Patton really hit his stride once he got used to the one-take-and-you're-done, fire-and-forget approach the show takes. His delivery is great.
Jonah said from the start that he's not leaving until he does 100 episodes, so. Expect him to still be around in 2035, at this rate.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

Personally my favorite parts have always been the sketches. If I'm going to enjoy the riffs it's probably because I'm already going to enjoy the movie.
I couldn't tell you anything about the riffs in Star Crash, but I was thinking about the movie for weeks.

I'd say the draw is equal parts sketch and riff for me. I'd never watch most of the movies they cover, but it becomes something else for me in this context, and the sketches are part of that. Heck, without them we'd never have the Gamera song or "We're the government. We're the government. We're the reason nothing works".

IIRC she was named after the mineral Gypsum, which, in-universe, was used to build her, not the slur, thus it was just an unfortunate coincidence, so I wonder why they didn't change her name to that.

Her original name in the KTMA seasons alternated between Gypsy and Gypsum. (Edit: Was she made from gypsum in the show? It's possible, Crow's been made of molybdenum, kevlar, and... I forget what in the new series, something else.) But behind the scenes, she was supposedly named after a turtle Joel's brother had, so the story goes. Though whether the turtle was named Gypsy or Gypsum, I don't know.
I'm guessing Joel just didn't like Gypsum as the name, for whatever reason. And while the actual mineral wasn't named after gypsies (the Greek gypsos means plaster, gypsum is used in plaster including drywall to this day), the connotation is still there — the old off-colour jokes Joel probably grew up with, about being gypped and so on (gypsum board and gyprock were regional names for drywall in some parts of the US and elsewhere).

Gypsy was named after Joel's brother's pet turtle, so I'm pretty sure gypsum is backfilling lore to fit the existing name.

I think back when they had the Lockdown livestream I mentioned here that once I realized who they were talking to when they addressed GPC, I was surprised that they actually did it. I knew why, from hanging out with Wack'd and others who spread awareness about the slur, but I didn't think they'd actually do it.

They passed the $4.4M milestone, so we're getting at least 9 episodes. There are a little less than three days to go to reach $5.5M.
