Miraculous Ladybug

That is another odd thing, come to think of is. All this bit to turn Chloe into a spurned enemy who hates Ladybug and Marinette is a little weird given that we already did this with Lila. It's going to be interesting to have Lila and Chloe as (apparent) new antagonists that aren't Hawkmoth, but they have more or less the same motivation at this point - the plot we get here could have worked perfectly for Lila without much change, albeit I assume the reason it didn't is because they're setting up Lila as a bigger fish.

In terms of Evil vs. Evil, I'd love to have more of Chloe and Lila going at it. You know, if Chloe chooses to reflect on her mistakes, I'd love for her to end up giving her sucessor a bit of new advice.

• There might be more Miraculous in the future outside of those in the Box, but it wouldn't surprise me if Lila got a miraculous in the future. Mayura and Hawk Moth are powerful, but Hawk Moth can only handle 3 Miraculous holders at best, Mayura fully healed can take on 1. 3 vs 6 might make things more even.
• We've got at least 6 characters that haven't been akumatized yet: Sabine, Haberkorn art teacher, potential Emilie if it turns out Gaberiel gave her the Peacock Miraculous, Prince Ali, Mirelle, Mr. Kubdel, Alia's mom, Alec, and Lila's mom. And no, it wouldn't surprise me if Lila uses her mom as a future Akumatized victim in the future.
• Also man, if Kagami wasn't in love with Adrien, I feel like a lot more people would like her cuz man do people act so hypocritical when they decide Marinette should be with Luka while claiming Kagami and Adrien would be the death of humanity.

I didn't even knew Marinette and Adrien had their very own Wikipedia pages until now...

And yes, I did watch the show. A few eps. In case you ask.

So, the trailer for Chat Blanc has been released

a freeze frame after LB has the tray removed from her head shows Bunnix, meaning this whole thing is more than likely a Bad Future episode to ensure anything cool we want to happen won't and ensure the status quo, which as stated, is the shows biggest problem because it refuses to leave it.

At least Sword and Shield comes out that day too.

generally spurred on by the fact that Marinette is a awkward mess of an introvert 'IE guess who people relate to more' so They'll defend Marinette feeling her options out but because Kagami is being proactive in her desires, She's seen as trying to STEAL Adrien away from Marinette even though the two aren't a couple and all things are fair game when your single!

Heck, shipper will occasionally hate characters even if they’re not even canonically in a relationship that affects their OTF, just because an alternate ship is popular.

Yeah, and Kagami's an introvert too. The funny thing is Frozer and Ikari Gozen had both of them trying to give the other advice and help, and that only split people even more for some reason.

From what I've seen in other places online (larger communities, not small places like this thread) the ML fandom skews on the younger side. Which I think contributes to that to a degree.

Well Yeah thats due to lacking emotional maturity, and Ladybug is a mostly 'newer' fandom

Like if you've never been in a relationship you are projecting your ideals onto a couple and seeing it fail is a rejection of your ideals since its fiction you can be mad in a way you can't be socially in a real relationship breakdown.

Its a pretty interesting balance. Like 1/4 kids, 1/4 pre-teens, 1/4 teens, and 1/4 young adults (like me). Yeah you basically got it down. Even one of my friends had to explain to my club how hard Kagami has it and yet the fandom treats her like garbage. But its not everyone and at least no one's being toxic about it like other communities.

For a while now we knew that last two episodes will air Nov 17 and 23.

Later they moved releases 15 and 22.

Then 12 and 13.

And now we know that nearest episode will air November 10th. (That's french dub. English episodes will be on 12th and 13th)

Also, I keep seeing Cat Blanc and Felix spoilers, which are leaving me with so much questions and thoughts that I'm starting to think Battle for the Miraculous was intended to the penultimate episodes and those two are supposed to be the finale.

On that topic, trailers for both episodes came out so if anyone's wondering about new akumatised villains Felix just returns Reflekta, Princess Fragrance and Lady Wifi.

I feel like we already knew a team-up of those three was going to be a thing, like for a long while, but weren't told which episode. That was less of a surprise for some reason.

So Chat Blanc just aired

spoiler:it's pretty much just a Bad Future plot, and if anything, pretty much cements LB and CN can't ever figure out each other or Hawk Moth or Mayura's identities or this happens, and the status quo is restored at the end thanks to Bunnix. This is getting to be a show where nothing happens or really matters

Also gonna predict, going by the Felix previews, the Mother think is a Fake Out, Felix disguises himself as Adrien to cause havoc, and they're too stupid to realize somethings off with this "Adrien", aka an Idiot Plot

I've waited for Miracle Queen, so I guess I'll wait for this too.

IIRC English was supposed to be around the 12th, unless things have changed.

