Does anyone know what happened to Heroic Sociopath?

I was starting to wonder this myself, it's been a few days since he last said anything.

Hm. hm. I'm interested, and am on a Filipino mythology kick. If Heroic Sociopath is still here...

Name: Li "Bay" Bayani (And before you ask, Li is his surname).

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Species: Tikbalang

Appearance: While he naturally appears as somewhat deformed horse-satyr◊, Bayani is as much of a shapeshifter as the rest of his race, and thus he normally appears as a somewhat nondescript black-haired boy who changes elements of his appearance regularly; he could make himself a regular Bishōnen if he wanted, but Bay is naturally introverted and shy, so he remains socially invisible unless he is spoken to first. As with many Tikbalangs, he's also something of a Chivalrous Pervert and will cheerfully turn himself into Mr. Fanservice if he thinks he can interest a girl.

History: The Tikbalangs, or Guides of Confusion, are a race of fae who serve as subtle bouncers and security for other monsters and mages, using their natural abilities with illusions and perception-warping to lead potential intruders and trespassers astray, and to ensure any thieves or attackers are lost long enough for their employers to catch up (they are also noted for the rain showers that materialize from nowhere that happen when they find someone not of their species and...well, "a Tikbalang is getting married" should really be said with a mischievous wink). The Li family is part of the Sandbar Clan of Tikbalang, who specialize in naval and coastal areas. One of the younger sons of the Li clan would be Bay, who was never thought of as a major heir to the business by his parents-and he agrees. He far prefers navigating to ruining navigation, and has wanted to sail for as long as he can remember. He's good at the skills required too-one of his electives is in college-level engineering. For his part, Bay is very much content to be a nerd...with the exception of the annoying "virginity" bit, even beyond the notorious appetites of Tikbalangs, he has a very idealized picture of romance that even he admits is probably more inspired by romantic comedies and bodice rippers than anything. He certainly doesn't believe in the moral superiority of "nice guys", at least, and in fact whining about "alpha males" or "evil feminazis" around him is a good way to walk into a wall.

• Abilities: As with most Tikbalang, Bay is a master shapeshifter-or more accurately, he is so skilled with illusions that he can look, sound, and even feel like anything he desires, and to a lesser extent can do the same with anything he can perceive, and doesn't even need to really concentrate on it to maintain the phantasm. The one limit to this ability is that anyone who wears their shirt inside out and backwards cannot perceive his external illusions and forces him to stay a yard or so away and mute if he comes close to these people. He also possesses an unerring sense of relative direction, which he primarily uses to find things he's misplaced and classrooms).

• Abilities: As mentioned, Bay is a prodigy of naval engineering, and is in fact good with most things mechanical. He's also not bad at all at math, and he's a genuinely empathetic and caring person-which also makes him good at persuading other people, since it becomes clear he keeps his promises very quickly upon talking to him.

@Daydre, accepted, provide you describe electricity control a bit more specifically. Like, can he shoot bolts of lightning? Or just control electrical objects?

@Truth Hurts 22, accepted. Damon could be stronger. For reference, my dude also has pain nullification. He can activate it any time, and it's just one of three abilities. Maybe psychic pain manipulation? He can distract enemies with little pinpricks, and also nullify allies pain. Just an idea. Also, there should be some way to resist Allison's emotion transience. Like if the target is feeling particularly strong feelings, those emotions can't be changed. Spells work in a lot of different ways. Some need words, some don't. Some need material components, some don't. It's all up to the players, in other words. And yeah. Originally it was gonna be called Nocturne Academy, but I figured that wouldn't be something someone would actually name a school

@svenorzokarkoff, accepted. That said, I'm not sure about the gas. I mean, if he needs to use it, it becomes kind of an instant win button? He just fills the room with tear gas and everyone is disabled. Maybe he can only shoot them in a small stream of black smoke, and then they dissipate into the air? So they can be dodged.

@KR_Vandal That would technically make him a Monster, if it was the actual monkey king that did it. However, his power theme could be "Monkey King Powers". Sometimes Heroes just get really weird powers, after all.

@Hazzy Haz, accepted. Calvin's powers are a bit specialized, though. If you want to make him stronger, you can. Like you could make him a cyborg, or able to make cool weapons, and give him a chainsaw sword.

@Leliel, accepted.

@Hero: I don't think Victor has the lung capacity to gas an entire room, since he has to breathe it out. I pictured it more to be like how a person would blow tobacco smoke.

So yeah, if Victor uses gas, It would most likely come out as a stream of colored smoke with that disperses after 5 feet or so.

I think I'm gonna have to drop out. I'm already a part of too many other RPs. Plus RPs with so many people make me kinda nervous; the last one I was in like this collapsed under its own weight about 100 posts in. Good luck to you all, though.

...No? Probably not. How about reinforced leather that withstands scratching and the elements, and sweet, sweet-ass shades that can sherlock scan people? Those other things seem a bit too off-theme for me.

@Hero: More like bolts of lightning. He could also, for example, recharge/power electronic devices, but he'd never gain any more control over them other than maybe turning them on and off.

@HS Ehh, I dunno. I kind of just wanted to have a normal(ish) guy without having to make Damon mortal. I guess it could be a voluntary thing, instead of only when some big pain happens.

Hmmm, so what about a guy with the Monkey King's staff whom the Monkey King advises every now and again?

He only has a few of the powers (supremely heightened physical ability, able to change the staff's length and size, control of the cloud, limited duplication), as well as advice that might be helpful or not.

So HS, what are we going with for Cal? Armored jacket? POWERED ARMOR BIKE? Maybe perma roller blades since that'd make sense for a guy with vehicular powers?

We're about four pages in.

I'll recap. The first day is kind of a festival, so it opened with everyone going to a bunch of booths and there was a magic show. Two students got into a fight, and the vice principal broke them up. Then the battle magic teacher who looks like a hobo with an arm made of stone took them on a tour, and they went to their dorms. Their names were vandalized by someone who's terrible at puns. And the vice principal ambushed a girl in her room to yell at her.

By the way, one student seems to be without a room while there's one room with three people in it. Can we just split those up into two pairs?
