"Well, I'll have to contact a different sister of mine for that ballista, but I have hope so far.", Anna says.

"Say, Nicole. Do you want to see our shop and smithy now that we've settled into Fort Dawnguard for the time being?", Jake asks.

Nicole answers with a nod.

"Sure! I've been wanting to see how it's doing ever since I last saw ya."

"Alright, let's go.", Anna says as she and Jake lead the way.

Nicole follows after Anna and Jake, both hands in the pockets of her leather jacket.

Indeed, it would seem that there wasn't a trace of the Devourer in sight. They did find a trace of Kazami, though - a scattering of black and red feathers on the couch. No bloodstains, parts, body, or so on, so at least he was presumably okay, but if he worked anything like a normal bird, he wouldn't scatter feathers like that unless he was seriously spooked.

Miles saw the feathers and, hesitantly, as if he expected them to explode on him, he gently picked them up. Upon examining them for a bit, it was clear his feathery friend had left in a hurry, meaning he'd been here when whoever, or whatever, had come crashing through here. As such, he pulled down the goggles Kazami had made for him, "K-Kazami? Are you there?...Please, please tell me you're there...."

Shadow Konngara is struck by Skippy's attacks, then bound by Wanda. She struggles against her bindings.

   "A juggernaut never stops moving forward. It knows no pity nor remorse. Moved by holy purpose, it will crush anything in its path beneath its wheels. This is the true meaning of divinity."   

   AMRITA DROP   

The sword somehow bends itself so that its "mouth" faces upwards. A single drop of golden liquid similar to honey falls from the sky into its mouth, and instantly, its bindings shatter.

   "Only in flames can sins be expiated. You do not deserve salvation."   

   BLAZING HELL   

The sword swings at the ground with great force and sends cracks through the earth, causing the entire battlefield to be bathed in screaming flames. This is similar to the attack earlier directed at Pseudo, but this time, no one is safe.

   "We kill each other for countless causes, but in the end, they are only distractions from the truth that in the end, we are all nothing but beasts. There is no need to hide from your nature. Now, let us all revel in our hatred and gleefully tear each other apart. With your claws, a killing spree. With your fangs, can you keep up with me?"   

   WAGE WAR   

A red pulse spreads from Konngara's mouth as she speaks, inciting everyone who hears her words to hatred and violence. In a wrathful rage, they will forsake all sense of tactics or even self-preservation to fall upon their enemies, and possibly even their allies, with furious attacks.

   "Thin and worn grows the thread holding high the blade of Damocles. The end is nigh, and the court shall bear witness."   

   CHARGE   

The sword glows with a violent light, the flames around it intensifying. Nothing else happens, and it should become clear that it's preparing to end things in one fell swoop with its next series of attacks...

Domon accepts the handshake. He is firm. "I've been training Lucina. Grima is also a threat in this world... more than one of him, I've been led to believe. Her skills in a tournament a while back impressed me enough that I decided to lend a hand."

"... Also because Grima is a monster, in both the literal and figurative senses."

FORMCHANGE READY

Skippy suddenly rises into the air and curls up into a ball before splaying his limbs out and manifesting his Keyblade Armor, mimicking the Super Sonic transformation. As he does so, a deafening choir booms forth from his heart.

The exact same choir sounds Galeem and Dharkon made.

In an explosion of power, the χ-blade appears in his right hand, and Power All-Consuming in his left. Bubbles of water surround his allies, defending them from the Shadow's attacks before bursting.

42 stumbles back. "What? This power..."

"Konngara... You did a lot of bad things. Worse, you convinced yourself you did them in the name of good. But... But I forgive you. No more stewing in darkness and regret. I'll make you see the light even if I have to drag you into it!"

End of Despair (Our Beginning - Persona 5)

Skippy holds the χ-blade over his chest and twists into a spin slash. He converts the spin from horizontal to diagonal, rising into the air. Then, he morphs Power All-Consuming into a magical staff and points it at Shadow Konngara, bombarding her with a Bullet Hell-worthy barrage of chilling dark and scorching light energy bolts before spinning it and launching a big explosive sphere of the mixed energies!

42 covers her face with her arms to shield herself from the raw echoing force of the attacks. "Holy sh..."

