Trope Pantheon Story thread

All right. All right. I just wanted to exercise in some storymaking.

Anyway...

On non-War of Light news, I have a Tale of Ascension almost ready. It covers the girls from the Doki Doki Literature Club. I would like your honest opinions. It's not yet completed, but its summary would be like the first few bullets in the profile, and will end with their club orientation as they introduce themselves to the Pantheon deities who decide to join.

Who should be the first applicants? I already have Princess Twilight Sparkle on the list (and remember, she's forgiven villains worse than Monika).

So what's this thread about? I gotten it mixed up with the pantheon discussion thread a couple of times.

This section is for Pantheon Tales, stories that would take far too much room as notes in a deity's profile.

Well even if the World of Light got cancelled, there's always alternatives... like the Emu War.

Hmm…I could still make a short tale involving the Mission Control team (though I'd have to change up the 'participants'; Futaba, Rise, Fuuka, and Alia will remain constants). Just replace Galeem's light beam attacks with some other slowly undodgeable attack.

Here's how I planned it so far: A GUAG collaboration between the Persona teams, "the Cult of Shepard", the Maverick Hunters, and whoever else has a Mission Control representative in this story. Things go wrong somehow while they manage to collect some very important intel and the Normandy is forced to flee, a slew of enemy attacks coming after them. Despite (Lt.) Joker's maneuvers, it's only a matter of time (according to EDI) before the ship gets wrecked.

Knowing Futaba is on board, they ask her if she can take as many as she can and escape to the Metaverse. As it is, the intel gathered is important enough to get it back to base ASAP for this plan to be even an option. Since they're in the air, going in means having to deal with a lot of freefall in the meantime (as the battle isn't taking place in a House), the hacker says she can't take that many unless enough of the "rescuees" can fly as well (hint: only her with Prometheus/Necronomicon).

In the end, Futaba takes her chosen few, they enter Mementos, and during freefall, she Persona Changes to Necronomicon (as it's easier to hold on a flying saucer than an orb) and catches everyone before eventually landing, and then the journey begins.

…Come to think of it, perhaps just replace Persona teams to just the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and Solid Snake, giving an excuse to add Otacon to the Mission Control team. And have a few non-Mission Control folks coming with this time.

On the other hand, maybe the other plot would be of the Phantoms and their allies (e.g. Snake, Shepard's other allies, Zero) on a stealth mission to grab more intel or sabotage the enemy operation.

So.. bout that Madoka Magica Great Upheaval discontinuity

Enough tropers are asking about The Great Upheaval being de-canonized it clogging up other forums. Could the following please be clarified?

• Why are we talking about removing it and banning similar stories?
• Are we erasing that story, replacing it, just removing references, or leaving it (as it contains too much Pantheon lore to just ax) and just banning future stories like it?
• How are we planning to deal with Whams like Rebellion in the future? Are we just gonna ignore them unless we come up with a satisfactory was to integrate them?

First, I believe we are removing all traces of this story and just replace it will the actual Rebellion movie and the entire Pantheon has to deal with the aftermath.

Second, because if the amount of backdraft I got for War of Light, I think everyone's tired to direct adaptations that will affect the whole Pantheon. Yeah, those are gonna be banned because nobody liked my fic (or me in general)

Lastly, we will be dealing with Pantheon-changing events still but it either comes off the heels of another work or something happens in Pantheon itself

We never said anything about removing Upheaval. Just the texts mentioning the story from Madoka's profile.

You all sounded pissed anout it, so I thought you really were going to make it discontinuity

FYI, Joker from Persona 5 confirmed for Smash Bros. DLC.

SMT is now "canon" to Smash, right when we were dismissing Smash's story relevance. Food for thought.

But remember that that this is no excuse to restart the War of Light story. The other bit I posted regarding Mission Control can be in a different story, though.

Yeqh, just poking at the fact. So, I guess if we are making stories related to events of home seriies, it’s a sequel or a rehash except its with the Pantheon? I don’t know, I think we had missed potential when I ascended Fuse

Was the removing the Great Upheaval from Madoka's profile to prevent Continuity Lockout? Or was it due to issues with the story? Will we do the same for other profiles?

I think it was because we created continutiy errors because we used the Lucifer frim SMTIV but it was revealed in Apocalypse that Lucifer was only one hakf of Satan,

A story we created got retconned by the next game. Just like War of Light’s development getting comepletely screwed once Dharkon went into the mix

Strange Journey Redux also has Louisa/Lucifer as a much more complex character. One who even gives his blessing to a world of Law that lets humans have their free will and rejects God, even when she prefers Chaos+.

I see Agent Smith has been moved to the GUAM from the GUAD. Given his desire to destroy everything, even causing marines and humans to team up to stop him, why?

With Nine-Ball's ascension, I'm currently planning on an ascension tale for it. It's going to involve this Big Badass Battle Sequence that spawns in the aftermath of Absolute Virtue's sudden disappearance, and how it came to the Pantheon.
