I like the idea of a trope report badge

Since Kory's currently recruiting for it, is there a badge for helping run the official social media accounts/subreddit?

Question: would a Cleaner badge be hypothetically awarded to someone who does work for ATT? Like, reverting ban evader edits, general maintenance, etc.?

I don't think that's cleanup work. It's still good troper behavior though.

Does this mean herald badges will get revived as well? Or is that a different bit of work?

No, it's the same thing. Herald badges are award badges. The herald badges were always there (I am wearing mine right now). Mods just lost the ability to give out award badges somewhere down the line. That's getting fixed in a future update along with the badge shop.

Question, and I apologize if this is obvious: would the TRS hard hat be given out as an award badge?

And a related question—do the mods have any specific tropers that they are planning to give award badges to? Obviously I'm not asking to know which tropers, just if the mods have a list or something.

It's not an awards badge so people can just put it on themselves when the badge update rolls around. It's under the interests section along with the YKTTW hat (that one needs to be renamed though)

The mods before me didn't have lists for Tropers to give badges so I don't think that's something we'd do. We will probably just give badges when we feel like doing so + whenever we think someone earned it.

Just a random update. The Troper page front-end is being designed right now by the other department and then the badge update is up next. Both of those tasks are done as far as functionality. Once the design touches are done they will be sent up for review. These two will be released together, I'm guessing, within the next couple weeks.

I was thinking over the earlier ATT badge idea, and I'm wondering if a general query mod-rewardable badge would work instead? Like, good work in queries in general—covering Ask The Tropers, Trope Finder, and so on? Not super confident in this idea but I'm wondering if it's more viable than just ATT.

No intention of bugging anyone, especially the database surgeons, but what's the progress on redoing the badge shop so far?

The badge shop is actually finished but is held up in review because of the editing toolbar taking priority. Once the toolbar goes live we will push up badges not long after.