Intrigue, Defense Federation Base

Samus is fretting about. "Damn it... where'd that white-haired jackass run off to without warning us...?"

College Of Winterhold Exterior

Vergil, son of Sparda, stands alone in thought. However, a harsh wind blows through, prompting him to about face and hold out his hand, summoning the Yamato, albeit still in its sheath.

Vergil: "I know you're here, Dante. Let's not delay this any longer."

Unable to act in his state, Pseudo is hit directly by the scorching flames and falls, hitting the ground as parts of his metal body have been tainted by black burns. The bubble of water did take most of the attack for him though, and may very well be the reason Pseudo survived it at all. His systems briefly fail him, which does allow him to avoid inciting words spoken by Shadow Konngara and to reset his 'condition', no longer plagued by dread, but this also means that, when his systems resume functioning and he gets back up, he has no idea about what happened, meaning that he'd be easy prey.

"Have to... keep... f-ZZZZZZZZZZT-ighting...", he mumbles, his voice glitching out for a moment.

The spider legs that had been charging up electricity then fire their charged blasts at Shadow Konngara.

Despite still in an unstable state, he does realize that something important is happening when he hears a familiar chime. He cannot afford to turn to look yet though, afraid that he'll be unable to react in time if Shadow Konngara attacks him now. He does see dark and light shots being being fired at Shadow Konngara though, so he has faith that whatever just happened is something that's in their favor.

College of Winterhold Exterior

Dante emerges from behind a wall. "Oh, big brother, you never change."

He summons the Devil Sword Dante to his hand. "You really wanna do this now? You know it's gonna end like every clash we've had before."

Wanda and Pietro brace themselves, seemingly prepare to meet the inevitable with dignity... only for Skippy to intervene.

"How the hell can that talking dog...?!"

   "I don't know either, Wanda, but let's make sure what he did doesn't go to waste!"   

Once the Maximoffs have pulled themselves to their feet, Pietro opens fire on Shadow Konngara with a Chaos Minigun before dashing over to Pseudo.

   "We're probably gonna need to have a little talk after this, Pseudo!"   

Wanda, meanwhile, decides to unleash several red bolts of her magic at Shadow Konngara.

"I'm starting to understand why Pietro complains about your preaching so much!"

Vergil: "Foolishness, Dante."

Vergil steps out a few steps, giving the impending battle a little more time to breathe.

Vergil: "This fight is more than a spar, brother. This time, I'm proving a point."

He gets in a stance, as if he is prepared to unsheathe and strike at any moment, waiting for Dante to make his move.

"What point? That you're bending over backwards for another cause after the last person you swore loyalty to had to break you over his knee to do it?"

Dante calms his breathing and gets ready to fight.

The Duel

Dante goes in with a basic slash, then a launching upwards slash. If the latter hits, he will jump after Vergil and blitz him with an Aerial Rave!

College Of Winterhold Exterior

Vergil parries the first two slashes, going for a three-slash combo that, if it hits, will end in a forceful stab of the Yamato and a burst of force to try and knock Dante back.

Vergil: "This son of Sparda bends his knee to no one, especially not for matters as simple as yours."

Onyxis - Outside the Imperial Base

Wrustoiz had journeyed far, hundreds of his snowy footsteps lay behind him as his gaze traveled from the massive fleet, to the legions of troops entering massive walls. Fear swept over the Sith Lord, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. He stood no chance, that much was clearly obvious.

Wrustoiz continued his trek forward, hoping to remain unnoticed by the massive operation, and for now, it seemed to be working. As he came closer, dozens of troops stood atop the wall, blasters, and macrobinoculars in hand. The Sith lowered himself closer to the ground, the cold bite of the tundra digging deeper into his skin.

Wrustoiz turned to leave, he had arrived too late. The Sith Lord stood no chance on his own, and even he was painfully aware of that fact. He began to walk once more, with no particular destination in mind.

Dante gets skewered like always, and tumbles to a stop on one knee.

"Touche." He rushes Vergil with a lunging stab, the Stinger, then follows it up with a bunch more stabs!

The sword shakes from all the attacks directed at it. The blade is starting to look chipped, with the fearful eyes of Konngara's true human form looking out of the biggest crack. The eye on top of the pommel jitters. It almost looks like it's ready to open, but at the last moment shuts itself even harder.

