"You can bite right into it, but the skin's kinda tough and some people don't like it getting stuck in their teeth. I had this thing back home that would peel them and slice them in a spiral motion at the same time" Nails explained to Cole. "It basically comes down to preference" the militia man added with a small shrug.

Cole seemed to consider his options for a moment, before putting the apple back down on the table, then reaching back to draw one of his daggers, using it as a bit of an oversized slicing knife to split the apple down the middle, then quickly slice the two halves into quarters, studying them a moment before picking up one, smiling faintly as he showed the apple quarter to Nails. "This is how Varric would do it. Sometimes he would dip them into a spiced rum and eat them that way, but..." Cole winced a little. "I do not think I want to drink alcohol again. I drank with that-oh!"

He looked up abruptly, eyes wide, looking around. "I forgot to tell Lieutenant Wells about finding healers! I told them to look for him but today it would have been hard to find him..." He hesitated, as looking around had apparently reminded him of where he was, and he winced, slowly tucking his dagger away again, then turning back to the table, hunching his shoulder as though to look more harmless. "S-sorry...I...I can...t-tell him later..."

Cole gave the piece of apple in his hand a rather mournful look, before squeezing his eyes shut and just taking a bite of it. An expression of what could only be called pure disgust came to his face, and he swallowed as quickly as he could, making a distressed noise. "Ugh! I feel it moving. How do you stand it?? Like something alive crawling about on your insides!"

Yoshika, A-Pier-ing, Heroic Tales
Yes, now was the first person who would hear her legendary battle, who would go on to tell his friends and spread the notoriety she deserved! Yoshika had to weave together an incredible tale, one of selfless sacrifice and compelling characterization, one for the ages! Even the most seasoned, most jaded story teller would have to shed a tear at her story, and Seiga would have to come in and fill in for him. Since Seiga is way better at telling stories, even if they're not ones she was in, she'd do a better job anyway than some random story teller. With Seiga at the wheel, she'd put the kind of solid emotional backing that wouldn't make her cry, but she's good enough at faking it to make the performance solid. So, Seiga would tell the story of Yoshika The Eternal, Red Guardian of Immortals pretty well, and everyone would like it. Yep. But first, Yoshika had to spin it herself.

"I found a bunch of torpedoes, and I blew them all up in the monster's face! If that didn't kill it, I don't know what would've," she said smugly, one hand on her hip and one still gripping the dock.

Back to the Library

Plague Knight managed to steer the sailboat back to the Library docks near where Seiga was talking to Ara. However, he could not properly park the boat due to the motor still going. "HOW DO YOU TURN OFF THIS THING?!" he said, annoyed. He then noticed a big red button on it. "Oh." He pushed it, and immediately the motor turned off, the fan slowly losing momentum. The knight steered the boat to the dock, and tied up the boat after getting out.

"We saw a massive explosion occur underwater involving the monster," Plague Knight said to the group with Seiga. "Was it felled?"

Random Pier — Paper Face

Yoshika explained that she exploded the Leviathan's face with a lot of torpedoes. That ceertainly explained the explosions, then. Rex was just happy to know that the monster had been taken care of and that they had a prison to keep the troublemakers, as Sans had put it, in.

"In that case, thanks. Saved me the trouble of having to beat its tail"

The teen realized that he had never learned the jiang shi's name and decided to ask her but not before sitting down on the pier, leaving his feet hanging off the dock. It had been a long day, and he still hadn't had his fries.

"I've seen you before but I never caught your name. Mine's Rex" he then noticed that Yoshika had a paper that read 'By Imperial Decree, I command you to rise' on her face. Well, something like that anyway, it was hard to make out thanks to the darkness and the awful handwriting. Rex pointed at his own forehead "You have something stuck on your face. What's an Imperial Decree anyway?"

Yoshika, On A Pier, What Thing
Yes, yes, praise Yoshika! It was nice to hear someone besides Seiga talking about what a great help she was. Her smug look only managed to get smugger as Rex thanked her, and she nodded. "I'm Yoshika Miyako, and you're welcome, Rex." The jiangshi pulled herself out of the water finally, and took a seat next to him.

Then, he stared at her forehead for a moment, puzzled, but then pointed at his own forehead. She was confused by this briefly, before untangling that puzzle and realizing he was talking about her own. Reaching up, she noticed that there was something on there. Something long, and paper-y. At the moment, the back side of it was blank aside from a few spots where the ink bled through, so she wasn't really sure.

