With a side helping of Unclear Description.

A trope for when a character explodes on somebody who really doesn't deserve it thanks to a Rant Inducing Slight. However, the character they just bitched out is completely understanding about it, and is willing to act as the first character's rage room.
So far so good. This works.

Then we have a part where the second character, after the first character has calmed down, asks, "are you done yet?"
This is where the definition becomes problematic. It heads off in a bit of a different direction. It becomes specifically about the phrase, "are you done yet?" or an equivalent, used in that specific context. Which is fine in and of itself, if a bit limiting. Might be hard to think of examples for that off the top of your head, but ok.

The problem is this: NONE of the examples fit this description.

  • We have one from Fullmetal Alchemist where one nigh-immortal character says this to someone who's spent the last thirty seconds shooting her and is now out of ammunition. It's used in a sort of mocking, bored way, kind of like an inverse of Punch! Punch! Punch! Uh Oh...: instead of one person going nuts on another, only to go Oh, Crap! when they realize they aren't accomplishing anything, it's one person getting wailed on, then mockingly telling the attacker that their efforts weren't really good enough.
  • Some of the examples are used for comedic effect (this one guy is counting how many "greats" he should put before the word "Aunt" (as in "great-aunt") before some guy asks if he's done), some are horrifying (a man, after being horribly tortured and doused in gasoline, begins pleading for his life, only for his captor to pull out a lighter and ask if he's finished talking).
  • Some of the examples don't even have the line, or a derivative/equivalent, giving them nothing in common with the description. Like the Rocky example, where it's used as a tactic (I'll wait for him to exhaust himself beating the tar out of me, then I'll pummel him), but with nothing actually being said.

The trope needs some serious redefining, and depending on that, the name may need to be changed. As it is, it's getting too many potholes, used mostly in the vein of the Fullmetal Alchemist example, not as the trope is described.

The idea I was thinking of was have something like a split: We have a trope for the inverse of Punch! Punch! Punch! Uh Oh... as described in the Fullmetal Alchemist example (spoken phrase optional), called Are You Done Yet, cause that's what most of the potholes are used for, and I'm sure we'd have more than enough examples. Then, if we can find enough examples for the trope as already described or maybe just the first part of the description, we have a separate trope for that.
Or we could just have one trope for the phrase, possibly derivatives/equivalents, and all the many ways it can be used.

What we're looking at is a Stock Phrase with no functional trope description. I don't see anything on the page that's worth keeping, and its inbounds are negligible. We can just cut it.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Fixed the tag.

While I can see a trope about snapping after prolonged interference by other characters, this page has nothing to offer. Cut it.

Great. Problem solved, right? Or do we need a crowner?

I think a crowner is needed.

Alright, could one of you handle that? I'm not sure how.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is my first time doing this, didn't know if I should link the crowner while waiting for you to respond to my request for a hook. Sorry.

It's 13-0 in favour of cutting the page. I think we have enough consensus?

I can wait for 15.

Did this even go through YTKKW? Doesn't look like it.

It's been two weeks and it's still unanimous. I think we can call it.

And it has fifteen votes now. No problems, then?
