To me: the fanon discountintuty is an audience reaction- this **** never happened, and this is more of a Pragmatic Adaptation of canon into fanfiction

At most, it's a subtrope of Fanon. I'm not entirely sure if it's distinct enough, though.

I think that a better proposal might be to merge it with Fanon.
