I'm pretty sure we've mentioned the blood stealing thing here on this thread.
I thought it was confirmed to be false though.
One Strip! One Strip!Okay, that makes more sense.

And so the last of Marvel's Big Three passes on. An era ends.
Ukrainian Red CrossThere comes a time when you know someone and you see them get older. I was surprised Roger Ebert lasted as long as he did, so it was no surprise when he passed away. 95 is a long, healthy life. Yeah, I heard that about Steve Ditko too. Is there a section here devoted to obituaries? I mean, it often does have to do with pop culture.
I expected Lee to live to a hundred at least. And unlike Ebert who became a paraplegic in his final years, he didn't seem to have any such disabilities.
Ditko was a recluse, he died alone without family, with his body being dead for two days before the police found him, it was probably an end that a man so uncompromising expected and made peace with for a long time. I feel bad that he felt driven to take such a stand in the first place but I also think that Ditko died as he lived, and his end was fitting for such a Principles Zealot.
But Lee was different. He always looked ahead, and seemed so full of life. Even with all those troubles in the last year or so, he recovered some of his peace and dignity in his final months before his passing. There are a couple of good writeups like this one, and this one here.
It's crazy to think many of these legends have finally succumbed to death this decade. Like people we thought would always be there have eventually left us due to old age, illness, unexpected accidents, etc.
I would say that Spider-Man will always be his magnum opus, especially since he had such attachment to that character. The immortal words "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility" will always be no truer words than what it means to be a hero.
R.I.P Stanley Martin Lieber
Also manga fans are going to be distraught, because he also had his hand in influencing anime and manga, plus even worked on one with a Japanese writer.
2 actually: Heroman and Ultima
So yeah, manga fans are going to miss him as well, especially since Japan has had a long history with Marvel.
A world without Stan Lee just feels wrong
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Every comic con is now never going to be the same without him, it's really sad to see Spiderman lose both of his creators this year.

Here's a video I took from 2015 where I asked him a question regarding his cameos in the Marvel films.
Unfortunately, I don't really remember too much else regarding this interview, aside from Stan Lee admitting Spider-Man was his favorite creation, after hemming and hawing for several minutes. Also stating he didn't really like his cameo in The Avengers movie (he liked the "Ask for her number, moron" gag better which was cut out).
There was also a moment when some jackass in the audience "pulled a Katy Perry" and made a stupid remark about Lee's age. Which, rightfully received boos from the rest of the audience.

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI remember now. I also saw Lee at a 2015 Expo: The 2015 Edmonton Comics and Entertainment Expo.
Yeah, I asked him what he thought of how some of his characters had been handled in the years since (I think) I can't quite remember what I asked.
It was notable because one girl asked a question along the lines of what will things be like after you die and literally everyone winced at that one.
I think I might have mentioned it somewhere in this thread from around that time, but damed if I could name where.
One Strip! One Strip!I remember one interview where Lee mentioned he didn't like the way Gwen Stacy was depicted in Spider-Man 3, but I can't recall what interview that was. I know it was an instance of him defending the 3rd film saying he didn't think it was as bad as most people made it out to be, with the "Gwen Stacy" thing being his only real beef.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationHow was Gwen portrayed in ASM 3?
The Protomen enhanced my life. She was basically given othing to do
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Apparently the Avengers' 700th issue by whatever obtuse numbering they've decided on is out today.
Its a real romp. Easily the best of Avengers' extremely lackluster centennial issues. Avengers 100 being an okay 'every Avenger ever' story that doesn't utilize the cast well. 200 being... 200. 300 being the reveal of the much maligned Avengers roster with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. 400... I've never actually read 400, maybe its good. 500 being the first part of Disassembled. And it being unclear what would even count as number 600.
700 has a three way confrontation between the Avengers, Namor's Defenders of the Deep, and a new Russian Winter Guard in a sinking dome city. A Wolverine Phoenix for some reason. A magic vs technology car race between Ghost Rider and Iron Man. Odin getting really drunk and trying to murder Robbie and then going on a joyride with him. Captain America telling General Ross and by extension the US government to screw off. The US government getting really hurt by that and having Coulson assemble a Squadron Supreme. And Captain Marvel deciding to be Thor's wingman. While they throw garbage into the sun. God damn do I love this comic.
It doesn't really celebrate Avengers' history as much as give a lot of cool bits.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAmazing Spider-Man#9 reveals something about Jarvis... He now runs "The Lookouts", a support community for superhero friends and family. Foggy Nelson and Ganke are a part of it, and Jarvis offers Mary Jane a place

Bocaj, you forgot a small detail: the last time we saw Coulson (in comics), Deadpool had killed him. His appearance here means that he's somehow back from the dead. Again. The Marvel Universe is a magical place, after all.
Ultimate Secret WarsJust out of curiosity, do you think being dead uses up your sick days at this point?
Wake me up at your own risk.It was a Secret Empire adjacent development so I guess I repressed my memory of it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWe never actually saw the body to be fair
Huh so Stan Lee was working on a new superhero called Dirt Man before his death.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
,
this is news to me as well. Do you have sources for this?
