Did I just waste all my phoenix credits on Historian?
Because it's kinda eh. When it comes to sniper rifles, to me, DPS means Damage Per Shot, and the Historian seems kinda weak in that department, even with the rather cool special talent.
Should I stick with it, or scrap it and start farming PC all over again? (Are HV Ts easy to solo? Looks like a lot of credits to be had there, but the "time limit" thing concerns me. I don't like to rush.)
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117HVTs are easy to solo provided your gear is relatively maxed out. HRTs are not.
The Historian is kinda crap. Honestly all the exotic weapons are kinda eh.
And there's no time limit but if you die you gotta go rebuy your chance to get them. It'll be free but you still gotta go see the HVT guy. They'll also change location.

Oh really when?So I just got my 3rd exotic weapon of my Division career. (First was Historian, second was Showstopper. Generally don't like shotguns, but this one's fun.)
My 3rd? A gold UZI called "Midas".
......am I reading the perk wrong, or is this the dumbest weapon in videogame history?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117What were you expecting, the hideously broken incarnation from launch?
In all seriousness, I think it only works if you have someone else backing you up, since that kind of is the point of debuffing the enemy with your weapon.
EDIT: Also, this is still pretty far removed from what was in Daikatana in terms of uselessness.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotSo I WAS reading it wrong. I thought it was making me weaker and my target stronger. Also, my Midas has this "you're healed when you do crit damage" perk, which is real helpful.
And I just got a tommy gun from the weekly. The stability is horrid, but pretending to be a gangster from the 20s is a blast.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Update 1.6.1 Monday! We can haz loadouts!
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Update 1.8 has been announced. Apparently Red Storm Entertainment led development on this update, no idea if this will continue.
The area around the infamous USS Intrepid OOB area is being added to the game at long last. There will be more random events in said area, along with the various factions in there teaming up against The Division.
The USS Intrepid will be available in the Resistance PvE horde mode.
Also, there's a 4v4 PvP mode coming as well.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Because who doesn't love NECROMANCY.
Decided to finally plunge into Right Wing Gun Fantasy Simulator - problematic theming aside and limited government oversight / government overreach, this is a solid game now!
They seem to have found a good balance on bullet sponginess, loot dropping, exploration, and activities. Plugging through the plot and haven't dared go near the Dark Zone yet. Still mainly Greens and Blues, but enjoying it. Missions do seem to be wave based, but I'm enjoying the environmental fluff.
Need to team up with bods at some point. Any tropers still playing? Or has everyone fully migrated to Destiny 2 / Warframe?
The bullet sponginess really starts once you hit the endgame but recent updates have improved it. Somewhat.
Oh really when?I'm seeing it with a few enemies; also been watching some videos on builds and can see the higher levels players just lawnmowering their way through enemies. Even Elites. Think it's very min max builds at times.
Now my brain is just going over the Senate reviews and hearings that would happen once the crisis had resolved. THOSE would be fascinating. Plus the criminal cases, arrests and re-establishment of law and order in NY.
Hell, could you even re-establish NY or just write the place off? The whole city is FUBAR.
So, NECRO time (And a double post. Sorry guys)
Couldn't find a Division 2 thread. Just to say there's the free beta weekend.
Anthem may be in trouble if this is any good. Anyone considering it? Seems they MAY be taking steps to combat the sinister underlying element of "Sleeper agents to preserve democracy by carte blance executing starving civilians"
Mainly by apparently introducing an ARMY OF EVIL apparently "designed" to take down the Division itself.
Thoughts?
I got into the closed beta and was extremely pleased with all the changes from the first one.
I'm gonna try the open one on PC and then make a decision about whether to buy it or not.
Oh really when?Never finished all the DLC for the first one, or got too heavily into the DZ as didn't really have many to play with.
Enjoyed D1, actually found the story and collectibles a fun little challenge.
Will definitely give the beta a go, see how it goes then.
I didn't get into the private beta, so I'm very much looking forwards to the open beta. I was reading about the endgame content, and I've heard that it's actually quite challenging: that four-man teams were struggling to beat it. Some people managed to solo it, but remarked that players are disadvantaged by a loadout they didn't tune themselves, so once the game releases in full, the endgame could be very enjoyable.
The only resource you need for tropesThe endgame mission was tons of fun. Apart from a few issues that they seemed to have changed from the closed beta.
Oh really when?So in Div 2 - are you the same agent? Do they explain your sudden power loss between games?
Also, Crossbow as a main weapon? SERIOUSLY? most impractical weapon surely?
The crossbow is a Signature Weapon. Those pretty much replaced the signature skills from the last game.
I'm also fairly sure you aren't the same agent from the last game.
Oh really when?Having tried the beta, I personally prefer the marksman setup: getting headshots improves the odds of signature weapon ammo dropping for the weapon. I ran out of time after, and didn't try out the other signature weapons, but doing some looking around, it turns out that the grenade launcher can one-shot even named bosses.
I'm actually a little envious of the guy I'm linking to, for having found TWO purples during their run through, and some have found even more than that. I only ended up with three blue items during the five hours I spent.
The only resource you need for tropesYeah read that it's a new character, though any feats from the first game lead to rewards in the second. I may need to replay and redo some D1 stuff. I did enjoy building out the main hub and impacting the city a little bit. Haven't finished the harbour as MAN it was tougher than expected.Still have some drones and mobile phones to find....
And signature weapons makes sense.
The beta was fun. There were a few bugs here with movement, but it was otherwise smooth. Two purples, you say? That blogger has some decent luck. I didn't get any, and I'm curious to see if anyone here did now.
Being cleverer than you look is better than looking cleverer than you are.I want to know who the Evil Division are. And if they're connected to The Hunters...
All I want is Aaron Keener's head.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I’m bumping this so yes, add it to a drinking game if I start Lampshade Hanging on the fact I am bumping a thread because of the irksome fact there is a forum rule enforcing it.
So I started playing The Division 2 lately, and have come across quite a few Demonic Spiders already. Two of which are heavies and tanks. Both of them have heavy armor. Both of them are king mooks. One just never needs to reload, while the other is capable of Grenade Spam.
And in true division fashion, every enemy with a special ability is this.
If it did not have such a ridiculously long cooldown, I would use robot bees more often.

Wait a second: How on earth did I even get here?
Unfortunately no, it's just a marker telling you go explore the new sections of the Dark Zone they added.
Oh really when?
