At most, it's a subtrope of Fanon. I'm not entirely sure if it's distinct enough, though.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Clocking due to lack of activity.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Crowner's hooked.
Apples and oranges here. Acceptable Breaks from Canon is about Fan Fics and Fanon Discontinuity is just fan's fantasies.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think that a better proposal might be to merge it with Fanon.
Fanon is about canon. Acceptable Breaks from Canon is about Fan Fics (and aversions of They Changed It, Now It Sucks!). Still apples/oranges
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSince this is a page action crowner, feel free to add in a different suggestion.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Done. Can't see the OP's issue with it without seriously misreading the trope description
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCalling crowner: move bad examples to Fanon and Fanon Discontinuity.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.All the on-page examples seem to be correct. I'll check the Related page soon.
Didn't find much misuse. If no one has to comment, will ask for thread closure soon.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
This feels like a clone of Fanon Discontinuity, only allowing additions. Or just Fanon. Maybe that's just me.
It also really looks like it's just "fanfic is different from the source material sometimes".