   "An oni needs no cause nor reason to torment. Those born of hatred know only hate. It is their only calling."   

   ONI-KAGURA   

The blade points forward, with a ball of what seems to be swirling yarn threads glowing white appearing at its tip. The ball unwinds, unleashing dozens of dozens of these threads at everyone, piercing through flesh with ease and seeking out vital organs with great precision.

   "I am an evil spirit who has defied the laws of both heaven and earth. There can be no forgiveness for me. My grudge alone tethers me to this world."   

   MAEIGAON   

A black pulse of powerful curse magic spreads throughout the room from the cracks of the blade - the pure manifestation of a vengeful spirit's grudge, seeking to drag as many to the grave with it as it possibly can.

   "What good is your forgiveness anyways?! You will meet your end here, and the world will follow in your wake!"   

   TITANOMACHIA   

The sword, whose tone had been mostly level up to this point, seems to be getting a little desperate now. It plunges itself deep into the earth. The entire Palace begins trembling and collapsing with an agonizing groan. The great pedestal bearing Shadow Konngara's throne cracks and falls into the hellfire below, splashing chunks of flaming debris all around. Entire blocks of stone begin falling from the ceiling. The earth cracks, spewing lava. It's the very image of the apocalypse.

   "I AM THE JUDGE, JURY AND EXECUTIONER OF ALL THAT LIVES AND BREATHES! I DON'T NEED ANYONE ELSE! LEAST OF ALL ANY OF YOU! I AM THE LIGHT THAT BURNS AWAY ALL THE EVILS OF THE WORLD! NOW OUT OF MY SIGHT! BEGONE!!!"   

   MAHAMA   

The blade glows brighter than the surface of the sun. An ominous choir in the background chants the Heart Sūtra as it unleashes an all-consuming sphere of light all around itself that rapidly spreads, engulfing all in its path like a tidal wave.

This Body itself is Emptiness, and Emptiness itself is this Body. This Body is not other than Emptiness, and Emptiness is not other than this Body. The same is true of Feelings, Perceptions, Mental Formations, and Consciousness.

Anything and anyone the evil light shines over is instantly annihilated, erased from existence in a flash.

College Of Winterhold

Vergil gets hit by the Stinger, but manages to parry most of the other stabs, responding with not an attack, but a hop back and flurry of Summoned Swords.

Skippy stands firm against the onslaught, even as 42 is thoroughly routed. Oni-Kagura bounces off his armor, Maeigaon provokes no reaction, and Titanomachia - not a scratch.

Skippy swings his arms out, and the χ-blade and its lookalike split apart into a swarm of shards, glowing with the power of light and darkness. He thrusts forward, and the shards catch the Mahama, containing the intensifying light and stopping it from ever reaching the party.

"No, Konngara. Your light is empty, merely darkness that thinks it can play pretend. Now..."

Pushing forward a second time, the Keyblades absorb the light and return to his hands.

"OPEN YOUR EYES TO TRUTH!"

MYRIAD TRUTHS

He spins the blades in front of him like a clock, then true holy light - the light of Skippy's own heart - rains down upon Shadow Konngara. This energy forces the world's truths upon her on top of the devastating Almighty damage.

Dante dashes back and uses Swords Formation, summoning up some swords of his own...

"It's a power that tempts, then."

Alderoth, for the briefest of moments, closed his eye, instead humming to himself for a few moments.

Then, he reoriented his gaze towards Null.

"That's unfortunate. I can't say I've had the same experience with my magic."

The lamp-staff, still held in his hands, pulsated briefly, wisps of dark energy fluttering around it momentarily, before dispersing.

While Pseudo's metal body greatly protects him against the threads, to say they do no damage to him at all would be a big lie. They strike clear, cutting some chunks out of his body, but none deep enough that Pseudo's body is in danger of giving out.

It leaves him wide open to the black pulse, but just as it reaches him something drops in from above, standing in front of him, using its body to shield Pseudo from the attack.

After the attack it turns out to have been Pilly◊, having used her Ultra Defense ability to make her body invulnerable for a moment, at the cost of being unable to move. Still, for simply defending against an attack like this it's the perfect move.

