This thread kind of makes me not want to watch the show. I'll see whether it draws me in next time I see a new episode.
Check out my fanfiction!
It's just good to readjust expectations, that's all. The first episode is a huge bait-and-switch in that regard.
That link was...divine.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Seconded. I need more Yuri Is Serious Business comic strips.
Episode 2. In which contrasts are discussed.
This is the third second episode this season I found to be significantly better than the first. I don't actually care about the yuri, though. I don't like it when it seems to take over everything else (much like I felt about yaoi in another series).
"Huggy is cheating on me!" That kind of sold the episode for me. She's a ditz, sure, but that just...
That fan was a nice touch. And very quickly used.
But you know, she really is onto something with that thinking about contrast. Tsundere is a popular one (and the other variants), and many characters are popular for breaking a stereotype with some sort of contrast, often creating a new stereotype in the process (Anti-Hero, Gentle Giant, etc.). Zettai Ryouiki is also about contrast, as is the whole less-is-more line of thinking (the less that's shown, the more the contrast against what isn't). Many charm points are about breaking the normal character, like how Beauty Marks breaks the perfect beauty without actually diminishing the individual's beauty. I have a friend who wrote an essay on it.

Check out my fanfiction! There's some pretty good facial expressions in this show.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntThat's what gap moe is all about~~
The fan was my favorite joke.
Saw the first episode, this is GLORIOUS. Waiting for episode 2 to finish torrenting. Can't wait...
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueI'm pretty sure she was referring to that concept directly.
Episode 3. In which there is much blood.
I think this is the first time I've seen a tsundere use that as justification for her temper... Most tsunderes tend to completely reject they are. Or be tsundere about it, at most.
I must say, I expected that little paper-switching stunt to completely backfire on her. I mean, sure, she did get the blame for it as I expected, but then they turned it around so she didn't have to suffer. Good for the little Butt-Monkey.
Speaking of that, it's really not fair to pair a Butt-Monkey with a Troll. It just seems mean and over the top. Also hilarious, but that's another thing.
Check out my fanfiction!I applaud Sayo for the suggestion box alibi.
What the hell does "Your daddy is lingerie" even mean?
It really is unfair for Eno to be paired up with Sayo. But hey, I'm not complaining!
The animation really is darn good, it helps a lot with comedy.
Episode 4. In which much digging is done. Like usual.
It's rather funny when they all look expectantly at her with those starry eyes and shinies, and then we see Sayo doing a good impression of the same.
I'm with the two love freaks. Long hair is better.
I also agree with Sayo. That's a catchy song.
"I asked my boyfriend." Dropping the Bombshell like the true troll she is.
Check out my fanfiction!"A certain actress said my body is made of wine, but right now my body's made of lingerie."*
For me I prefer girls with around the same hair length as Riko.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueYour avatar disagrees with you. Clearly you're lying.
Check out my fanfiction!Well, I'm kinda lazy, and it's kinda probably hard to find a picture of Homura with short hair tied in a ponytail...
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueI had to chuckle at the unseen long-distance relationship. Also at the implication that the guy is still getting the short end of the stick even then.
x5
The lyrics are embarrassing as all hell though...I can see why Maki's so...traumatised.
Not sure I want to continue watching this. The show's really embarassing to watch and at this rate Riko's gonna crash and burn reaaaaaaaaaal soon.

Mete mozamete mo lingerie~
Yeah, I get what you mean. Especially the previous episode when the meeting started and the students found the love lessons thing, that made me cringe so much I paused right there and took a break for an hour or so just cuz it's so damn cringeworthy.

"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueAlso the reason why I just can't watch watamote. I tend to feel embarrassed when something embarrassing happens to others.
Well, I'll probably give this another episode or so. I wanna see the student council storm the broadcasting room.
That lingerie song. Holy crap. Laughing for minutes at end.
I love love love the troll. "I asked my boyfriend." BAM! Said boyfriend could be Suzu's older brother.
The comedy is still spot on. Huh, now that I think about it, this might be the best comedy of the season. (Watamote's kinda... not funny per se.)
Episode 5. In which there is revenge.
"The weather is nice today." Good and not at all obvious change of topic.
Momo and Nana Hmm...
I have a few other thoughts, but none I want to write down.

Check out my fanfiction! So next episode have guy in...
That explain unusualy high amount of Yuri undertones in this episode I guess.
Episode 6, in which there are boys.
And wannabee paparazzis.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntThat was funny
Lol this one seems to be most controversial show of this season
Very big deal◊