What was on her forehead, indeed? She answered with "Uhh..." while trying to figure it out herself. How strange...oh, wait, Seiga did say something about this. "I don't know what an Imperial Decree is," she said to Rex, sounding rather unsure, "but I can't take it off."

"...It still doesn't feel right," Sophie replied, stepping through a large metal door in their path and closing it behind them to seal off the damaged tunnel areas. "Leaving an ally behind like that. If not for this City's effects on us, Yoshika would have......" Despite their bad initial encounter, the jiangshi did offer to help them defeat the gigantic machine, so that made her an ally. That, and Sophie left not out of an understanding of the jiangshi's impromptu plan, but out of... what did the Captain call it one time?... 'self-preservation'?......

The lilac-haired girl looked up at Curly, still wearing that saddened look on her face. "...I'm sorry. We defeated that machine in spite of our limited options, so we should be thankful, right?..." Sophie trailed off again, quite clearly still uncomfortable with what had just transpired.

Random Pier — Imperial my ass

Yoshika introduced herself and smugly accepted Rex's thanks. When the paper on her face was pointed out, she didn't even seem aware of its existence. She also didn't know what an Imperial Decree was but she said she couldn't take it off. Maybe she wasn't pulling it with enough strength.

"What? Here, let me help you with that"

Rex approached Yoshika and tried to grab the paper, intending to pull it from the zombie's forehead.

Yoshika, On A Pier, What's Wrong With Your Hand
Much quicker than her usual reflexes, her arm shot up and grabbed at Rex's hand before it could touch her, trying to hold it in place with a very, very solid grip. Yoshika's mind didn't even comprehend her own movement, in her eyes it was like he was like his hand was just sitting there if the grab connected.

"...I can't take it off," she repeated, looking a little concerned with how Rex was acting.

Random Pier — Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty zombie

Things turned south when Yoshika grabbed Rex's hand before he could reach her forehead repeating that she couldn't take the paper off. She had a really strong grip, much stronger than her physique would lead one to believe.

Rex was shocked that someone would take a piece of paper so seriously, especially after Yoshika had admitted she didn't even know what it was.

"Hey, I'm just trying to take that thing off your face!" he said, trying to break her grip by pulling his arm away from her

Ara's plan to go try and fight the big lobster was mildly worrying to Jack. The thing was huge, and while it had been hurt before, the spirit wasn't sure what the woman could do against it. Especially if it went back underwater. After a moment, he made the internal decision to at least go with Ara to keep an eye on her, and possibly help if he could.

So he was caught a bit by surprise when the woman suddenly stated that the fight was already over. He blinked. "Wha- Are you sure? How do you know?"

A burst of relief at the possibility went through him. If the thing was finally gone, it meant the city was safe for the rest of the day. As little time as that may be.

"I think he found somebody you had talked to. I didn't hear much about it myself, but I wouldn't worry about it right now; it's really late and most people are going to sleep by now" Nails said, giving a yawn.

Nails then looked at Cole when the spirit complained about the food, Nails having a slightly confused expression. "Uh, we usually enjoy it. Plus we don't think about it mu-" Nails paused suddenly as something clicked. "Wait a minute, did you just swallow without chewing at all? Of course it's gonna hurt if you do that; that's how people choke to death!" the militia member told the spirit, then reached out and grabbed one quarter of the sliced up apple.

"You've gotta break it up and grind it with your teeth, mainly your back ones. Keep at it until it's got a consistency like a mash, oatmeal and cornmeal kind of stuff" Nails explained, then added after a thought, "uh, if you have either of those where you come from. Here, watch." He took a bite out of the corner he took and dutifully chewed it up, with his mouth closed because he wasn't some barbarian, then swallowed after a little while. "See? Now you try" the militia member instructed Cole. He'd keep at insistently trying to get Cole to eat and drink for another half hour or so, then finally the day's exhaustion caught up with him and he slumped onto the table and fell asleep.

Some time later, the world blurred and came to a stop...

"I've heard confirmations on our radio channel. It's dead" Rachel said after overhearing Plague Knight, pointing to her walkie talkie.

"Oh thank goodness" Thomas muttered, then looked around, frowning slightly. "Did Ben not come back here? Or is he upstairs again? I hope he's alright" the young wizard said quietly, then moved to one of the larger couches and tried to get himself comfortable to sleep. Rachel stood watch for a while, but in time even she succumbed to fatigue and dozed off, sitting on a sofa.

