RWBY Fanfiction Thread

Well, as much as I hated Volume 6, I don't think I hate them that much to wanting to see that. XP

Random thought:

Due to having what is essentially superhuman training high school (sure, age range is more appropriate for a college, but come on everybody treats it like high school anyway), it attracts a lot of crossovers, particularly with shonen action series.

Also, because of the whole monster hunting scene, if there is a sufficiently big series involving hunting any kind of monsters, you bet it will have crossover with RWBY, like DMC, Souls series, etc. XD

I don't think so, but then again I avoid Ron the Death Eater fics. I've tried looking for Ruby or Yang death fics beforehand, but because I want the angst potential for the remaining sister.

The talk in the main thread makes me want to read a story where Adam gets an epic final battle against Team RWBY.

I believe that's where one of my stories is heading towards, but with my level of laziness it will be, like four years before I get to actually finish it.

I can't really think of any story that does that properly. In From Beyond Adam does get to fight the entirety of team RWBY, but it's not really about him getting personal with each of the girls. Team RWBY are just some of the people who keep throwing everything they have at him and wonder how the heck he's still alive.

Man, do I love a good You and What Army? scene. For that and Jaune getting his Atlas admy gear back on, I love this chapter.

I just find it funny that, despite having strangled his daughter, broken her wrist and intentionally tried to give her dental issues, Jaune is still a better father than most parents portrayed in RWBY. It really makes you admire how shitty some of those parents are.

Also, since Adam and Winter now happily engage in bondage, the chances of seeing Jaune/Raven/Winter/Adam orgy have significantly increased.

Taiyang seems like a solid father, Summer seemed to be fine, Ghira and Kali are fine, and I'd argue that Raven's abandonment is better than physical abuse (still bad but the lesser of two evils, especially since she left Yang in good hands). There's only one supremely shitty parent that I can think of in RWBY and while Weiss' mother isn't great, her position is very understandable.

Chapter 23 of Remnant Inferis: DOOM is enroaching and I can't wait to see, saw Gamer Jay's bio and he's editing/finishing the boss fight at the end...

With all new DOOM Eternal stuff, it threw him through the loop but luckily he doesn't have to alter too much.

Gods of Remnant and now Seraphim and this Kahn Makyr...

Every new chapter makes me excited and waiting 1-2 months is worth it! It helps he doesn't rush or upload too often.

I'm enjoying SAPR so far, so there's that.

So I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but on Sufficient Velocity, there is a story by Shadenight 123 known as A Heart of Ice and Coffee where in that universe, The Schnee family have another son/brother that affects canon from the divergence of Weiss' birthday. The premise being that the son, whose name is Wren Schnee, sides with his father and things go from there.

While that story was completed, two more sprung from its place, both being A Us of the original story. The first being The Other Path, which is a story where he doesn't side with his father. The 2nd AU is A Series Of Unfortunate Circumstances, where he forced to side with the antagonists. In other words...the Yandere-Waifu edition.

Oh yeah had fun reading ch 23 of Remnant Inferis DOOM. Ruby's getting more ferocious and like Slayer himself and all the girls have become so desensitized it's unnerving and worrying. There's an epic boss fight with Master of Erebus, who I suspect is based on original concept of Hell Guard. They're closer to getting out of Hell! And Jacques thinks he found a way to enter Heaven... oh and Yang continues being funny enough to make the freakin' demon lord's left eye involuntary twitch in bewilderment lol. Like she told him he has huge guts and others telling her "don't". Forgot to mention but Ruby activates her silver glowing eyes superpowers far earlier than in canon

While I don't agree with every point, I do agree that the worldbuilding is really shoddy and I absolutely love the new suggested origin of the Faunus. I will get into details later.

Maaaan. At this point I'm wondering who can even stand in his way. Salem would have to pull off Helmut Zemo and break the heroes from the inside or something.

According to the full version of "One Thing", Neo had a Meaningful Rename in the past and has a Dark and Troubled Past. Rebound was surprisingly accurate for an Alternate Universe Fic then. Everyone writes Neo as having a tragic backstory but I've never seen another fic have her name as anything but "Neo".

Kind of a vague question, but did you ever feel that you could write a story centered around only one of RWBY's characters or subplots? Like a story that is only about Weiss trying to redeem her family name, or one that is only about Pyrrha attempting to find somebody to connect to? Sometimes I feel like RWBY's biggest problem is a lack of a strong protagonist whom the narrative could explore and develop freely.

I've read plenty of character-focused fics. They're not uncommon. Heck, I think most writers ignore the overarching maidens plot of the show.

RWBY's biggest flaw is that it has absolutely no focus. They keep introducing new characters, new plot elements, new lore that's only tangentially connected to everything else. If you cut out, like, half the cast, left JNPR as supporting characters rather than kinda sorta main, and removed the Relic nonsense that doesn't really add anything to the show; you might have a decent story on your hands.

Of course, it has a bunch of problems outside of that but that right there would be a very big step in the right direction.

Volume 6 was a small step in the right direction with them remembering that Ruby's supposed to be the protagonist and JNR kinda just existing but it has its own problems.

I will say though, Adam's scars can be used an excuse for his crimes. It's not a sufficient excuse, but it's still valid. "I want to kill the SDC workers because their company enslaved and tortured me" is somewhat better than "I want to kill the SDC workers for the lulz".

Oh man, do I feel sorry for Oscar. He's a hormonal boy constantly surrounded by (in his mind) really hot girls, but because of Ozpin he can't even have a little alone time.

Fixing RWBY has finished the rewrite of Volume 3.

I was wondering: what are your own headcanon of the shows?.

I got the idea that Adam is from atlas and that subconsiusly his colors are in fact a inversion of Atlas: red and black from blue and white.

Do "things I tend to assume when I write fanfics" count as headcanons? Because I have quite a lot of those.
