Did we give any thought to sticking this store behind an https protocol?

$20 because smaller donations are just nor worth it

It's more like, less than $5 isn't worth it.

When is the thing for actually displaying badges going to be implemented, or has it been started on yet?

Also, uh... Can we keep these? grin

Huh, so the rejected Mod, Admin and Cutmaster badges have found a new purpose as testing material.

Never thought I'd see them again.

@Fighter: No official/definitive "yes," but Eddie did not seem opposed to such a thing and that is why I included it in that list last page (albeit without the correct terminology)

@Lock: My reaction is the same as Dark's: "So that's what those are. Didn't think about it, but that makes sense."

@Belian: If you get a chance, I made red and purple gems to go with the green and blue ones you have on the OP. They're back a page and a half though.

Another good idea might be an "Order Confirmation" page, where a user can see their purchase before committing to them. This will keep people from mis-clicking the wrong radio button and, say, dumping a badge they wanted and buying a badge they were going to dump.

You should be able to customize your hover text per badge, now.

I was able to edit said text without issue. I think that there should be an easy link between the badge shop and the "your badges" display.

Alternately, it does exist, in which case it would help if the link were a bit more out-in-the-open.

[up] This. That's one of the things we need most if we really want to monetize it. You need to make it easy for people to buy more badges.

Well, the link should go both ways of course - there should be a link directly from the shop to your collection, and then perhaps more importantly for the sales side of things, from your collection to the badge shop.

Still needs an All Badges filter.

Also, would it be possible to put some basic formatting (italics, bold) in the alt text?

I can only click on "Go to Your Collection" (this should probably be "My Collection" but not a big deal), "checkout # items," and "Go to the Badge Shop" if my cursor is over or to the right of the "Collection," "items," and "Badge." The "Colection" provides a clue for what is going on: the l is just to the right of the line denoting the top of the shop.

[up][up] Alt/title text only allows plain text. If you want formatting that would need a tooltip/pseudo-alt text.

[up] Yep, "<div id="wikimiddle">" is obstructing the underlying containers.

"<span style="color:#2c5500;position:relative;z-index:1;">" should solve it.

I was going to ask how you figured that out, but then I realized you must have gone "*right-click* [view source]" and then fiddled with it a little.

PS: I can read/understand a certain amount of programming language (it is fairly self-explanatory if you take the time to read it) even if there is no way I could write it. And I have no idea how that line of code would help. I think it says "position the text just above the next 'index'" (ether vertically or a higher layer-not sure and both would work) but there is no "index" on the page... unless "index" stands for "next object"?

...darn my curiosity.

Obviously Fast Eddie needs to secure his W-LAN network...

His holiday pictures are nice.

"<span style="color:#2c5500;position:relative;">" is the blocked element holding the checkout links etc.. "style="z-index:1"" tells it to be placed on the first, thus highest "layer" (z-axis) and above the obstructing div element. There would probably be more aesthetically pleasing (from the code's perspective) options like merging the two elements, but this was just the fastest solution that came to my mind and it's not like I'm here to do Eddie's job.

"Index" instead of "axis" then? So I was right about it moving to an upper layer. Well, technically you are moving the other down a layer, but the result is the same.

Hmmm...

I started with 45µ, right? I then placed four (maybe five?) badges, 1.25µ each, in the 'cart', then bought two and dropped the rest. My balance is now 39.50µ, which doesn't add up.

(EDIT: Never mind, I must have made a mistake. Presumably I started with 42µ and misread it.)

A link from Cart Contents directly back to the store would probably be useful.

I started with 42, and I imagine that you probably did too. So 42 and losing 2.5 gets you to 39.5, just as you stated.