Some time later, the world blurred and came to a stop...

Kelsey's dream
because the gm feels like doing one of these

It wasn't like Jack's little spell had done nothing. What did bring Kelsey joy? What brought back that childlike wonder of her youth?

Kelsey was nine years old again. She was at home on a lazy Saturday afternoon, in the middle of Spring. She was in the kitchen with her mother, and they were making cakes. Part memory and part a new construction of her mind, she happily hummed to herself as she decorated one of the cakes they'd just finished baking.

Some man in a suit and tie suddenly walked in. Kelsey didn't know him, and her mom asked why he was in their house. He pointed a stick at them and said something weird, and then they just forgot about him; clearly he wasn't important. Then he went into their back yard, looking for something. Kelsey wondered if maybe he was looking for that strange toad she'd seen in her mom's lily patch, but it still clearly wasn't important, so she went back to decorating the cake and humming to herself.

They had made a number of cakes; they set them up on the counter in a little circle. A cranberry cake, a pomegranate cake, a cherry cake, a strawberry cake, a raspberry cake, a watermelon cake, a rhubarb cake, and a red velvet cake. Eight cakes, because eight was an important number. She was decorating the top of each one with frosting. A wide, symmetrical triangle, a line sitting on the top of it, parallel to the bottom, then two lines angling up from where the triangle met the other line, before turning to run parallel with the other line and the bottom of the triangle. There, perfect.

Kelsey liked making cakes. It made her so...

Happy.

Somewhere...

Miss Tairee stood and waited after appearing, until her boss was done observing the end of the day. Then there was that telltale sound of a pen scratching on paper.

"Don't you have something to tell me, Sekreh?"

Miss Tairee blinked, but otherwise seemed unfazed. "It's in your own rules that I'm allowed to deal with anyone or anything disrupting my duties at the library. A giant, stone lobster machine demolishing the entire building certainly qualifies; and it's not like I completely destroyed it outright. I know you wanted it to be their challenge" Miss Tairee said simply. The sound of writing returned.

"Oh yes, but that's not what I'm referring to. You seem to have plans regarding one of the people here, once they're sent home."

"Oh, that" Miss Tairee muttered, and folded her arms. "I don't see what difference it makes for you. I'll let you finish the timeline changes, record it, then just apply it retroactively. You'll still get exactly what you want" the librarian argued. As usual, there was then the sound of a pen writing away.

"But you didn't tell me. You weren't going to."

"I know you're gonna know anyway. Even if I told you first thing, you would already have known, so I didn't think I needed to" Miss Tairee pointed out, giving a shrug. The sound of writing returned.

"Yes, but you know I like you to say it out loud in your own words. But back to the topic on hand, do you not think it's unfair to them to alter their reality with them having no say in it? As we discussed before, terrible things happen to children across the multiverse; what makes this case so different that you would intervene here but not elsewhere?"

At this, Miss Tairee was actually speechless for a moment, looking down as she thought. "This one feels more personal I suppose... And the way she talked about it, it's almost like she's mocking me. Waving it in my face and taunting that I can't do anything about it" Miss Tairee thought out loud, then looked up with a slightly more determined expression. "And so what if I can't help all children in the multiverse; that doesn't make it wrong for me to help some of them! And why would you care anyway?" the librarian challenged back. A pen scratching on paper sounded out.

"Oh I don't care about her ultimate fate in the slightest. What I care about is the judgements you make now and how they affect the project. Keep note of this long term goal by all means, but don't forget what it is that we're working on now."

Miss Tairee took a deep breath in and let it out through her nose, then nodded. "Very well sir. I will try to maintain my conduct... Now, you have a plan for the next day already, I'm assuming?" Miss Tairee asked. There was the sound of writing, and a piece of paper floated over to her for her to read.

"But of course. I think you'll like this one; it should remind you of home."

Miss Tairee raised an eyebrow, and her mouth turned a little sideways. "What, just because it's like the same genre? I didn't really spend a lot of time out there, sir. The ninth day reminded me more of home than this does... And come on boss, this up scaling of the challenges isn't going to be the new norm, is it?" Miss Tairee responded. And as usual there was then the sound of a pen being used on paper.

"But involvement in this one is pretty much entirely optional. Oh it will certainly be quite the display, but nobody will be caught in the crossfire unless they intend to fight. Now, let us begin..."

