Opened. Looking at it, I second making it a redirect.

+1 to redirect it.
Redirect it.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Replace with a redirect.
The description is terrible. It feels like a cross between interdimensional traveller and the hero, instead of being a trope of its own. But you wouldn't be able to figure that out from the really obtuse description.
I thought this would be "one character is the sole representative of his dimension" (as in a tournament or what have you).
Which... I don't know how tropeable that would be, but this definitely is a duplicate and can be turned into a redirect.

Expected this to be the 'chosen champion of your plane, dimension, and such.' like Dragon Ball Z Filler, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Multiverse, and quite a few Marvel and DC stories have done.
I would say cut and maybe YKTTW that instead? The name does not fit just a generic Dimensional Traveller.
I don't think the idea of a champion of planes is viable, that again sounds like just two tropes happening together, Tournament Arc and Another Dimension.
But is cutting and redirecting not a good solution before resolving this secondary question?
I think it is a viable trope. I've seen multiple works where there's a hero that travels the planes to protect his home. It feels very distinct from Dimensional Traveler, like Memers said. One is just a traveler, the other is a hero. Is that basically just Dimensional Traveler + The Hero? Maybe. But we have plenty of tropes like that.
But even if the name is reused, it would definitely need to go back to YKTTW. As is, the trope is just a duplicate of Dimensional Traveler.
The crowner's been up for about three days now and looks ready to call.
Well I only really support half the crowned, I am game to cut it but not redirect it. The name does not mean 'dimensional traveler'.
Redirecting preserves the inbounds, and the name can always be reused if/when someone launches a more suitable trope.
Does anyone want to YKTTW Larkmarn and Memers' suggested trope?
^^^ & ^^ Exactly. The redirect is purely to preserve inbounds; the name can still be recycled if someone wants to go through the effort of re-YKTTW-ing a new trope.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI'm cleaning the wicks. There were zero-context "X is a Planar Champion" WMGs on Jenny Everywhere and Rick and Morty; I saw no better option than to delete these.
: Wicks all cleaned up now. (Does Kamen Rider Decade happen to fit the suggested redefinition?)

Checked work description, and it looks like it can fit the suggested redefinition.
Anyone who wishes to start it up in the Launch Pad may do that.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSince it looks like we're done here, hollering for a lock.

Crown Description:
Planar Champion looks like a The Same But More Specific duplicate of Dimensional Traveler.
Planar Champion was launched in 2010 after (apparently) a very short period in YKTTW, and it definitely shows. Most of the example on the page are Zero Context Examples in the form of "character X from work Y" and a description that could use some sprucing up.
However, we already have this trope under Dimensional Traveler, which has 225 wicks and 900 inbounds compared to Planar Champion's 39 wicks and 69 inbounds. The only difference between the two is that Planar Champion specifies it as "Dimensional Traveler for heroes", which is just The Same But More Specific.
I suggest redirecting this trope to Dimensional Traveler.
