For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerPre-show is starting. More warnings of the dangers of LSD await us, then a crappy Indiana Jones knockoff. http://synchtu.be/SeanMurrayI
Already there with bells on!
Okay, pajama pants that say "Call of Duty", but it's still the same!
Just floating around...Did the site crash for anyone else?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."It did for me.
CRAP! I was getting into it, too!
Just floating around...So it's not just me.

Just floating around...So... to make sure this isn't related, how bad would the movie have been?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987That was just ridiculousness, however it was still a rather entertaining watch and it did have some very memorable scenes. It was an enjoyable movie to riff on and made for a good movie night.
One day, I aspire to be the rat that pressed the button in Endgame. It just felt like a rather dull family friendly* adventure movie, really.
*Not that this would be a bad thing on its own.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... HUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987So, tonight is nothing, right?
Maybe leave it on TV mode, perhaps?
Just floating around...The movie had many stupid moments (The Fire Whirlpool) and annoying characters (Sharon Stone and Indian Scrappy) but THAT MOMENT was still awesome!!!
One day, I aspire to be the rat that pressed the button in Endgame.Nothing tonight, suppose. See you guys tomorrow!
Hope everyone had a satisfactory Turkey Day (American Tropers) or early night's rest (Bisected). My own holiday was satisfactory, and now I get a moment to report something fun.
Knowing my cousins to me huge media nerds like the rest of us, when the conversation switched to whatever movies people have seen, I was certainly sure to mention some of the recent crap we've been viewing. Then, one of my cousins told me about a corny fantasy film series (4 movies, in total) by the name of Deathstalker, which he then reminisced about having attended several viewing parties (In person! With other actual people in the same room together!) and watching two or three of these movies in any one sitting. All and all, I'm saying these movies are coming highly recommended.
A few interesting things I can gather about these movies (both as told to me by my cousin and with the help of Google):
- All four Deathstalker movies are currently on Youtube.
- The films come from Argentina, with a little help from Roger Corman.
- Deathstalker is the lead character—"The Last Great Warrior King". Not Conan.
- Deathstalker was portrayed by three different actors across the series.
- The same actor plays the character in the first and fourth movies.
- Deathstalker was portrayed by three different actors across the series.
- The third Deathstalker movie was the subject of an MST 3 K episode.
Obligatory trailer for the original Deathstalker:
Without any doubt, this is crap right up our alley. We'll need to figure out how we want to tackle this big thing; watching them across 4-concurrent nights from Monday to Thursday—with Friday still set aside from Kung Fu action—could work, but I know we're already looking forward to other things already in the week ahead, namely For Your Height Only. But I've talked long enough already. What say you?

I say we watch For Your Height Only this Saturday, and start the Deathstalker series on Monday.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Question: I missed the Starcrash night, so I was wondering if you guys mind a repeat.
I have new avatars from that Indiana Jones ripoff- I mean Allan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold. PM me if you want them.
War is God.We will, undoubtedly, be watching Starcrash again, just as we've already done many, many times before. However, although it is our most commonly viewed feature, it'll still likely be a while before we give it yet another go. We probably won't be watching it again until sometime next month.

Some of you may still be on a mad shopping spree today, but we're still recognizing Kung Fu Fridays. Come on in, and see what's what. http://synchtu.be/SeanMurrayI
Well, if you can, maybe find those clips from MST 3 K's Turkey Day stuff, when it was on the air.
Also, I have a present for you guys!