Day twelve, the last confine
library

As the world blurred back into view, the library didn't look too much different. At first it seemed entirely the same, until one were to look at where the ten revolving doors normally were; instead there was doors that slid apart and led into small, separate rooms just outside the main room, which in turn had a second set of doors that slid apart to go outside, and also had these racks of glass helmets in them? The lights were on as usual so it was far from dark inside, but even so, some light from the sunrise streaked in from one side through the tinted windows.

... There was a sunrise. An actual sun was breaking over a horizon that was not far from the library. The sun rose up gently, but a lot faster than it normally should; heck at that speed it seemed like the day might only last ten minutes before it set again. But there was also the fact of that rather short horizon; the library seemed to be sitting on the blank cover of a massive book, with nothing else on it. And between this book and the sun they could see in the distance was space. As in, 'the vacuum of'.

Floating out there in this space they could see small planets and asteroids, a gas cloud like an extremely scaled down nebula... The city had been turned into a (relatively) tiny solar system it seemed.

And then of course there was the gravity. Or rather, lack of it. The gravity inside the library seemed to be less than half of what it normally was, letting anyone freely jump around the air with ease.

As the transitions were now around morning, Miss Tairee appeared in the center of the desks with a blur very shortly. Still wearing her normal attire, as was everybody else, she glanced around the lobby at those sleeping there, then sat down and typed on her computer for a moment. A cup of hot, steaming coffee appeared on the desk with a blur, and she picked it up to sip out of it.

The Library

X had opted not to go with how little he knew about the boss and instead had shut himself down into a temporary sleep mode, his Internal clock at least being somewhat consistent with the city itself.

But now with the change, he awoke and looked about, and saw the change, he smiled a little. It was a design style he was somewhat familiar with, and he had experience with space before, it reminded him of Lumine's plot or when he had to face Redips. Still, this didn't meant the city was any less dangerous, if anything moreso now.

X activated his internal systems and magnet boots to keep himself anchored, he rolled through his weapon selection making sure that he was still topped off, the new Z-saber was still there, or as his internal systems called it the "Z.EXE saber".

The reploid stepped forward to the center desk where Miss Tairee was, "Morning Miss Tairee. I see your boss has made a big change again, anything we should be specifically worried about or just the information on the plaques?"

Yoshika, On A Pier, This Is Confusing
It took a second or two for Yoshika's hand to realize that Rex's hand was trying to pull away from her head, but it relented soon enough and his hand was freed. "What do you mean?" In her mind, there didn't seem to be any problem with presenting this fact. She couldn't take it off. That's what she's always thought about the thing on her forehead, that's the only thing she's thought of it, and it made sense.

Rex wanting to take it off, even if he knew it couldn't come off, didn't make any sense.

Before she could repeat herself again, everything became quite different, to say the least! Their pier was no longer a pier, but a building, and Yoshika suddenly felt herself sitting on the ground instead of on the edge of a pier. Where there was nothing in front of her but the ocean, there was now a door with a window, and there was a whole lot more nothing outside.

Forgetting that something had just happened, she rose to peek her head out the window, and her mouth was agape. Staring out into the expanse of stars with eyes as wide as dinner plates, she said, "...That's pretty."

Library - Dawn of the Twelfth Day - 999, 999, 999, 999 Hours Remain

For the first time in a while, Zelda wasn't hounded by a nightmare. For that matter, she didn't have any dreams worth remembering. It was nice, in its own way. Maybe it was because she'd decided to do something instead of just mope about how she wasn't doing anything? That seemed plausible.

She sat upright, stretched, and took a look around. The library seemed more or less normal today, and she herself was still her usual self. Both of those were good; if the rest of the city cooperated, she'd have a chance to make something of herself today. Unfortunately for her, a second check confirmed the city was not cooperating. She noticed she was feeling...somewhat lighter than usual.

Then she noticed how the library's doors seemed a little different. And then she looked out a window and frowned heavily. The best she could say about it was that at least she could somewhat see the rest of the city today; otherwise, it looked just as difficult to navigate as yesterday. With a sigh, she concluded that she'd be better off waiting until the city went back to being more normal.

As for what she'd do today? The same thing she did yesterday, most likely.

Her first order of business was to try and regain all those items that were destroyed yesterday. And fortunately for her, Miss Tairee was once again present. Well, getting her stuff back and one other thing that came up on the previous day.

She then got up and went to the desks.

