"Tenno Heika banzai?" I'd imagine it's kind of a pastiche of IJA tactics. Also, bad tactics in bad tanks go badly.
Should've checked the list. Then how the heck did their school-ship manage to stay afloat financially? I thought the tankery clubs were central to the prestige and financial status of their respective schools, as exemplified by the St. Gloriana school-ship dwarfing the Ooarai school-ship in size, which nicely reflects the former's tankery club being quite successful, and the latter's own club having been disbanded many years ago (persumably due to lackluster performance; must've been pretty lousy to do so horribly despite the interesting selection of tanks the new Ooarai club salvaged).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. Now that I couldn't tell you. Wealthy backers could help keep their school afl—nope, can't do it. But yeah, it's also worth mentioning that we haven't seen their ship. Might be a pretty ring-ding affair for all we know.
Should've checked the list.I think you need to go back here about the history of Chihatan Academy.

It appears there was a slightly longer preview included with another version of the Anzio OVA, and it's in 720p!

The only resource you need for tropesMore info on the Girls und Panzer movie DVD/BD release:
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."That's old news (see the link above).
The original link already covered everything, but since the commercial's new, so I'll give it that.

The only resource you need for tropesWell, the link I provided does list the features that will be present in the DVD/BD release and a 16-second video commercial. (Hence, "More Info"...as in, "addition to old news"?)

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."I'm not seeing excitement about the movie's release date (and all of the cool bonuses) from some of the Girls und Panzer regulars around these parts

The only resource you need for tropesOh, I'm definitely excited. I just need to get around to clearing my backlog of GuP manga reading before that day comes.
Of course I'm excited. But at the moment, I'm mostly on "silent waiting" mode mainly because:
- It will be a while before the fansubsnote come out.
- It will take a longer while for the official release to come out, and since the movie uses "Katyusha" (the song), I have a feeling Sentai will replace it again with "Korobeiniki"—and I'm not sure that it'll fit the scene shown in the first eight minutes of the movie. (Although TBH, it would be awesome if Sentai would be allowed to use "Katyusha" as an Author's Saving Throw.)
Anyway, a couple of questions for those who've read the side materials:
- Does the T-70 qualify for Sensha-do use?
- Is there anything in the side materials/manga that mention that Pravda uses the T-70 (in a training capacity, at least)?
It's a little more than two months, and time flies regardless. I imagine that with the amount of anticipation surrounding this one, the folks doing the subs will be at the top of their game. Last time, with Eiga K-On!, the subs came out two days after the Japanese home release. So, if we're lucky, there could be a similarly speedy release
The only resource you need for tropesTo answer your questions:
1. Yes, if you base it on the senshado rules. Though winning in a senshado match against much powerful tanks is another matter.
The only vehicles allowed to participate are the following:
- Vehicles whose designs were completed before August 15. 1945.
- Vehicles that had begun prototype trials by the aforementioned date.
- Vehicles whose construction was planned using only materials available before the aforementioned date.
- Vehicles which meet these requirements must be confirmed to be constructed using materials that were available at that time.
- For vehicles that never advanced from the planning stage. the League will decide on their eligibility on a case—by—case basis.
- However, in the event that there is difficulty supplying the appropriate parts. the League may determine the allowable extent of reproduction and modifications.
2. Yes based on raws of upcoming chapters of Ribbon Warrior.

Girls und Panzer der Film grossed ¥1,598,142,934 from 1,000,794 tickets sold at the Japan Box Office as of March 15, 2016.

So how much is that in USD? (Based on current exchange rates.) I'd really like to know if that was enough to recoup production costs many times over.
Anyway...
So based on that, these vehicles should also qualify:
- KV-1 (Introduced 1939.)
- Comet tank (In action late March 1945.)
- Valentine tank (In service by 1940)
- And the "Easy Eight" variant of the M4 Sherman (First saw action in December 1944.)
I wouldn't mind seeing those covered in the Girls und Panzer-verse someday, though for now, this is probably the closest thing I'm gonna get to seeing Kay commanding an "Easy Eight."
Not exactly looking forward to...a certain fansubber'snote gag subs, though they were funny the first few times. And I'm hoping the sub is not as mediocre as the speedsubs I saw for Date A Live: Mayuri Judgement.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Didn't Pravda field a KV-1 in their fight with Oorai. Or was that a KV-2?
I remember Yukari and Rommel finding a couple of girls from Pravda complaining about it in the OAV set during that episode.
It was a KV-2.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundand only because of a certain panzer leader's height issues.
But forget Comets, Centurions qualify under those rules.
Which is why the command tank of the College team in the movie was a Centurion 1.
It's about US$14,162,000 according to ANN
For late night TV anime-based movies, it's already a success.

I find the Comet tank underrepresented in WWII history, although to be honest, the Comet is basically an improved/upgunned Cromwell. Not to mention that it's usually overshadowed by the Sherman Firefly since its 17-pounder gun performs a similar role and is more readily available at the time.
Posting an ANN forum link comparing the Girls und Panzer movie and the big three late-night TV anime movies (Love Live!, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and K-On!) in terms of ticket sales:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4740076#4740076
While sales are still lower than K-On! at this point, it's still possible for the Girls und Panzer movie to equal or surpass that mark (1.9 billion yen) if it continues its theatrical run until the DVDs/Blu-Rays are released.
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."
... Wow, what the heck is with those Chihatan girls' obsession with directly charging into enemy fire when it seems they have an absolute advantage and when their teammates fall on after another due to that very same tactic?
