The last episode I watched was the Anne Hathaway one, and she sold those one-liners like a champ.
She and Eric Forte are like the gimps of stale comedy.
I'm a skeptical squirrelNo, you discuss SNL.
Been a while since I've watched it. Because it's a Long Runner, I think it runs on a lot of They Changed It, Now It Sucks! for anyone. I think quality dropped quite a bit since I watched it in the mid-90s but I'm not about to declare that period the show's Golden Age. I'm sure plenty of older fans think that period sucked as well.
I do love the original seasons though. Just introduced my friends to Samurai Futaba.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984My sister and I love it for what it is. In fact, my sister laughs even harder than I do.
I thought last night's episode with John Goodman rocked. The 1st annual holiday pageant skit with the Inner Monologue and the three wise guys skit (with Robert De Niro and Slyvester Stallone) were hilarious.

Does anyone know where I could watch the old Bobbi and Marty Mohan Culp skits? I know that one is available on the Best of Will Ferrell and on Netflix, and the other one is a recent reboot that NBC has allowed to stream. But what about the other ones? Is there a story behind their loss? Does anyone have a (legal) stream of them? Thx.
Did anyone see the one with Drake on the 18th? He really surprised me with how good he was. He nailed the Katt Williams impression.
Hey, does anyone feel annoyed about that series of sketches that has the host playing a speaker in a classroom and Kate Mc Kinnon or someone else plays this dumb girl named Shelly or something who gets convinced that doing bad things is good?

Most series annoy me. The more formulaic, the more annoying. I skip most What Up With That sketches, and I skipped Gilly all the time.
I don't recall a series where somebody gets convinced bad things are good though.
Fresh-eyed movie blogBill Hader is returning to host the third episode of SNL's fortieth season! YEAH!
How dare you skip the glory that was What Up With That.
Oooh, yeah, What Up With That, What Up With That.... Now it's stuck in your head!
Whoa, was that Mike Myers as Dr. Evil just now?

So, who's excited for the three hour live special on February 15th? I really hope that SNL goes all out for this.
3 hours?!
Oh geez, I hope I don't get myself neck-deep in work by then!
Me too. For me, it's on a school night.
For some reason VH 1 is reruning a ton of the early episodes from the 90s.
I typically dislike the show. Specifically the modern ones. I don't know why, but I've watched 2 episodes in a row and have laughed. Guess the older episodes are good.

Supports cartoons being cartoony! They're marathoning everything because of the fortieth anniversary, premiering in six days.
The very first episode—host George Carlin, musical guests Billy Preston and Janis Ian, October 11, 1975—will air in its entirety in the show's regular time spot tomorrow. Andy Kaufman also appears.
I am in heaven. This is my Super Bowl.
I like the skit that makes fun of those "White person in an African village" charity commercials with Bill Hader as the aforementioned white man. I especially like when the villagers ask the guy if even knows what country he is in and he can only reply "Africa?"
Also, the 40th reunion was cute. I guessing Lorne called in a LOT of favors to get all those guest stars. That or some of them really wanted to be a part of the celebration.
Bump.
I really don't get what's up with Aidy Bryant's character in this sketch:
I don't watch the kind of show they're satirizing here, so is her character parodying some aspect I don't know about?

Tracy Morgan's hosting.
30 Rock cast reunion! Woooooo!

Bump again.
Wait, Donald Trump is hosting on November 7?!
Um, isn't he, you know, attempting to run for President?
And musical guest Sia? 10 bucks says Maddie Ziegler will be there too.