"Miss Tairee," she started, "About last night...I didn't get the chance to say this before you left for the night, but I don't fault you for what you did for Mary. Even if it seems a little biased, I understand your reasoning for it. And I'm not petty enough to hold a grudge against you for it, anyway."

With that out of the way, she moved on to the next item on her list. "Also, the great beast from yesterday destroyed everything you gave me yesterday when it wrecked the library, alongside my harp. Could you possibly restore them for me?"

If Miss Tairee needed help remembering everything she gave Zelda, she would help recall it. Once she had regained everything, she would thank the librarian before retreating to a quiet part of the library to go back to doing more research and planning her next move.

Balcony - Unceremonious Entry

"Dr. Sanda, I am experiencing an error."

These were the first words Call said as she appeared in the middle of a balcony. A moment later she had clumsily fallen over onto her back from the sitting position she had previously been in. Another moment later and she had quickly pushed herself back to her feet and immediately started looking around.

She appeared to be a somewhat short-ish girl somewhere in her mid-teens, with green eyes and long blonde hair that was tied up into a ponytail tied into place with a red robotic bow. She was dressed in a short, red and white dress, with what appeared to be long sleeves covered in alternating red and white rings alongside red gloves with white fingers. She also wore a pair of knee-high boots that were the same colors as the rest of her outfit. She also had what appeared to be headphones on, with the parts over her ears adorned with a "C."

As she examined her surroundings, it was impossible to tell her internal thoughts from just looking at her face, which remained entirely neutral. What she was currently doing was trying to determine what exactly had happened to her. In the previous moment she had been back at Professor White's laboratory, spotting for Beck as he participated in a Colosseum battle. Then suddenly everything froze and went black, and she found herself...somewhere in the middle of space?

Her next concern was that her creator had yet to respond to her query.

"Dr. Sanda?" she repeated, to no response. Her next move was to try contacting the laboratory. However, all she got was static. She then tried contacting Beck, then Trinity, then the other Mighty Numbers. She also got nothing but static. Whatever had happened, wherever she was now, she was completely unable to contact anyone from home.

Was she really experiencing an error? Or was this actually happening for real? Only one way to find out. On that thought, she started making her way across the structure she was in.

End of Day 11

Cole had followed along with Nails's lessons on how better to eat, and had managed to finish off the apple and drink some of the water...after getting the militia man to show him how twist-top bottles worked, at least. Though he still seemed vaguely put out by the entire process, once he got the hang of chewing (ignoring a couple of unfortunate incidents of figuring out how to keep his tongue out of the way), he seemed to at least get more tolerant of eating, even asking about some of the various other fruits in the bag before picking a banana to try next.

A brief discussion about the edibility of certain parts of food later, Cole found himself pondering whether or not to try something else, looking back at Nails, just to see that the man had apparently fallen asleep right there on the table, in his seat. Cole studied him for a minute, trying to decide what to do. They seemed to be the only ones over here, and while Wells had mentioned bedrolls, Cole had to admit he didn't know how comfortable he felt trying to take any just yet.

After a bit of contemplation on how to deal with this, he decided that the best answer would probably be to just sit still, be quiet, and try to let Nails rest as peacefully as a man sitting at a table could. He folded his arms on the tabletop and rested his head on them, just staring at the bag of food, noting in some corner of his mind that as disconcerting as it was to be able to feel...things happening inside his body, somehow they didn't feel...wrong. Wrong, but not wrong.

Maybe that was something to talk to someone else about later. He wasn't sure who...since he had no idea where he'd be able to go from here. But...someone. Maybe Nails would spend more time with him tomorrow, if he had to stay very long. That would be nice...the man was insistent on being nice to him, as long as Cole wasn't doing anything bad. He thought he could handle that.

He wasn't aware of how long he sat there, patient and waiting, before dozing off himself, head almost completely hidden under his hat and behind his folded arms.

Morning of Day 12

When the morning rolled around, and things changed, Cole wasn't quite aware of it, as he stayed asleep at the table where he was. He'd barely shifted, just enough to turn his head from one side to the other, and his hat was slightly askew. Even in the nice room with Sans and Caro, he'd only slept a few hours, and with as stressed as he'd been for so much of the day before, the spirit had been more exhausted than he'd realized.

