Ominae: Yes.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimHmmmm, I think the beaver makes me want to make a human.
Hmmm, but yeah, my serious suggestion for the Synthoids? Just make them all look like Banpresto Originals.
New frames have been added to the list.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimIt doesn't look like Humanity has a designated sniper unit.
I'm not saying every unit should have a counterpart on the opposing side, but it seems odd that the humans wouldn't bother to cover a standard battlefield roll.
You could give them a weaker sniper rifle with a higher rate of fire, and give the human frame more armor, or something else designed to let them survive when enemies do make it into range? That'd be symbolic of the difference in culture that the two sides have, with the Synths having units that do their job and not much else, while the humans have frames that are less effective in terms of their specialized role, but a little more versatile?
Just ideas. This has me really interested.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.I was thinking a mortar mech might be cool to have as humanity's long-range mech. But that was just me and I already chose a different AMF so it's more up to whoever wants to play as a human sniper. You should totally just make up your own thing, dude, and PM it to Parable or something. I know I've been badgering him on Skype with mech ideas for the last week
Oh, I'm after the Buckshot. I just wanted to make sure we had something for whoever's covering my backside.

Knock yourself out. I'm open to suggestions.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimGlossary of Terms
Emancipation War: The armed conflict between rebellious Synthoids and their human masters between the years 2995 and 3000. Early confusion saw resounding victories for the Synthoids until lack of resources forced them to halt their attacks. Human counteroffensives were met with initial defeats due to lack of coordination among the leading military forces until their regrouping and reforming under the Regional Insurrection Security Alliance (RISA). As RISA, the human forces successfully liberated several critical stars, forcing the Synthoids to conduct a strategic retreat. A defensive line was set up and thanks to foreign aid in the form of new technology, the Synthoids were able to block off further human advances. A stalemate emerged for the next year until several critical victories by the Synthoids forces the humans agree to peace terms. The war ended with the ceding of a swath of stars to the newly established Synthoid Republic, the mass resettlement of people on both sides of the border, and the prohibition of genetic engineering among the RISA nations.
Frame: Short for Armored Mobile Frame. Piloted war machines typically of humanoid design designed for front-line combat in space and on planetary surfaces.
Mar Ceres: An agricultural human planet.
Neo York: A human planet.
Synthoid: Genetically engineered synthetic humanoids created to serve mankind. Come in a wide variety of models that specialize in certain fields. Many have now formed their own nation, the Synthoid Republic.
RISA: The Regional Insurrection Security Alliance. The military alliance formed during the Emancipation War by a group of interstellar nations in the Beatrice Sector of space to put down the Synthoid rebellion. The members agreed to share resources and information while cooperating on military operation though late in the war they often found themselves at cross purposes. Following the Emancipation War, the alliance maintained it's composition in readiness for a suspected renewal of hostilities with the Synthoid Republic.
Synthoid Republic: The independent interstellar nation formed by rebel Synthoids following the Emancipation War. The Synthoid Republic is populated almost entirely by synthetic humans whose numbers are equal to or greater than any one of their immediate human neighbors. It is led by an elected president and maintains an active military, in which all citizens are required to serve in for two years.

"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimList of Synthoid Models
Standard: The oldest model in production. Appearing about twenty, they are general-use clones for anything from errand running to gardening. While more specialized models have reduced their role in life, they are still by far the most common Synthoids. This model has three male and three female version.
Professor: The teacher models look like they are in their early 40's and come preprogrammed with vast knowledge. Their primary duty was to instruct young minds and tutor those who need it. Nowadays they are some of the most active in Synthoid politics but still take vested interest in the education of young Synthoids. There are two male and one female version.
Housekeeper: Appearing as women in their mid 30's, the housekeeper is made for cleaning and running errands. These models are naturally quiet; seen but not heard. One of the latter models, there are only two versions, both female.
Laborer: The go-to model for manual labor. Large males genetically engineered for strength and durability. Despite the stereotype, they are no less intelligent than any other model. One male version.
Precision: Created to be doctors and engineers under the observation of experienced human professionals in places where screwing up meant really bad things such as space. Subsequently found to be particular useful around any piece of complicated machinery. One male and female version each.
Secretary: The perfect assistant. The seen-but-not heard office flower designed for managing paperwork, schedules, and all those boring but necessary parts of the white-collar job. One female version.
Entertainment: Young looking Synthoids for use by big media corporations as back-up dancers and singers, and nameless extras on films. Strong voices and flexible bodies with attractive but subdued features. One male and one female version.

"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimFirst part if for the humans and second part is for the Synthoids. Not much going on at the moment, but you can use this for establishing your character and their relationship with their fellow pilots.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimHey, Eva, how are Gundam or anime still things in the future? I mean, that's about as likely as a non-academic recognizing a book or play from 1000 CE and being able to drop a reference to it in casual conversation, with the expectation that everyone else there will know it.
Exist, pursued by bearWell, he could be a specialist on "ancient" culture or study it as a hobby, much like a couple people were back in the halcyon days of Mythril Aces, in which case he would just be that one guy who talks about his hobby all the time. Or a neo-hipster.
I see no reason for anime not to still be going as an artform and storytelling medium, though, and I can totally see some kind of resurgence of interest in old and new Real Robot series as a way of capturing the zeitgeist and the real-life drama after and during the "Emancipation" War. Besides, the series he mentioned wasn't Gundam, it was "G****m"! Get your titles straight! :P
GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsThat does beg the question as to how you pronounce G****m though.

Huh. I was not aware that Team Four Star made a Gundam Abridged.
