I doubt it's going to go that far. Didn't they say they wanted to adapt other games in the series like Symphony of the Night?
At the very least, Trevor and Sypha need to live long enough so that there can be Christopher Belmont and then much later Simon Belmont. (Though I kind of wonder if they'll simplify the new Belmont clan so that Simon becomes Trevor's son or something.)
EDIT: Grrrrr, 'd.

Given all that, if Grant shows up, he’s easily the most...expendable.
Warren Ellis mentioned in a blogpost ten years ago that if he was going to include Grant he would change him up to be more the head of a local group of rebels against Dracula.
It makes a sort of sense. Season 1 does open the idea that there could be human survivors in one of the cities Dracula attacks (We see the demons aren't super thorough).
Re-casting Grant as a guy who , says, leads a handful of survivors in Târgoviște would make sense.
Heck, as Târgoviște was where Lisa was burned, and the first city Dracula attacks, visiting it as a stopping point to Castlevania itself makes sense.
BTW, what are the odds of Dracula's castle ever being referred to as Castlevania?
depends on if they feel it's needed. Right now they just seem to have settled on "Dracula's Castle".
Actually, has it ever been called Castlevania in the games?

The Japanese name of the series translates to something like 'Demon Castle Dracula', so I don't think so.
Captain N called it that, though. :p

The Protomen enhanced my life.Season 3 is currently in production and Richard Armitage says he's recording for it, which I suppose means that Season will be Curse of Darkness. Given that IGA oversaw the original trilogy script that made up the Netflix show, I do wonder what that means for a series not overseen by him. I just hope the series makes it to at least Rondo of Blood.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Seems like they're really confident in this show.
D Id they confirm season 2 would cover the entirety of Dracula's Curse?
Can we get Season 2 first?
No they are going release the seasons in reverse order.

A risky strategy, but it just might work.
You think we'll get (relatively) lighter games like Portrait of Ruin, too?
Also i hope they keep Hector's chair obsession.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Ellis doesn’t know exactly when, only that it will be out “later this year”. Says these decisions are out of his hands, but that we’ll have “plenty of warning of the date.”

It's a rule in the digital age that we have to tell fans everything ahead of time so they can spend months to years scrutinizing the details.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!No offense, but didn't we know that already?
Let's see. If you go all the way back to the start of the year, there is a post there that says season 2 will be eight episodes long.

Further back than that, even. Season 2 was confirmed with 8 episodes almost immediately after the first season went live.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThe Castlevania show is turning one year old on July 7th, and Powerhouse Animation is teasing something big later this week...
Double post:
Get your garlic, wooden stakes, and demon-killing whips ready, because season 2 is coming October 26, 2018!
Have an exclusive still.
(Castlevania professionals, does that ominous many-sided thing floating in front of Dracula have great significance?)
In Save Rooms in Symphony of the Night, they turn into coffins that recover Alucard's health when he saves the game. If it has any greater mythological meaning I don't know.
Ah, another mythology gag to the games. Sweet.
On a different subject, Rob Pereyda issued a challenge, I accepted the challenge, and got a response from Mr. Adi Shankar himself!
Crazy cool, right?
Good news: There was a 30-second teaser for season 2!
Bad news: it was only seen at the recently-finished Anime Expo. Ergo, not exactly available outside to the non-Anime Expo going public.
So, have the next best thing! A description of what was going on in said teaser!
Is Grant even confirmed for next season?
I know Trevor and Sypha are going to be safe. After all, Christopher and Simon need to come from somewhere, right?
