Dunno. I'm getting anxious over news.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.Same here but i keep myself calm hoping, though at this point, it's Hope Spot. Keep yourself calm as well. At least that map on countries and Net Neutrality posted in the previous page 25 has our (from the Philippines too BTW) country on "research pending".
If anything new happens, you'll know right away. You can't rush these things.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Yeah, pretty sure nothing's happened since Luke Skywalker spoke.
Hopefully I'll feel confident to change my avatar off this scumbag soon. Apologies to any scumbags I insulted. The endless wave of lawsuits towards the FCC will come eventually. It's a slow process, so be patient.
Internet a 'lifeline for LGBTQ people': Advocates slam net neutrality repeal.
LGBTQ groups, including GLAAD and GLSEN, have come out against the FCC's repeal of net neutrality, pointing out how the internet provides resources and gathering places for otherwise isolated LGBTQ people.
EDIT: Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer calls for a Senate vote to overturn the FCC's decision.
Well, that's something at least. Hopefully he can use the fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans want net neutrality to scare the Republicans into submission. Not holding my breath there, but it'd be nice.

Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down. Can the Senate do that?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Yes, but not without at least some GOP senators supporting it.

Isn't it 51 Republicans and 49 Democrats right now? How many do you need to agree to this proposal for it to get off the ground?
I think it was 60, so 11 Republicans, assuming that all of the Democrats don't get fooled by Pai and the ISP's propaganda.
Apologies, I had to fix that. If you saw Pai's video... Let's just say he isn't fooling anyone. And the ISPs are consistently the most hated businesses in the states. No one I've ever heard besides the FCC Chair believes a word they say on this subject.
The closest I've seen to people defending them are comments along the lines of "well, the ISPs provide the service for our money, so they should be able to screw us if they want to. We can always stop paying." Look with century eyes... With our backs to the arch And the wreck of our kind We will stare straight ahead For the rest of our lives
Sure, stop paying for internet. Let's see you survive today's world without it.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I looked it up. 52 Republican seats, 46 Democrat seats, 2 independents that generally vote with the Dems. When you remove Moore and put in Doug Jones, you get 51 to 49.

51, since Sessions' seat is vacant and will be taken by a Democrat.
From what I understand, the Senate only needs a simple majority to overturn the FCC's ruling and restore Net Neutrality.
In addition, there is currently one Senator down, John Mc Cain, who is out due to cancer recovery.
Another addition, we really don't know where Pence sits on this issue, since he would be the deciding vote in the case of a tie, although with Mc Cain down, I don't think there would be.
This means we would need to turn two Republican Senators.
Sessions' seat is still currently being held by Luther Strange until next year or if the Senate returns between Christmas and New Years, if need be, when Doug Jones takes the seat.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I totally forgot about Mc Cain, I was wondering where he went after losing to Obama
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.Mc Cain has some seriously bad cancer (the same cancer which took Biden's son a couple of years ago) and probably won't make it long into 2018.
Doesn't excuse the shit he's pulled over the course of this year however.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Bah, forgot about Strange.
I guess we'll see if Republicans care more about money than midterms.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."That's why I'm assuming that it'll fail, which isn't the worst thing in the world. We can use it to make them suffer during the midterms.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI've never been a fan of the "democrats good, republicans bad" mindset. It just comes across as black and white to me, and is part of the reason I hate politics.
Anyways, if a black man can reform a bunch of klansmen just by talking to them, I don't see why it's impossible to convince republican politicians that net neutrality is important.
Everything that can be said about it has been and there's no news on the subject. What do you want from us?
