Kaguya Wants to be Confessed To

I've seen some chapters on /a/ and apparently it's been moving towards AUs instead of ecchi stuff. One other I've seen is a Cinderella AU starring Maki.

Ishigami and Iino are always so fun together. Not at all antagonistic and on occasion seem to hate each other. OTP. Most manga wouldn't have two characters of opposite sex be that tsundere antagonistic without very soon pushing them together and just continuing with some loose pretense of them fighting all the time. These two actually have genuine things that clash between them, enough to actually have it believable that they're not a soon-to-be couple and that they might actually end up with someone else.

Ironically getting Kaguya to chill has the opposite effect. She really needed to let it go. I assume now Kaguya is going to give the President the cold shoulder. Guess he'll have to break the ice.

I love how all of her personalities are helplessly in love with Prez, even the coldest one.

Kind of weird how none of them seem to be aware of their individual quirks given they're...ya know, the same person.

I wonder if we're approaching Cerebus Syndrome; its rather clear most of Kaguya's mental issues stem from her relationship with her family. Think we will have to deal with that sooner or later.

Funfact: Ice Kaguya throw the hammer by her left hand since she is left-handed but she was taught to do everything by her right hand. It look like she loss control there and revert back to using left hand.

Well that's a plan that backfired spectacularly. Hayasaka Hersaka cements her status as best worst girl in this show. Her fake American accent was just the smooth icing on a premium cake − and I'm not kidding, speaking Japanese with that accent and actually making it sound good is hard. Not sure why she needed the disguise though, will she be in trouble if people at school find out she works for the Shinomiyas?

Then there's Sick Kaguya. Who sounds like Chika, weirdly enough. It's like a romcom version of a Superpowered Evil Side that must not be awakened. Miyuki can thank his sleep deprivation there.

Poor Chika was the Butt-Monkey this episode for once. I'm not the only one who heard that disgusting crunch when Kaguya forcefully turned her around, right…?

This won't be the last time Ishigami trounces Fujiwara's antics.

I don't think Hayasaka would be in trouble at school in general so much as with Shirogane in particular. Since Kaguya uses as a part of her scheming against him (she was one of the people who subtly convinced him to get a new cellphones, for example).

Hayasaka having a "generic high school student" second life helpful to Kaguya's plans in general.

I gotta give it up to Hayasaka's actress; she's pretty good at playing her multiple personas and making them all sound distinct. Right down to faking an American accent, it takes a lot of skill to sound bad at your native language and sound convincing at it.

This was a great episode; what started as a typical battle of wits between the two leads ended up in rather heartwarming and hilariously awkward situation for them. Underneath all of the planning and scheming, Kaguya is actually very self conscious of the fact that she might be a burden to Shirogane...it just took her being delirious to be honest with herself. And because this is a romcom, of course they needed to be in a compromising situation.

Ishigami spinning his own running gag onto Fujiwara was great, especially if you see it as retribution for when she called him creepy two episodes ago. Fujiwara always seems to get one leg over Kaguya and Shirogane., funny to see it happen to her for once.

Also Hayasaka likes having a life outside of being Kaguya's maid. She outright says she intends to switch jobs after graduation.

If you had to deal with Kaguya's bullshit for so many years, you'd probably feel the same. No wonder she wants Shirogane to man the fuck up.

How long has she been working for her, anyway?

According to the manga, since they were 7.

They're 17 now for reference, so ten years.

Huh… So the Shinomiyas casually hired a 7 year old maid? Or was she just her playing partner at fist?

Hayasaka's grandmother was on the run from Germany and the Shinomiyas took her in in exchange for serving them.

Kaguya and Hayasaka actually grew up together before they were separated for a few years, they met again when they were seven years old and that's when Hayasaka was officially appointed as her maid

Hayasaka mother actually work for Kaguya family, i don't remember the manga go too deep into that so i assume they was playmate first, probably when Hayasaka mom bring her to work, then she later became a maid for the family.

It's probably faster to just link to Hayasaka's profile page in the manga. Speaking of Hayasaka, kinda miffed they won't be adapting chapter 30, which is Hayasaka's A Day in the Limelight chapter. Well, it's one of the standalone chapters, but it shows Hayasaka's characters so much. I'd rather they put it in instead of Ishigami's chapter.