Library - End of Day 11 - Peaceful night

As Lune questioned her on how the prison would be put to use, Caro looked thoughful and after a while, said, "Well, I guess the priority would the catching the remains of Ruckus, particularly their new leader. Then there are probably other criminals that we haven't noticed yet. And with the way these things tend to work and with the way the storyteller god operates, another group like them will probably emerge soon enough to fill the vacuum left by their demise, so we should definitely watch out for that too."

Sans told to not worry too much about his nightmare, since he was used to have a lot of those, even while in the city. It seemed that this last one had been particularly bad though. She guessed all that was to be expected, what with all that had happened to him both in the past and while stuck in this place.

What he said next was far more worrying. It seemed that this nasty nightmare had had to do with her. She guessed that with how much this place could dangerous sometimes and with how she often didn't shy away from such risks, coupled with how much Sans seemed to have come to care about her, it was no wonder that he would almost  literally lose sleep over it.

She didn't know to process all that. She couldn't help feeling a bit guilty about causing him that much worry. At the same time, he clearly didn't want her to dwell on that or any other worrying matters about him.

She wished she could do something about it. She did kinda have an idea, but it felt really silly. It was something that Fate would have done for him a similar situation, something that an adult would do for a child, not the other way around. She felt even more embarrassed to suggested it with someone else closeby. But she didn't knie what else to do and was starting to get tired, since it was probably really late already. She guessed that it couldn't hurt to at least try it ...

So, after going over the matter for a while, she got closer to him and then, while blushing quite a bit over it, she finally and hesitantly, somewhat quietly said, "Well then ... In that case ... Maybe ... Would it help if we kept close for the night? I mean ... We could probably both fit in here so ... Maybe we should try ... " After suddenly yawning for a bit, she then added, " On that note ... It's probably getting really late so ... We probably should go to sleep soon ... "

Before doing anything else, since she was still holding the ball containing Cole's gerbil, she looked around, before placing it on a small table she found by the sofa. She then shifted around and laid down, curling up to rest on the nearby sofa arm. Meanwhile, Fried flew over and curled himself atop the same arm.

She shifted her head a bit, so that she was looking at her friends and then, after yawning once more, quite sleepily said, "Goodnight, guys ... Hopefully we will have a better day tomorrow ... " She then quickly drifted off to sleep.

Asriel Dreemurr
Ruins

"Frisk, don't you have anything better to do?" he said in good nature, but he did mean what he said. It was best Frisk left and live their life.

It was also best if nobody knew he was alive because he wouldn't be himself for much longer.

The young human looked at him with the same almost blank expression. It took a few moments, but they finally decided to leave. Though not without one last wave good bye which Asriel returned with a smile. He stared at the path Frisk took for a while. Then he sighed and turned to the golden flowers. He was about to see if there were any weeds or if they needed any water but everything froze.

Was he turning back already?

Then just as everything went dark...

...

Somewhere else

...light came back just as quickly. He blinked and he quickly checked himself. He...wasn't a flower. He wasn't Flowey. Then...what happened?

It was at this point he finally looked at his surroundings. He blinked again. Around him, there were doors, and just a bit above was a glass plane. Behind that...looked a lot like the night sky. He looked up to see it continue and it seems he was inside some glass dome. His mouth was slihtly agape in awe, his current situation temporarily forgotten. He couldn't help but move around, trying to see more of this new sight.

And unfortunately bumped into someone.

"G-Golly! I'm sorry, I—" he said then his eyes widened.

He wasn't alone. And it was a human he bumped into, wearing a red and white dress with yellow hair. He was...in the Surface? But how? As his mind raced with a million things on his mind, he just stood there, looking at her in shock.

Day 12, a building in the city

After a restful sleep, Ben slowly and groggily opened his eyes. The fireplace had gone out, but that was all right. Ben had warmed up nicely from his sleep, he was just hungry now. But what could you expect from a day where you haven't eaten at all? Plus, he wasn't exactly peppy this morning. He was never really a morning person anyway, but he felt so drained after what happened last night. He blinked his eyes open, stretching and pulling himself out of the covers. He started to wander over to the door when one step sent him flying a couple feet.

"WhoaaAAAaahh!" Ben exclaimed in surprise, tumbling onto the floor. He composed himself and looked down at the floor, feeling a lot lighter on his feet than usual. "W-what?" he asked himself, baffled. As a little experiment, he hopped a little bit. Sure enough, he floated lightly up, a lot higher than he expected, and then gently sank back to earth. Or was he on earth? He sat a bit in thought.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Balcony ~ Bonk

"Error," Call stated simply as she collided with someone who somehow managed to escape her notice. After a quick examination, she concluded that she was not damaged. She then turned her attention to the person she bumped into.

