In favor of Unsavory Appendages, though it fails the Guess The Trope test with me.
Perverted Tentacles, perhaps?
I chose the name "appendage" because, while it can refer to any type of limb (like an arm or a leg), it's generic enough it doesn't sound perverse and is bland enough it doesn't sound offensive.
Unsavory means something detestable or untrustworthy, so when put together, it could refer to an unliked or untrustworthy body part.
From there, the human mind can put the pieces together, but in an of themselves the words are not pervert bait, it serves an acceptable enough purpose in identifying the trope in relatively clean language while honoring the current decency standards.
The term "tentacles" needs to be in the name somehow. And we have a whole bunch of Sex Tropes (though we pruned all porn examples from the pages in question following FE's decision to get rid of porn in general). Something not lewd but not overly prudish should be in order, in keeping with No Lewdness No Prudishness.
Questionable Tentacle Utilization?
That's about as close as you can get to the original without getting too graphic IMO.

What about leaving the 5P decide if the trope is appropriate and then pull it through YKTTW for a name?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd love a Parent Child love triangle trope. BTW should I go to the YTTKW?
@1105: Mother Daughter Threesome was cut by Eddie in the initial, pre-P5 sweep.
I have no problems with the trope itself, but the name definitely needs a change.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.@1133: And it didn't even state a reason, according to the Sandbox page on cut pages. Sounds like a recipe for a review to me.
@1132: I definitely wouldn't mind a YKTTW. Be good to get some examples on that thing other than from the Mother Daughter Threesome page.

Because the page is dead and gone, and before any sort of plan to restore the offending page for legitimate purposes (as a sanitized bare bones shell at best) is brought to their attention, I figured it would be best to get input from my fellow tropers before anyone approached them about this issue, given how contentious the original version was.
Again, I don't want trouble, so if I'm raising any, please let me know, and I'll drop the subject.

Yeah, Mother Daughter Threesome seems like a "Restore, clean up the overly gushy examples/remove examples from cut works, add the no gushing comments or lock if necessary" to me.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Lock AND "no gushy comments"? That's just spamming Locked Pages in my opinion.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanoops, I meant to say "or lock if necessary." Sorry about that.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!I'd be okay with this.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Well, Fast Eddie, mods and P5 members all liked the idea.
I'm no moderator or P5 member, but the general consensus on the Mother-Daughter Threesome trope I have no objection to.
Anyway, is there any chance something similiar could be done regarding the tentacle trope (althougth I don't see that one surviving in any form unless its locked and given a sanitized name, bare minimum.)
But has there been an official statement to put up the banner?
If so, I was going to put it on every page where cleanup has been requested or officially required per decision.
Just put it up.
Nobody is going to complain.
^^ There's been no more official word apart from basically everyone supporting the idea. Mother Daughter Threesome has been cut so you can't put it up now, but if and when it returns it can be put on there then. Along with the other cleaning actions.
We don't need that banner on most pages, only ones that are likely to have more problems in the first place. For example, Shuffle has never had problems with prurient descriptions and is now being watched as well. No cause for alarm, no need for the banner. Not that it would hurt, really, but it doesn't need to be there.
As for what pages are likely to be a problem in the future, that's something that ought to be discussed. Offhand, I know that Zettai Ryouiki probably needs a similar banner, but apart from that I don't know, though I could probably come up with more. I'd bet you it's only the really popular tropes and series that have real problems with gushing. They attract more editors and the more editors you have, the more likely to have a couple unsavory ones.

Everyone supports this, but with something of this magnitude, I really don't want to jump the gun without official consent from the higher ups.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not comfortable with making these sort of official statements based on a general consensus without official confirmation of what to do.
There's nowhere to put the banner yet anyway. There's no harm in waiting.
That said, Komodin and Meeble are pretty official.
I think Dark Confidant wants someone to post "with mod hat on".
also I can post again!
something funky happened to my account yesterday and I had the 24 hour new account delay anyone know what that was?

More or less. However, I think the main content violations thread is a better place to continue this if need be.
I've brought the banner topic up to the rest of the staff...now it's just a question of waiting for input.
