Animated Atrocities The Buzz on Maggie
Flies vomit stomach acid on their food in real life precisely because they don't have teeth and have no other way to break down what they eat. I point this out because Maggie and her friends are weirdly depicted with teeth in this show, thus there's zero reason for them to do this.
I'm glad he's covering shows from the early 2000's nowadays. It helps me remember "Oh yeah, this exists."
It's been 3000 years…I'm so used to seeing him review hated shows that it's weird seeing him review popular shows like Robotboy and The Buzz on Maggie. I'm not interested in seeing critiques on shows I like, so I haven't watched either video. The Buzz On Maggie one keeps on appearing on my recommendations though. All it makes me want to do is watch Buzz On Maggie.
The 2000s was a mixed bag though. Stuff like Johnny Test, Squirrelboy, and The Cramp Twins come from that era... Wow, i just realized many of these shows are nearing 20.

I used to watch it, but looking back in retrospective Maggie is more unlikable than I remember.
Enter just seen John K's "Cans Without Labels" and been making a series of posts about it. He's already writing an Animated Atrocity on the cartoon as we speak.
Animated Atrocities #162: "Cans Without Labels"
Technocracy - Episode 6 - Payment Processors
Watched his Cans Without Labels review. Man, it's been a long time since I watched anything made by him, but his editing has really improved. While I no longer consider myself a fan of what he does or anything like that, it's nice to see how much his videomaking skills have changed.
That said, I really don't have much to say about Cans Without Labels since I only became vaguely aware of its existence a few weeks ago. Though it does seem pretty shitty based on what I've heard.

"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"Why The Mysterious Mr. Enter won't review Kamp Koral.
Basically, it's a bad spinoff due to cutting off the versatility of Spongebob's character by making him a kid and it spits on Hillenburg's grave.

Yeah, this was another bad cartoon from the mid-2000s.
I can understand some people having fond memories of this show if this is what you grew up on, but, as you might have guessed, the numbers in my username represent my birth year. I was an adult when this show came out and I just found it obnoxious and unappealing.
Jake is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen in any cartoon. He's an asshole that continuously tortures his friend through his selfishness and stupidity and never receives any comeuppance for it. And, of course, there's all the weird jokes about his butt, which become so prevalent that it starts seeming less like jokes and more like some sort of odd fetish from someone on the writing staff.
I also didn't really care for the lumpy character designs, so this show lacked visual appeal for me as well.
I'm surprised this show lasted as long as it did, though I assume when he said 100 episodes he meant 50 half-hour shows consisting of two 11 minutes shorts.
Also glad he mentioned Bloo from "Fosters" as a Jake-like character. I hated him too and making him the main character probably held "Fosters" back from being as good as it could have been.
I like the premise of MGPAM, and the show did stuff with it... sometimes? Not enough but just, like, sometimes? But otherwise I don't remember the show much. I have memories of it, and they're not good or bad. Just... existent. Maybe I don't look down on the show too much because of Squirrel Boy coming out around the same time?
And yeah Bloo started off fine (he was still dickish and prankstery, but in a way that contrasted and played off Mac well) but as the show went on he gradually got flanderized into a bigger primadonna to where even Mac would go entire episodes rolling his eyes and shaking his head. I can kinda see how that happened, since he's the easiest character in the main cast to make cause problems and thus story premises, but...

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse Alberia> And, of course, there's all the weird jokes about his butt,
butts are funny to the age demographic, like just saying butts counts as funny, same with gross out humour
New theme music also a box^^ The problem is that Bloo wasn't the one suffering in a lot of the episodes where he screws things up, the other characters were. He did receive his comeuppance in a few episodes, but there were others where he just gets away with his mischief completely unscathed (i.e. the one where he goes on a "road trip"). Probably the worst episode of the series is that one where he throws a surprise party for Mac despite the latter clearly not wanting one. Both Bloo and Mac are incredibly out of character, with Bloo for some reason being depicted as a genius prankster despite being having an IQ of a toenail in pretty much every other episode. That one was just infuriatingly bad.
^ I get that, but MGPAM took it too far. I didn't even see the episode where Jake inflates his butt so that he has an ass that blocks out the sun as mentioned in the review. That one mercifully escaped my viewership. Maybe it's just my dirty adult mind being in the gutter, but that seems like something that shouldn't be in a kid's cartoon.
I did a google
It's actually acknowledged in universe too that the butt jokes are stupid
New theme music also a boxIt should be in a kid's cartoon...
It's literally never as dirty as the mind wants to assume.
The hair doesn't help.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.> I get that, but MGPAM took it too far. I didn't even see the episode where Jake inflates his butt so that he has an ass that blocks out the sun as mentioned in the review.
I haven't either and I'm searching for it,could be..lying?
New theme music also a boxAccording to the Radar page for My Gym Partner's a Monkey the episode was banned (it's call The Butt Of The Jake)
...Oh my god, I remember seeing that episode.
While I usually don't mind this type of show, I will definitely not defend the lewd idiocy of Jake Spidermonkey.
It's been 3000 years…So do I.

I can also say that when I took the quiz, I was pretty much as centrist as you could get on either axes.
