It doesn't help that it's a costume worn by about twenty different characters in the series, all with their own individual differences in how it's cut.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I'm thinking of doing another cosplay soon, but what to do...
My mom and I must agree, which is..... near impossible.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdWhat sort of ideas do you have at the moment?
"Yup. That tasted purple."Deadpool, my fursona (definite no), Nick Wilde, Blurryface, any Steven Universe gem (also a definite no), Daenerys Targaryen, anything steampunk, a Weeping Angel... Those are just a few.

ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdA weeping angel sounds really hard to pull off.
Definitely, with all the texture you've got to put on yourself with paint.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI've seen it done before, so it's not impossible.
off the shitsVery tedious for a 16 year old, though.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThe person I saw doing it was younger than 16, though it was likely she got help from a parent or something. Lots of body paint and cardboard.
off the shitso shoot
Still though. Yeah, I'd really want to do it though.
I wouldn't wear grey contacts though and I'd have to have my glasses on
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdSo I figure this is going to be useful.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I may be going to the next con, and I really really need to know what I want to cosplay...
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThose dye formulas are pretty sweet! If only I had the money and a reason to use them, though.
1) What are your favorite fandoms, and 2) What's your skill level/budget?
I mean I still don't know what colour I'm doing, but it's good to have all the resources together so I know what I'm looking for.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Marvel, Undertale, a lot of Anime, Furry fandom, a lot of video games honestly
And if I'm being honest my budget is up to $1.6k (it can grow quickly, my paycheck for this week is gonna bring me to about $1.8k)
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOMG!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOh good. That might make things easier.
Since the Stretch White would be perfect for Tracer's leggings if I was still doing her, and black is useful for Mari.

"Yup. That tasted purple."WHY ARE THEY IN EUROPE AND NOT THE USA?
Also, Daft Punch: When is the con going to happen? I can't believe I forgot to ask that since most people start costumes at least a few weeks beforehand.

And actually the non-stretch version would be good for that.
Which means I need to belt up and pick a version of the dress to make.

"Yup. That tasted purple."@Sharysa
This con is in mid-August, like in the teens.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI'd say to keep things relatively simple. A month is cutting things pretty close for things that aren't bought or closet-cosplay. My Captain American outfit for the Fourth of July was a really basic "shirt plus pants with the Winter Soldier design." Time-wise, it only took a couple of days to paint the design, but it took me a good two weeks just to find the shirt and pants since everyone was probably going through the Fourth of July themed red/white/blue shit as fast as the stores stocked it.
Well I think I know what I'm doing now.◊
Or that◊.

"Yup. That tasted purple."If you can pull off the neon-green in the second top, I salute you.
Seriously, if I went to a con in costume it would be a longcoat. A white one with pocket protector and nerd glasses.
And maybe a few chemical stains.
