[Tragedy in the juniors.

It's such a sin to see so many young people go.

We have now entered the Twilight Zone.

The Capitals are in the Conference Finals.

Washington vs. Tampa Bay, Winnipeg vs. Vegas. This is gonna be interesting.

I am still salty about Vegas

So.

The Vegas Golden Knights versus the Washington Capitals.

Two teams seeking their franchise's first Stanley Cup. One against 500-1 preseason using other teams' spare parts and cap casualties to do what no other expansion team had ever done (and the Blues just happened to be the one out of all the '67 teams to get that guaranteed Cup Final spot), and being pretty dang impressive in the process. The other after having spent most of their 43 years either as league laughingstocks (hard to beat holding the worst single season record in NHL history) or perennial playoff putter-outs before downing their dementors en route (no choking this time against Tortorella and a 2-0 series deficit, finally getting one past Crosby and the Pens in Round 2, stay cool and conquer Rangers South when down 3-2); all they need to do is get one more geist in their old GM and old Penguin pipe protector Fluery.

Might be heretical as a Rangers fan, but I'm rooting for the Caps here.

This Final will determine the tone of the direct to video movie the Knights are getting.

Anaheim already has claim to one of them, though.

if by spare parts, you mean every team's second liners and a two time stanley cup goalie, then ya, i agree with that description of the knights

Yeah I don't exactly understand that myself.

They've got Fleury, who won the cup last year, and a bunch of solid 2nd liners.

Anyways here's hoping they pull it off and upset Ovie XD

The last time I heard that much metal in a night, I was doing a Guitar Hero marathon.

I hope the Knights don't choke now :/

I mean, maybe the Bittersweet Ending will help sell the movie?

Seriously, can't see the Knights managing 3 in a row against the Capitals.

Honestly I'm not too salty, Ovie kind of deserves it.

As the new season approaches, the Flyers have introduced a new mascot. Get to know Gritty! Or as people on my Facebook feed call him, the Nightmare on Broad Street, the love child of Animal and Grimace, Jake Voracek before he's had a Snickers...

Depending on whether his Pratfalls were all part of the show or "All Part of the Show", he's either really awesome are really pathetic. I'm still not quite sure which...

...That is not what a bully is. Having a dad for a bully seems a lot more like an Abusive Parents situation.

I'm assuming that's a reference to the "Broad Street Bullies", as the Flyers were known to fans in the 70's.

You know, even though I'm a Rangers fan I'm not upset that the Islanders are doing this well.

The Fishsticks have finally graduated from school.

The Final is set. The Bruins of Boston and the Blues by the river battle.

I usually back the team that's gone longer without a championship if I don't already have a horse in the race. In light of that, let's play "Gloria".

As a sharks fan, now that I’m less salty over the blues injuring literally a third of our roster, I’m fine with them winning the cup. Boston doesn’t need anymore championships, and if the blues have a cup they no longer have the high ground against us other no cup teams. Also hoping for a sweep for the memes

I will not actively cheer for them, though, and given that they are doing the sharks’ 2016 strategy of crushing physical play but sloppy everything else, I unfortunately think they end up handled by the bruins.

This has been a hella awesome series so far. These last three games are gonna be great (I hope).

The Blues have some former Flyers on and behind the bench, so I'm slightly rooting for them, but not as much as I would be if the actual Flyers were in it.

Whoo...trade deadline a little over a week away. Talk and rumors here centered around Kreider, Georgiev, maybe Fast or DeAngelo.

EDIT: ...or Kreider can be extended another seven years. That works too.
