Only if thats your audience, which in his case it is
New theme music also a boxIt happened to me that once i watched a video from an user i quite liked and then i discovered that this creator was a trump supporter and most of his videos complained about SJW. So i can understand why he could screw up with recommending a youtuber like that.
That said, Pewds, this is like the tenth oopsie you've done. Come on man! Otherwise, i'm going to subscribe to T-Series!
Uni catI'm glad he apologized but it's as reserved of a "good on you" as I can give for someone who keeps making this kind of mistake over and over again. Hanlon's Razor may apply here but at this point so does Clark's Law.
I can't be bothered to watch, is it an actual apology or a Jon Tron style non-apology?
The one Death Note video E;R did that Pewdiepie commented on also included a "hilarious" joke that referenced the alt-right conspiracy theory that Heather Hayer, the woman killed in Charlottesville, actually died of a heart attack instead of being hit by a car. And not even a "joke" mocking the theory and even included footage of the attack. At this point I can't give him any benefit of the doubt. The best interpretation of him is that he's an idiot who didn't notice the anti-Semitism and Nazi apologism in the channel he endorsed. And that's not much of an excuse. And maybe he'd stop getting "picked on" by outlets if he stopped doing stupid shit that seems anti-Semitic or racist. You'd think he'd have learned his lesson by now if these were genuine mistakes.

I'm not going to watch it either because I don't want to provide him with views in case it's half-assed. If it's a sincere and proper apology then I'll be pleasantly surprised, good for him, but knowing how these usually go, I'm expecting there to be a brief mention of "sorry I goofed" followed by him spending the majority of the video going on about how he didn't know and how it's not actually that big of a deal therefore it's nothing to get that mad over.

Alright perhaps I jumped the gun on judgement - I'll hold back any similar outbursts.
Doubt he is being genuinely sorry about it.
Was referring to invincible asshole, I do not think that PDP is genuine in this - you don't watch a video where someone makes explicit alt-right / Nazi references and just come away laughing without your sympathies being in the wrong place.
Pewdiepie make no mistake is a Nazi shitbag.
-never liked Pewdiepie's content or the concept of Youtube stardom (and all of the problems that come with it) in the first place, sidesteps the entire discussion-
-and E,R wrote a mildly accurate but nevertheless harsh review of one of my favorite video games so... yeah he's on the do-not-call list too-
I remember this from awhile back. I feel like this channel would be great if they tried to do an actual series with a plot instead of just random gaming animations.
That said, I appreciate these animations because it's felt like sprite animation died with Newgrounds, TOME, and Super Mario Bros Z.
Level UP and Dorkly are the only two channels I know of that make quality sprite animations.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So, there is a livestream that is listing the dislike count of both Baby and Youtube Rewind 2018. It's the same channel that is livestreaming the sub count of Pewdiepie vs T-Series
Youtube Rewind is a few thousand dislikes away from overtaking Baby.
Uni catYoutube doesn't care about the dislike ratio anyway. So it's mostly futile.
Its more of a symbolic fuck you
If their’s one benefit of the great Tumblr purge its that Newgrounds is seeing a resurgence
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.A symbolic void of symbolism when it's been seen over 112 million times. The symbolism assumes that Youtube attaches value to votes.
I just learned that Mumkey’s channels got taken down
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price. And who is that exactly?
New theme music also a boxPersonally, while I do find this to be irresponsible for Pewdiepie to shouting out a channel without background checking (which is kinda ironic considering he said that to other youtubers during Betterhelp scandal), I feel this incident is one of another minor incident that just blows up out of proportion yet again. I'm getting sick of it, not at Pewdiepie, but at the perpetrators (i.e. the media). It's almost as if he breaths, the media will write a hundred articles against him.

Whatever choices we make, one must accept the consequences to move forwardIts official, Youtube Rewind 2018 is the most disliked youtube video.
It took Baby 8 years to get 9 million while this video it only took 6-7 days.
The youtube community is impressively petty.
Uni catNo kidding. But then again, I doubt they would care since rewind is merely a throwaway thing. I mean, look at COD IW; that has the most dislike out of all gaming-related trailers, yet little changed.
I doubt it's petty. If it managed to get that much dislikes, then unless that youtuber specifically tell you to dislike it, you know you did something wrong. You don't become the most disliked video on Youtube (ironic for Youtube themselves) without reason. Everyone hated it. It just shows the humongous split between the executives of You Tube and the people, kinda like the State Duma of Russian Empire.

Whatever choices we make, one must accept the consequences to move forwardI really don't like blaming the media for talking about this. Pewdiepie is the most popular and influential Youtuber and has been for a while, of course he'll be under more scrutiny. You Tube is incredibly influential nowadays and Youtubers can spread their work and messages to an extremely large audience. This makes them newsworthy. The most popular guy on the platform shouting out a Nazi is worth talking about, especially after his previous incidents. They don't paint a very flattering picture of the guy. If he keeps blaming the media for every mistake he makes, then Pewdiepie will never stop making them. Youtubers aren't just nobodys screaming at a computer anymore, they have a lot of influence and need to be responsible.
One of the biggest content creators on youtube, who has already gotten himself in trouble for saying the n-word on stream, making several anti-semitic jokes, defending a far-right politician in Sweden, now promoting a white supremacist youtube channel, is hardly a "minor incident". Now that I lay this all out, in fact, I'm questioning how much is this was an accident.
Also, blaming TEH MEDIA for highlighting and reporting uncomfortable truths about terrible people is classic far-right rhetoric. Just saying.
Thank you for taking that on so I didn't have to.

Right because no media outlet has ever acted in a dishonest or unethical way ever
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Any one of his gaffes, maybe I could understand. But it's persistent behavior and blaming the media for blowing it out of proportion is silly considering by-and-large, he's unaffected by the controversy.
Like, this in isolation? I would absolutely not have issue with it. I've probably half-watched videos and recommended them.
Coupled with his consistent low-key racist behavior? It's a pattern, not coincidence anymore.
Throw in the fact that there's more people defending him than upset with him and I find the notion that the media is blowing it out of proportion to be frankly nonsensical.
... thank you for proving my point, Mr. "I'm not going to take part in this conversation anymore." Nice Whataboutism, and also subtly saying equating "pointing out racism" with "unethical behavior."
