Though it's a long shot, I do hope The Endless get at least a mention on the show. Hell, Perky Goth girl Death would probably fit right in.

An interview with EP Joe Henderson about Lucifer. It's very nice that he's a big fan of Sandman and Lucifer comics, as well as Neil Gaiman and Mike Carey. And apparently, they will pull more from the comics, although he doesn't know yet if they could use the Endless.

Henderson was also the EP of White Collar, which I thought did really manage to balance the case of the week with the overall story arc, so that's good.

Hmm...that reminds me that I should finish The Sandman. I've probably read up to 4 volumes and liked what I've read.

There was something about that series that reminded me of Jojos Bizarre Adventure, but I can't put my finger on...

So. Seeing Lucifer playing the piano has given me one thing I absolutely want to see before this show reaches the end of its run.

A fiddle contest. Or at least for someone to challenge Lucifer to one only for him to decline because he's dreadful at it.

I love her kid, though it may be pushing it a bit to make so...okay and unconfused about seeing her mom's boobs in a movie.

It would be Cassandra Truth in the instances where Chloe didn't believe Lucifer when he told her the truth about him?

I enjoyed this episode much more than the first, mainly because it wasn't all about the Case of the Week. Again, Joe Henderson is good with balancing the Case of the Week stuff with the long term story-arc — the Amanadiel stuff, the Lucifer changing stuff, and especially the ending where we see Chloe visit the bad guy from the first episode and she starts to believe that yes, perhaps Lucifer is the Devil.

That was actually a genuinely creepy ending. I was really impressed.

Yes I do really want to see more story arc stuff. Hell, I want to see Hell XD

Also, Tom Ellis is almost having too much fun with this ^^

So far I like it but I have to wonder how long they can do the Satan-as-Castle thing before it gets stale. I really want them to explore the supernatural side more and I would cut off a nipple to get John Constantine to make an appearance.

Tried to watch the second episode, but I lost interest. The show just isn't doing anything for me.

Another straight procedural ep. Kind of meh, except for the end when Lucifer went all avenging angel on the perp.

But next week looks to be more mythology focused which is good.

The show is okay, but I'm tired of Chloe not believing Lucifer. It's a tired trope and she's already seem him work his powers before. Hell, she saw him get shot multiple times and still walk away. The show should just get her to believe him and that's it.

I think after seeing him Force-chuck a perp through a window she believes him.

It seems that way.

I'm sorry, this was more interesting when it was called Forever and instead of throwing people around he just came dripping wet and naked out of the nearest river whenever he died. tongue

ETA: It's not a bad show, and I'll continue watching it. I don't read comic books so I have no familiarity with the source material anyway. Will say that I'm not taking this at face value. Far as I'm concerned, neither he, nor the comic book source, could be Satan. You couldn't make an interesting form of the original Satan or Jesus or God as the central character of your series because their powers are so much greater than ours that they'd have to be working with both hands tied behind their backs, as well as a blindfold and a ballgag on to be as handicapped as we are compared to their "real" forms. And that might not handicap them enough, really.

I'd love to see a show with Lucifer as the cop's mentor figure a la Greg House, except with the crime already solved and the crook's soul bagged while leaving it to the cop to figure out who did it. It still wouldn't be faithful to the original source material for all of this stuff, but it'd be a bit more interesting and believable than this supernatural buddy cop pattern that's starting to form.

God and Satan generally have the workarounds of obeying an established set of rules God himself put forth (so like Satan couldn't just turn into a seven-headed beast and level New York or some shit like that), but the show somewhat implies Satan can basically act unrestrained on Earth, which is harder to explain.

Somehow I doubt God would care enough to set rules against Satan instaknowing who a killer is and punishing him for his sins. I mean, what kind of deity responsible for punishing the sinful would he be if he had to actively do sleuth work to figure out who he should be punishing?

I'm not annoyed that Lucifer isn't leveling cities, it just doesn't make any sense for him to have to actually do work. And I'm certain there's nothing in-show (maybe not even in comic) that suggests he's deliberately holding back from using his powers in ways he physically can use them. In the first episode, he seems genuinely upset that the girl died, and takes it upon himself to solve her murder. If he had Satan-level powers to tap into, he would have known who the guy was from the very start and been on the cell phone calling his minions to drag his soul to Hell before the first commercial break.

Tom Ellis's performance is essentially what keeps me coming back. And my weakness for romantic plots, though in this case I'm kinda torn. I like Chloe x Lucifer, they see to have decent chemistry, but it's...I dunno...kind of a let down that the Lord of Hell is brought down by Twu Wuv.

Now, if Chloe turns out to be half angel or some such, THEN it would get interesting. I do tend to like the show considerably more when delves into the magicky side of things.

I do hope we get Constantine crossover, and some appearances from the Endless. That would be cool. I also hope they do the damage and scars on Lucifer's back from cutting his wings off, though they probably won't.

[up] I can't see the Endless happening anytime soon, but it would be really cool if we just just a mention. Sometime. I'd appreciate it if they let us know he had wings in the past.

I've finally started reading Sandman, it's really interesting.

There probably won't be any appearance of the Endless until second season, assuming there is one.
