That does look like a solid crew. This looks like it could work!
"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"That sounds pretty awesome. I wonder if they'll go with a bigger person-in-a-mask conspiracy or the-monsters-are-all-real angle they did with Zombie Island.

They could do a bit of both.
One Strip! One Strip! The monsters are real, but still man-made.
I don't think that has been done a lot in the franchise— at least I can't remember any single case off the top of my head.
The second live action movie did that.
I like the idea that there is something legitimately supernatural going on, but someone takes the opportunity to pull a more mundane crime. So the gang unmasks them and assumes that the supernatural thing isn't real.
But then, Witch's Ghost did that. Sort of.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The culprits are human, but they are using something supernatural, yet actually harmless, to erect a scam around the pretense of something dangerously supernatural. Like, they have bound a helpless spirit to pretend it's actually a murderous ghost, or something like that.
So I saw Scooby-Doo and KISS recently, and... it's surprisingly good. Love that KISS can take the piss out on themselves like that, and the plot is so ridiculous, it loops right back around to being awesome. Loved how much of a snarker Velma was throughout, as well.
...Like Zombie Island?
Really, most of the old Scooby Doo movies actually seem to do that, for the most part. There's always someone human/'real' involved, but then they actually utilize supernatural elements to their advantage.

I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Zombie Island was a bunch of evil supernatural monsters who are actually being haunted by a bunch of good supernatural monsters that existed as a byproduct of the evil monsters'... evil monstery... evil. The evil monstery culprits tolerate the haunting because it makes their job easier thanks to tourism.
The "mystery" is the gang mistaking the good supernatural monsters for a hoax, only to realize too late that they've stumbled into something that's not only real but much worse.
I don't think the series has done "evil human uses Sealed Good in a Can for evil purposes, pins blame on Sealed Good making it seem like it's an evil monster" yet, though Goblin King might count.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I was wondering if I should makes seasons 2-4 of Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo on a separate page. I mean, each season is listed on a different page on the main page, but I mean, the only difference is really who their packaged with, and the theme song is even the same and everything...So, I was just looking for some advice.
I wish people remembered the series' other themes songs as well as they do the Where Are You theme.
I'd love to hear an awesome remix or rearrangement of the Scooby Doo Show or New Scooby Doo Movies theme one of these days.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. At least The New Scooby-Doo Movies' theme got a bunch of remixes for the '80's series! The Scooby-Doo Show needs more love for sounding like the Wreck-It Ralph song, I always say.
Checked out the animated Scooby movie for this year, Shaggy's Showdown. It's pretty good.
Someone on their creative team clearly likes post-unmasking badass chase scenes. This one makes at least three since Abracadabra Doo.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Hey, what does everyone think of Scooby Apocalypse? I went from wary, then excited, then wary again, then slightly hopeful, then I bailed, then I gave it a second chance, then I had a minor crisis over a character design, but I think I'm beginning to warm up to it. Anyone else? It's trope page could use some love.
The newest Scooby Doo movie came out a few days ago. It's - surprise - a crossover with Batman The Brave and the Bold, explicitly in that universe with Continuity Nods and everything.
It's pretty good, as usual for the new style of dtv Scooby movies. Especially if you're a fan of BATB.
Favorite line:
- (The gang and Batman stumble into a Bad Guy Bar): Penguin: "Hippies have invaded our sacred sanctorum! And the Caped Crusader is at the wheel!"
Also, Aquaman asking Batman if he's lost another Robin.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That sounds pretty interesting. I always thought the Scooby-Doo Batman crossover comics were pretty fun and enjoyable, an I loved the Brave and the Bold. What other good DTV films have their been recently? Last one I watched was Scooby-Doo! Wrestle Mania Mystery, which I actually enjoyed unironically, but I haven't been keeping up wit them much since the mid 2000s.
Most of the yearly ones have been pretty good since they changed art and writing styles with Abracadabra Doo.
But if I were to put up a list of my favorites... Stage Fright, Scooby Doo & KISS, Frankencreepy and Moon Monster Madness are all pretty good.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The animation since Abracadabra Doo has been actually really good, especially for straight-to-video stuff. Most animated series don't get animation of that quality.
So... this flew by largely unnoticed.
It's a dtv movie.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I've seen people discuss it on other sites a little. It's certainly something at least.
It's kind of odd how it just popped up. It's DTV, so it's probably a different department or something, but we haven't heard a peep out of that big theatrical live action Scooby Doo movie they're supposedly cooking up so far.
Maybe they're hanging back on those plans.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.<3 nostalgia
I hated the regular series, but I liked the movies.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I know the first live action movies weren't very good but does anyone kind of wish future versions of Daphne were martial artists?
Not really. Being martial artists kind of gets in the way of the gang's "use our brains and lots of luck to take down the villain" theme.
Turning random characters in things into martial artists was a thing that happened a lot in the late 90's and early 2000's, and it's probably something that should've happened less.

A new theatrical Scooby-Doo movie is in the works. Don't worry, it's not live-action this time. They actually seem to have a lot of good people working on it.
