gonna be giving us a bunch more crazy faces for the road before joining the vegetable farm.

Think Lightning can make Spectre feel real fear?

Don’t know, but since they both horrible beings I hope both of them get rekt.

As in Spectre loses, but still does some damage to Lightning.

That last one is likely hoping for too much however.

So I've seen speculation Vrains will be the last "new" series. Is there any actual evidence supporting this?

Well, it'd be interesting to see WHERE they go after Link Summoning. Both the game and the anime.

A series dedicated to Ritual summoning, because it's about time. ;p

Lightning vs Specter begins. Specter gains an early lead. I guess he'll lose next episode.

Sounds about right. It does look like Spectre is gonna make Lightning truly lose his cool for the first time since he appeared.

We'd seen him get a little mad here and there, but the preview shows him hamming it up a bit more than usual.

Well, since this was going to be a Spectre duel, I was already expecting it to be great even if just for the faces, but damn, this duel really went above and beyond. We got a turn 1 Extra Link, probably the first Spell stealing ever and even a reverse "But you still take the damage" moment. Amazing, beautiful duel.

How unhinged do you think Lightning will look once it's finally time to face Playmaker?

And so Lightning vs Specter ends. No points for guessing who won. Next week is Windy vs Soulburner.

At the very least, Lightning will go up against Revolver before getting to Playmaker. How much do you think Revolver will get under his skin before the end?

Goodbye Spectre! You are The Weakest Link! The fact that he did something even Revolver hasn't (and possibly can't) manage and still got pwned does mean Lightning is for real.

Hell Revolver actually seemed a little scared of his Battle Butler at one point. Makes you wonder if he's aware how fucked he'd be if he ever had to fight against Spectre.

Windy is an asshole. News at eleven.

We briefly see Windy's partner, and I guess I misunderstood things. The guy isn't just injured. He's flat out dead. Though it seems like this isn't the same accident that injured Blood Shepard's mother...as far as we know. We don't see the car hit him. Just the sound of the accident.

What makes it an extra helping of Kick the Dog is that the dude looked like he was actually happy compared to Yusaku and Soul Burner. That he was healing from what happened, and then he gets murdered for it.

This episode coming immediately after the previous shows that Windy really tries his best to be a Spectre but he's not good enough for it.

Looks like a competition on who can hold it together the longest.

Next up s Bohman vs Blue Maiden. I admit, it doesn't look good for the latter, because they probably want another Bohman vs Playmaker duel, but lets wait and see how things turn out here.

Blue Maiden already won her prerequisite duel to establish her abilities. She's done for.

I thought as much.

It sucks too, because Bohman has lost every duel he's in, but now she's going to worf again to make him a threat they've never managed to make him. She'll also be the first character with an Ignis to lose a duel too.
