I think what I love most about this last season is a huge amount of it is Stephen King's Dark Tower, the Dark Half, 11:22:63, and other fantastic work.

It's just done in the zanniest, stupidest, funniest method possible.

Man, if they make a version of Mordred in Riverdale, I could see that going hilariously zany in so many ways. Bets on how bad the CGI of his were-spider form would look, Charles?

So the season finale is gonna involve a comet being hurled at Riverdale.

That's...that's one way to end the penultimate season.

According to TVLine, Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin have an Easter Egg that loosely fuels a theory they're in the same universe. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, executive Producer of the PLL spin-off and Riverdale, entertains the idea.

     The Article
Thursday’s episode of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin sends a few of its characters to Rosewood, the setting of the original PLL, in their ongoing quest to unmask “A.” But their research inadvertently uncovers something arguably more earth-shattering: this show takes place in the same universe as Riverdale.

While interrogating Eddie Lamb — the first character from the original PLL to appear in this new series, albeit played by a different actor — the Liars learn that several patients from Rosewood’s Radley Sanitarium were “sent to the Sisters of Quiet Mercy over in Riverdale” when the facility became a hotel. Anyone who watches The CW’s gritty Archie drama should recognize the Sisters of Quiet Mercy as a home for “troubled youths” run by a group of corrupt nuns.

The question is: Does this really mean that Pretty Little Liars and Riverdale share a universe? And the answer is…

“I guess it does,” executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also calls the shots on Riverdale, tells TV Line. “We kind of just wrote that line in. I assumed that we wouldn’t be allowed to reference Riverdale, since it’s in a completely different universe, but it stayed in. So, yeah, I guess it does exist in the same universe. Bailee [Madison] gives a great look when that’s mentioned. That was obviously just a fun Easter egg in an episode with the biggest Easter egg of them all, which is going to Rosewood.”

And what of Lucy Hale, you ask? In addition to starring in the original Pretty Little Liars as Aria Montgomery, she also played the title role in Katy Keene, a direct spinoff of Riverdale. No promises, but EP Lindsay Calhoon Bring would “love a world where all of the shows come together, and Lucy Hale is in duplicate playing Katy Keene and Aria.”

But wait, there’s one more hiccup: In this same episode, Tabby refers to Ash as looking “like a teen Cole Sprouse,” which means — you guessed it — “both Riverdale and Cole Sprouse exist in the Pretty Little Liars universe,” Aguirre-Sacasa concedes. “It’s a multiverse!”

If you’re still with us, your mind is probably blown right about now. But given that Pretty Little Liars has already dabbled in the supernatural (via Ravenswood, which is canon!), who’s to say what’s too far anymore?

So let's see how crazy the last few episodes can get.

I've got my bets on something like making Werthers the main villain behind a lot of the stuff that went on. I just figure making the guy who's basically Frederick Wertham the main bad guy would fit.

Honestly though, I've also got a really crazy idea for how to end the series:

The main cast notice that there seem to be glitches in the matrix, things not being as they should. People who were dead now alive, people who were alive now dead. Then they all wake up in a mechanical underground chamber - realizing that they were never sent to the past - they were sent to the future!

Everything that happened in Season 7 occurred in a simulation run by a near god-like machine intelligence, called AC. It kept them there in order to entertain itself after most of humanity died out.

Ultimately shutting AC off, they say farewell to the Riverdale simulation (and Riverdale itself in general) and exit to rebuild the world.

Anyway an interview with the cast. Since we're nearing the end. [[https://www.vulture.com/article/riverdale-cast-exit-interview.html? Riverdale began as a dark spin on Archie Comics. It’s ending as one of the weirdest teen soaps ever made. Exit Interview]]

Ngl when it's over as someone said best: "Easily top 5 greatest bad show of all time. The writers know it, the actors know it, and the fans know it. Everyone's just along for the insane ride."

I really want to see the essays and articles about the show that went insane.

Sadly I kind of hate the last season as it seems like they've thrown out the entirety of the show's continuity and character building.

Which, I admit, is probably Completely Missing The Point given we have Russian spies retconned in now.

I remember a friend of mine in the UK. Saying he found it unlikely the show would ever have a Complete Monster type villain as it was so Down to earth (this was after season one.[lol]).

Boy was he wrong.

Well it seems like we're heading for something in the final episode.

Kinda bummed that Werthers didn't after all turn out to be some Sinister-esque mastermind. There'd be a kind of power in turning Fredrick Wertham into an insane supervillain in a media based on comics.

This is what I’ve always suggested. Holy shit, this is what I needed! YES!

This is how you’re supposed to resolve love triangles! This how they how they should all be resolved!

I'm talking about the four-way poly-relationship aspect of it btw, not them splitting up after.

Uh, geez. I know the last 2 seasons got really out there but I didn't expect Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to wipe out his entire multiverse of shows.