Somehow, the fact that this person appeared to be a humanoid goat didn't look like it surprised her. Indeed, it didn't; she was used to a wide variety of appearances given the wide variety of robots in her home world. Since he clearly wasn't human, without any evidence to assume otherwise that meant he was a robot. He seemed a little too organic for even Xel technology, however, and he clearly talked like a living being as well.

Whatever he was was not her immediate concern. That was making sure he was also undamaged. Fortunately, that appeared to be the case. He did appear to be a little startled by her appearance, however, so alleviating that was her next concern. Perhaps he could also give her an answer as to what was going on.

"Greetings. I will not hurt you," she said, in her usual monotone voice, "Question: Do you know where this is?"

In any event, this seemed a little too complex for a simple system error. Whatever was happening was almost certainly happening for real.

Library, day 12

Sylvia's vision blurred. At first, she blamed it on her ongoing drugged-tea recovery, but as her vision fell back into focus she saw that there was something definitely off.

"Is that..woah!" She dumped Wander on her back - she'd been carrying him around, wandering aimlessly about the library - and ran to a window to look out. Sure enough, she was greeted by the sight of a giant sun, so bright that it hurt to look at. She craned her eyes and saw some planets with visible buildings on them.

"Looks just like home! But then...why are we still in this library?" Sylvia scratched her head, but she remembered what those people had said yesterday about the city looking different all the time. And this day it happened to exactly mirror home galaxy..."Oh, that's just rude."

So she wasn't back, but she could still make the most of it. Sylvia set Wander down, re-propping his hat onto his head, noting how the slightly-off gravity made him even lighter than usual. "Wander. Wander. Wake up, bud. You don't want to miss this." She got a light snore in response and sighed. "Anybody know how to wake this joker up?" she muttered aloud to no one in particular.

Library - well why not

Hearing Caro's response, Sans looked at her as she had started getting all red over asking it and chuckled. Then placing his journal and pen back in the dimensional box before answering her.

"sure, i don't mind if you wanna keep me company. not sure if i'll be actually sleeping or not though." He shrugged.

With that done, Caro began dozing off herself, while Sans remained seated and using his phone for a little while before eventually lying down and falling asleep alongside Caro.

Surprisingly enough Sans didn't have any issues sleeping this time, in fact it felt like he hadn't dreamed of anything. Eventually he began rolling a little in his sleep and ended up going a little too far to the side and fell off the couch.

... Except he didn't. He just stayed there floating in the air and just slowly descending. It was enough time for him to open his eyesockets and notice that he was staring at the floor.

One could see Sans his limbs a little as he tried to figure out what was going on until he gently fell on the ground unharmed. After that, he stood up with a confused look on his face until he caught a glimpse of the outside and saw that they were in... space?

His eyes widening as he came to that realization, Sans began moving towards the outside but he still felt the gravity working against him, just walking was being super slow. Instead, once he had both feet on the ground he jumped towards the entrance and cleared the distance between him and the doors in a single leap. Once he got there he headed outside to see what was going on.

Once outside, Sans saw it all. He was looking at the vaccuum of space even though there was plenty of light around still, courtesy of an easily identified sun; he could see the "planets" going around and he could still see that same amazing night view of the stars even though it should be morning by now. It was a lot to take in and for just that moment staring at the vastness of space, Sans seemed truly amazed, more than he ever did to the point where one could almost see the glint in his eyes.

"w-wow. heh, it doesn't really look all that different but... it's still pretty amazing," he said, or would if it was possible to talk out there, but he didn't even notice the lack of voice since he was only thinking aloud, the happiness in his face then slowly fading away as he realized that he was alone outside, making him bring a hand to his scarf, "... it would be a even better if you were here, though, you make everything more fun."

With a sigh, Sans then thought back to the library, reminding himself that there were people around to keep him some company while he was enjoying his new surroundings, at least until it started trying to kill him. He headed back inside when and saw that Caro was still sleeping. He decided to leave the kid alone so she could rest, she did seem to be pretty tired earlier.

He then drew his attention towards Miss Tairee on her desk, he did have some things he wanted to talk about with her, so he figured he might as well get the boring stuff out of the way first before anything else, plus it gave him something to do while Caro was asleep. Leaping all the way to her desk, Sans landed in front of the librarian.

