The Shin Megami Tensei V announcement was great, especially since it's getting a worldwide simultaneous release.

The trailer for the remastered version of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne makes me wonder if it will have voice acting in it. I hope they give the Fiends actual voiced lines if that's the case.

Cadance of Hyrule is a maybe for me now that its getting a physical edition.

Since I never got around to picking it up.

I have no idea if the SMT port is a big deal or not. But I might also pick that up if it releases at a not busy time.

@Nouct: They've done it for all their games, and for the most part have all worked out fine (Hell, Kasumi is my favorite).

If they do as a teaser for SMT V, I'm fine with that.

Cadence of Hyrule DLC was a good hype starter for me, and I'm also happy for all the SMT fans.

Unless they back down on a lot of mechanics people are going to get a very unpleasant wake-up call when they try SMT 3 thinking it'll be like Persona, that's the real old school Nintendo Hard RPG.

There were three versions of SMT 3: The original Japan-only version, without Dante or Raidou; the enhanced version, with an extra ending, Dante, and an international release; and the third version, which was balance fixes, bug fixes, and replaced Dante with Raidou, and also never got a international release... until now.

actually the real problem is they won't add more husbandos where's more content like Theodore and Maruki

Eh I don't really think they'll tweak that hard with it besides voice acting and maybe some gameplay rebalancing, but rewriting a bit of Nocturne is gonna be a hard sell for me specifically.

I just realized the irony in the company that helped break a significant information drought for Nintendo was f***ing Atlus of all companies.

That's like getting your game's glitches and errors corrected by Ubisoft.

I really should play the first game soon. I picked it up when it was on sale for stupid cheap but it's just been collecting dust on my Switch like all the other games I impulse buy.

Anyway, the Direct Mini in Japan had an extra trailer for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy:

It is what it is, was a brief but breezy sequence of games. Most of them don't excite me and the brief snapshots we got weren't as informative as I'd have liked, but more Cadence is very nice, and the SMTV news is probably the biggest thing there for a lot of people.

I will say that I'm seeing a lot more dislikes on the actual Direct video than the SMTV trailer and in terms voicing displeasure, that seems a lot more fair.

Blame the rabid fanboys for being ridiculous and setting their expectations too high even with Nintendo's explicit statement that it was never meant to be a grandiose announcement of any kind.

Has anything been branded an "HD Remaster" ever and had significant changes like that?

I think the most radical HD Remaster I've ever seen was Wind Waker and that was still barely different.

I already coming with terms of Bayonetta 3 becoming a Star Fox game.

Its the drought and lack of information in general I think. 4 months since the mini-direct (and close to 10 since a full one) and of course something like this is gonna be ripped apart.

Well, I do think this is just a preview of a full on general Direct coming soon, so I had little expectations. But hey, Cadence of Hyrule and Shin Megami Tensei should satisfy for now, I guess.

For once I can sort of sympathize with the rabid fanboys, but I only dislike a youtube video when it deeply offends my sensibilites. This isn't even close to that. Then again I can accept that there will be people who are excited for shin megami tensei.

That and the "leakers" saying that 3D Mario collection would still be announced as a surprise, though it's people's own fault for taking that with a bag of sugar.
