I know they've been planning on this for a while, since I recall they were briefly talking about Banjo-Kazooie in the Luigi's Mansion LP before they stopped themselves, probably because they didn't want to spoil that it was an upcoming project.
Emile has told his experiences playing the game as a child before, but it's still hilarious to hear why he gave up on the game.
It's a return to Mario Party LP with the guys, but it's not 9, it's DS.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."DS is really shitting on Jon. The final part of the Bowser board has Jon lose it to the point he loses his voice.
The reason he lost his voice was a Snag Bag moment, and it's worse because the AI will target the players without a cart first.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Remake of the Wii/PS2 Dokapon Kingdom announced.
Remake of the TRG LP when? I really doubt it.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Seriously. Never in my life have I seen a game, let alone a MP game, shit on on Player as hard as MPDS shat on Jon.
Like, I honestly couldn't tell what was bigger: The game's boner for Emile or its hate-boner for Jon. I swear that the game somehow managed to become sentient and harbour a deep hatred for Jon for unexplained reasons.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming. It's so absurd it loops back around to funny. It's also funny how, going in, Jon had gone on record saying he lost his voice from yelling during the LP. Everyone was waiting for the big moment where he got royally screwed... but no, it was a culmination of the entire damn LP that caused the Rage Breaking Point; the last board in particular even saw Tim screwing over Jon while trying to curtail Emile's luck.
Which... probably worked out given Tim won the last board with a little room to spare.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaIt's apparently coded into the game that, if you're playing with 2 or 3 people, the CPU will always try to steal items from player 3 if they have any. This guy called that Jon was in for a rough time.
Anyways, they're presently seeing if there's interest in continuing their playthrough of Metal Wolf Chaos, the most American game in the world.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Idk I don't anything will top Emile's 3 Game long losing streak
but its close

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! The Guys start a new playthrough, this time taking on Donkey Kong Country Returns:
They're playing two-player mode, and switching off per stage.
Jon is building tension on Chugga's story for not starting it.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Oh that'll be a lot of fun!
I always enjoy the games that are solo playthroughs one of the three haven't played before.
And ever since Super Metroid I've been hoping they'd do Prime.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome Rob^^It was that he got stuck on second set of doors for 20 minutes and returned the rented game
Crossposting from the Chuggaaconroy thread.
A recent Jon stream revealed the "final" TRG videos (in quotes because not even Jon knows what will happen in the future). Spoiling for those that want to be surprised in the event that they do get posted.
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder with Josh Jepson. Jon considered this the best LP the group had ever done.
- Mario Party 9. Apparently, Emile's opinion on the game was surprisingly positive, despite his prior hatred for the car mechanic.
- Billion Road. A side thing, but apparently it went well.
- Wheel of Fortune. The one where the worst video happened. Prior to the video, Jon had a confrontation with the car alarm of Emile's Tesla (which apparently involves blasting the Bach music used in Dracula), and Emile and Tim kept on bringing it up to annoy him. Later, Emile made the idiotic statement of "you know you insult me a lot more in your girl voice than you do in your guy voice," and it wrecked everyone's sanity.
Jon does not know if these will ever get posted, but if they do, it will probably be at least a year from now. He has made it clear that there is no guarantee in anything: the videos may or may not be posted, and TRG may or may not come back. For the time being, Jon's mindset is "wait and see".
Honestly, even if Chugga’s controversy didn’t happen, I think it was a good idea to rebrand Colo away from TRG anyways. It allows for the core trio and the extended group to be properly distinguished more.
But they should have stuck with the “Big Chungus” Colosseum suggestion from Wednesday.
Edit: Some participant updates from previous years:
- Obviously, Chugga won't be attending. Jon is feeling more optimistic about his behavioral improvement than before, but it will still be a long time before they think of inviting him back.
- Jirard is out entirely because of his charity fraud controversy, both as a participant and from behind the scenes.
- Carlos has opted out this year, and has hinted that he won't be participating for the foreseeable future in order to focus on his own professional career.
- According to a Jon stream, Lucah isn't attending either.
- In positive news, Brettultimus will be participating for the first time.

I have a feeling Chugga would decline coming back anyway.
Remember when Proton Jon challenged Chugga to make a full LP with the Russian Elmo voice? I would've liked to see that.
Its probably too soon for this, but with the reveal they filmed Super Mario Bros. Wonder, I have to know if there were any Daisy jokes.

Oh, embeds are back?
Burning love!Didn't know they were ever gone.
X4 we also got confirmation from the subreddit that Stephen and Mal won't be attending either due to their cat Kepler's failing health requiring constant live monitoring and the chance they might not have long with him, it remains to be seen if they'll try to attend over a call, but they won't be a main feature of any blocks since it's too close to the date to set up anything remote.

Yeah, I feel like in general TRG is having a shit year. Between Chugga's controversy and mental health problems, Masae getting caught in the middle of it, Tim having to hold everyone's sanity together, Bagel vanishing on Jon and Lucah for a few days, Lucah getting bronchitis when she needed to go to the eye doctor, Stephan and Mal almost losing Kepler, Tom having his own mental health crisis, and Adrianna's own illness, they have not been having the best time. I hope Colosseum goes well in spite of everything.

Not to mention losing Jirard because of the charity scam he was involved in.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)With Chugga considering not continuing video making, what does this say about the post Kirby Star Allies projects?
And they started this year expecting it to be one of their best ever too.
Reality kicked their asses hard. It's depressing.
One Strip! One Strip!more like preemptively kick their asses as the year barely started.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIME
New Let's Play!
I'm really happy with this one. I've wanted to see Chuggaaconroy play Banjo for a while, I didn't realize he'd never played it. But this is just as good.
This one person plays a game for the first time format is something I really like too. I skip most of the party game episodes, but these are always great.