"heya, there's some stuff i wanna talk to you about, in private if you could. even though most people here are sleeping, i don't wanna take that risk."

Library

"I think there's some traveling hazards, but nothing you can't handle I bet. Besides, even if you were destroyed you'll just come back" Miss Tairee said to X. As Zelda was walking up, Miss Tairee first averted her gaze, until Zelda spoke about not being mad at her, then Miss Tairee looked at Zelda with a slightly surprised expression.

"Oh... Well, I'm sorry for acting rude last night" Miss Tairee muttered, then nodded and added, "and certainly, I can get that all back for you." It took some typing, and some blurs, but soon enough everything from the other day was returned to Zelda. Including her harp, which Miss Tairee mentioned being the real thing, transported here and fixed, not a replica.

Then Sans approached, hopping over the furniture to reach her desks, and Miss Tairee lowered her eyebrows a bit when he asked for a private conversation. "Jeez, you people seem to almost forget I'm here for nine days, and now it seems I'm getting a request for a private conversation three days in a row. Will it take long? I expect others will be having requests... Probably for breakfast, just as soon as they're awake" Miss Tairee responded to the skeleton.

Balcony

"Holy shit! It's Roll!" someone yelled from off to one side of the large balcony. Two men came running over, both in pretty regular civilian clothes with a stylized green hand giving a thumbs up emblazoned on the front of their shirts. "See, I told you camping out here for new arrivals would be worth it" the man added to his companion, then stopped a few feet away and looked at Call with a confused expression, "wait a minute, you're not Roll. Who are you?"

"Hey look, a little goat kid too" the other man mentioned, looking at Asriel and thinking for a moment. "That makes you what, a satyr? You aren't some kind of demon are you?" he asked Asriel, his tone rather nonchalant and unconcerned despite the nature of the question.

Library - express talk

Sounded like plenty of people had been asking her for talks, that made him a little curious about what the others might have been discussing though he imagined one of those cases must have been Zelda and Caro trying to appeal to her.

"nah, it shouldn't take too long. five minutes at most." He shrugged.

Sophie and Curly soon reached another steel door a few stories up from the turret wreckage. Stepping through, the two found what looked like a ransacked viewing room of some kind. Several couches had been turned over and slashed up; the nearby bar had empty and broken bottles laying all over the counter and shelves, and barstools were either on the counter or on the floor. Curtains and tablecloths were strewn across many of them, though there were a few still miraculously hanging by the large viewing windows, now barely covering the dark waters beyond. Thankfully, despite the apparent signs of battle throughout the rest of the room, the glass had no cracks in it.

Almost like a reminder of what time it was, Sophie yawned. She looked up at Curly with now-tired eyes, the threat of combat no longer keeping her awake. "...Maybe we can rest here," she said to the blonde, before making her way to the only other door in the room, her clothes squelching as she walked along. She shortly confirmed that both doors had deadbolts on them to lock the room while they slept, and after a quick "excuse me," to Curly, she ducked behind one of the still-hanging curtains to temporarily disrobe and squeeze as much water out of her clothes as possible. She reemerged, her clothes now squelching much less than earlier, approaching one of the still-intact couches and pulling off the torn curtain draped over it before laying down and trying to squirm into a mostly-comfortable position. "I can... take turns keeping watch, if you want......" She trailed off, quickly falling asleep.

A faint humming sound stirred Sophie from her dreamless sleep. Slowly, she rose to a seated position, lightly rubbing an eye with one hand. I hope I didn't sleep too long... She began to look around, and as she expected at this point, the room around the two had changed.

Instead of the battered room they had found, the duo was now in a surprisingly stark-white room. The couches, originally a dark maroon with an antique look, were now sleek, white pieces of furniture; the one she was on, in particular, was still quite soft and comfortable despite its thin-looking construction. The wrecked bar was gone, replaced with what looked like a large, egg-shaped refrigerator, featureless save for a screen on one side. The still-hanging curtains were gone now as well, and the window they were meant to draw over was now oblong in shape, showing a sunrise that was... changing to a sunset rather quickly?

That got the lilac-haired girl to her feet. After idly noting that her clothes were now dry, she walked over to the window, placing a hand on it as she watched the sunset turn into night in the span of a few minutes, then back to a sunrise. "...Strange," she said simply, continuing to watch the oddly fast solar cycle for a while.
