So...anyone still play Borderlands 2? I need to find some buddies to take on the DLC raid bosses at level 30.

I just started playing it again on PS 4, where none of my characters are. So my Zero and Maya are only in their 16-19's right now.

They added a big "Pre-order Borderlands 3" banner to it which probably would have made me angry a few years ago before I grew numb.

[up][up]I'm in a similar position. I need someone to help with the final race mission in Campaign of Carnage but I don't have many friends on BL 2.

I'd help on yours but I've got a Level 72 character and am WAY over-leveled.

My Zer 0 is level 25 but I’m not free at the moment.

Finals week so I’m occupied for another week.

Ah. I should have mentioned. PC Version here.

I managed to get an old friend to help me with the raid bosses, but I'm willing to do them again for the sake of getting more Eridium.

B3 is supposed to have cross-platform, drop-in multiplayer, right?

[up][up]If you don't mind a Level 72 player, I can drop most raid bosses like nothing due to turrets.

I personally like to think that for no reason at all, some idiot bandit clan crashed Janey and Athena's wedding to rob everyone, but the bride and every one of the guests were armed. And in actual fancy suits and dresses.

The bandits outnumbered everyone, but they did not stand a change against a) quality purple firepower and b) tailored fine clothing.

Yes, they got Krieg to wear a three-piece suit with a lapel rose and all, he looks goddamn fabulous.

Woah. Woah. Woah. That's absurd! We need to slow down here. This raises too many questions.

Most importantly, who was wearing the dress?

Krieg’s a big and mutated guy, most suits probably wouldn’t fit him, so I can see him wearing only the bow tie or taking Bricks tuxedo-t-shirt idea

We sure Pandora doesn't have at least one tailor?

it’d be a thankless job since most people are content to scavenge what they find/keep wearing what they came to the planet with, but maybe if one day Maliwan tries to take over, fails, and then ditch an army of fashion designers on the planet, then people would start to care about their clothes a little more Maybe there is a tailor though, in the BL 3 trailer you can see that Lilith repaired/got a new coat that looks a lot like the torn up one she had

[up][up][up]Bonus points if he has the bow tie, collar, and cuffs... and nothing else.

Salvador feels like the one who would do the tux shirt thing.

Y'all think Borderlands 3 can show Destiny, The Division and (especially) Anthem how it's done?

I never played Borderlands but I can respect its take on looter shooter done right. I always thought of Destiny, The Division and Anthem as frauds, as the pretenders to the throne.

Seriously, look at how Borderlands games make it so much more fun. I am not a fan of Randy Pitchford but I want Borderlands 3 to show all of the games I mentioned how it's done. (and judging by posts as I edit this now, people missed my point)

[up][up]I'm not sure it's the best comparison. Despite the multiplayer aspects, Borderlands is mostly single-player. Most of those that came after were never intended to be played alone, with plenty of repeatable missions and the like to keep you hooked. It's certainly possible that people dissatisfied with those games could jump ship to Borderlands, but I find it more likely for them to stay within that grouping, and for Borderlands to be a different thing.

Yeah, Borderlands' crowd is one for either single-player, couch co-op or at least more-closely knit small group you're playing online co-op with.

It's not impossible for overlap of course (raises hand), but it can be safe to assume there's less overlap with them to a drop-in multiplayer crowd.

Also I take back what I said earlier about Tassiter not being evil, just a dick, playing through TPS right now and he bluntly threatened to kill the rest of Athena's family that Atlas missed if she doesn't work for him in a sidequest

I propose the radical theory that a series about a corporation-ruled dystopia is actually down on corporate executives in a general sense. They're all sociopaths by their very nature: people who aren't don't make it that high up the chain.

We only know of two good high-level capitalists in the series: Torgue (who lost his company) and Rhys (who is an Anti-Hero, stumbled into the job mostly by luck, and we haven't seen how he is now that he's been running the company for a few years). So yeah, the series has a pretty strong anti-capitalist message.

I'm not saying that this makes Gearbox, a corporation, hypocrites. They've made plenty of mistakes, but not MegaCorp "let's try to own the world" mistakes like too many others.

I doubt it. If big companies like Dahl have the resources to basically settle entire planets into Company Towns, and to just write it off when things go badly, then there probably isn't that much that could actually take them down. Heck, it took a super ninja assassin killing everyone related to Atlas to bring them down, and even then it still existed as a company.

It's been fun.