"P... Pilly?", Pseudo mutters weakly as his younger sister's body turns back to normal. She says nothing, simply letting her mechanical spider legs appear while glaring at Shadow Konngara with an intensity unbecoming of a gentle soul like hers.

She stands tall even as the ground begins to shake while Pseudo almost loses his balance. Her spider legs open, shooting lasers at the incoming chunks of flaming debris and the falling stone before they can reach either her or Pseudo.

Pseudo stares at her for a moment as she defends him, unflinching and unafraid despite the literal hellish situation they're in. He feels honest awe.

What is he doing? He's letting his state hold him back while his younger sister, designed as a weapon she may be, is defending him without any visible fear or hesitation despite now being involved in a dangerous situation he had never intended to burden her with.

When the lava spews, Pseudo gets his act back together and redirects all remaining power from his spider legs, making them go slack, to his hands in order to cast powerful PSI Shields, blocking even the lethal liquids from reaching him and his sister.

"We're ending this fight together.", Pseudo says, to which Pilly glances back for a moment, nodding determinedly.

Then the sphere of light forms, shining across the battlefield. With Skippy holding it back though, Pilly immediately acts, casting Nesley's PSI Flash at Shadow Konngara. The effects may not even reach her, but as long as the light blinds her to her enemies' positions for even a moment, Pilly's plan will have worked.

She then turns to Pseudo and grabs his hand, after which he launches them both into the air by bombarding the ground beneath them. Once up in the air, they chime in with what they hope will be the final blow against Shadow Konngara.

"Whether you accept their forgiveness or not...", Pilly says, creating a lightning sphere around her and her brother.

"I still give it to you...", Pseudo says, charging up an Annihilator Beam.

"Because Konngara..."

Pseudo aims his free hand downwards as Pilly's lightning sphere malforms until it surrounds Pseudo's hand like a glove.

"DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE!"

Pseudo then launches his Annihilator Beam, now coated in what's almost a literal armor of lightning from Pilly's lightning empowering it, resulting in an even more powerful Annihilator Beam than any Pseudo has ever pulled off before.

"Is that so? Interesting... Say, you seem very curious as to my powers, and I am curious about your own. Would I be able to get a demonstration? In return I shall give you one of my own."

Null asked this question, giving a wary glance to the staff that he held. He felt something about it wasn't ordinary. Perhaps this man used it as a conduit? Or maybe it just held special importance to the man. Either way, he wanted to find out.

Acting fast, Pietro hacks away at the deadly yarn springs with a pair of Chaos Hookswords, narrowly evades the effect of Maeigaon and Titanomachia by darting about as fast as he possibly can, and attempts to ensnare Shadow Konngara with a pair of Chaos Chains in the hopes of keeping her in place.

   "Just shut up with the goddamn apocalypse speeches, man! You're not gonna kill everyone if I can help it!"   

"Next time I see any of those weird kids, I'm asking them if all Shadows are this much of a pain to fight. And I swear to god, if Shadow Thor somehow happens, whoever fights him is on their own..."

Calling upon all of the training she'd received from Mara, Wanda conjures up the strongest barrier she can possibly muster to defend herself and whoever's closest to her from Shadow Konngara's onslaught. While the barrier noticeably strains and cracks from the pressure, she continues to maintain it nonetheless.

"Wait... when did you get here, Pilly?"

"That would be a fair proposition."

Alderoth's face was decorated by a friendly smile, the Summoner taking a few steps back, one hand letting go of his staff.

Then, now with a free arm, he extended it outwards and swung, and his motion called forth a twisting mirage of arcane power, shimmering in the air for a few moments and crystallising. In the air, they simply stood aloft, making not a single move.

...Right until the dark-haired man gestured, and the shards were sent flying with incredible speed, becoming audible as they ripped through and whizzed by Null's direction, each and every single one striking a nearby tree trunk, becoming embedded in the bark with a faint thud.

Alderoth, now appearing to be done, simply lowered his hand and rested it behind him.

Silence. Past them, the tree creaked, wobbling for a few moments, before collapsing entirely, its trunk splitting into two with audible cracking. And not in the sense of a tree being cut by loggers. This one quite literally split into half vertically, with the resulting disturbance eventually making it collapse.