I will wait for english release before commenting about most of things, but I'll say two things.

1) I love that despite Cat Blanc being just a recolor, despite that fans were drawing him since the show started, still professional artists of ML managed to make much better design that any fan-made.

2) This was easily Hawk Moth's scumbagiest moment.

I found decent english subs on youtube thanks to a friend. Look up a channel named Miraculous Ladybug LADYNOIR. I don't think...oh Youtube links do work.

Is it me or does HM traumatizing his own son so he can Akumatize him not only Out of Character for him since previous episodes showed he was concerned for his safety, but also make him Stupid Evil because he could have just talked to him about it instead of going for literally the most evil way possible?

Was Bunnix appearing in Chat Blanc something that was confirmed? Someone in this thread posted something of the sort but I'm not sure if it was just speculation on their part based on the fact that she said he broke her clock. I must said I didn't see the time sheanigans coming and I'm really glad for them, the only reasons I see for Chat getting akumatized would be Ladybug and Gabriel, the first would make me dislike Adrien more, for the later Gabriel should have done something specially horrible. And he did, but I'm okay with hating him. Having Chat akumatized in the future instead of in the present gives the oportunity to develop the cicumstances leading to it through an appropiate amount of time; the fact that in the end he wasn't even at fault for all of this was just the cherry of the cake.

This episode was so good, I cannot help but wonder how they could even have thought Loveeater and Miracle Queen were good season finales.

Chat Blanc.

The most definitive proof of all that Hawk Moth is kinda crap at this whole villain thing. His greatest plan ever to make his son into his most loyal minion ends with him getting nuked in the face.

More seriously, though, this show really is kind of stupid about all the hoops it jumps into to justify its status quo. It wouldn't be such a problem if they did keep drawing attention to it, but it tries to have its cake and eat it too.

Here, the primary issue is that the thing that causes Chat Noir to become Chat Blanc doesn't actually have anything to do with knowing who Marinette is (it's triggered by finding out who Hawkmoth is, which is going to happen eventually), but the plot tries to treat it as though its Marinette's fault and a reason why the status quo should never change.

It reminded me of that Danny Phantom movie, with his future evil self that is treated as an inevitable result of his selfishness, but is actually just the result of a contrived coincidence that the movie badly tries to sell as his destiny. It's kind of stupid.

Also, the time travel in this episode doesn't make any sense, but then that's kind of expected. The Bunnix episode's time travel kind of makes sense if you squint, but this isn't the kind of show to stick to being consistent about it.

Addendum: Also, and this is a nitpick I'll admit, but thinking more about it, it shouldn't have been adult Bunnix in this episode. This would've worked way better if it were the first appearance of Bunnix as a teenager. It would've worked a lot smoother if instead of Bunnix being all "I'm super powerful and know everything but can't help in any way due to plot reasons," Bunnix was new to this, legitimately didn't know what to do, and was finding out all these things in real time. The episode ending with Alix learning everyone's identities and choosing not to say anything (rather than just not doing it) would've also worked better with the themes of the episode.

That might be the worst hiding place for Marinette yet.

I actually like Chloe this episode, this is the kind of stuff I want to see for her redemption arc.

Jule Rose being gay on the houseboat again.

Nathalie doesn't even need a Miraculous to 1 v 3 Three Akuama's.

...Although with Felix doing so well I suspect doing three at once nerfed them somewhat.

I really like that Mari takes no skeevy behavior even from Adrian.

CAT BLANC

Wow. I see why people think this one should be a finale. Blanc was easily creepiest, most unsettling and most tragic villain in whole show. I wonder how long he was sitting there all alone? He doesn't look older and I'm not sure what he could eat. Fights looked great too. I liked how Ladybug tripped CB and camera fell with them.

But yeah, time travel, no sense. If Blanc was result of natural actions in main timeline then how come Bunnyx even exists? What she always meant to exist, so we have time loop that involves alternative time line replacing regular one?

Really, Reflekta twice in one season? Maybe if I knew that we'll get a villain repeat I wouldn't be so annoyed, but similarly to Miracle Queen, I got myself hyped for new interesting triple villain.

Why poor innocent Adrien keeps attracting jerks who don't deserve his forgiveness? I think I've answered my own question. Felix was odd, at least most assholes in the show have some motives for their actions. He just "my dad is dead, I will put squashed cheese under a pillow". The punch he got took me by surprise - since when people get punched in this show?

Other characters were actually really good like Adrien's bluff that he's Felix or Nathalie kicking ass. Or Luka's small scene with Marinette. It's a great example what makes him so appealing: he's more interested in Marinette'a happiness than in her love. And I think it was the most honest positive moment that Chloe ever had.
