Name: Sadako Petrauskaitė

Age: 16

Sexuality: Openly lesbian

Appearance: Tall and thin with shoulder-length black hair. Average endowment. Her facial features are unmistakeably half-western. When not in school, often wears a jacket with a small Lithuanian flag above the heart.

Species: Human

Personality: Sadako is the kind of girl who seldom gets bored. Whenever she has downtime she passes it by drawing. She doesn't go out of her way to get to know everybody, preferring to stick to a small group of close friends. Her father is fairly well-off, but she's by no means the richest girl in the school.

Skills: Skilled artist, fluent in Lithuanian, good student.

Biography: Sadako was born and raised in Toyko, daughter of a Lithuanian businessman and his Japanese wife. Her childhood was fairly normal, apart from the occasional family trip to Europe. From an early age, she's shown a talent for drawing, and her parents have encouraged her, always willing to buy her art supplies. Her father recently accepted a job offer in Kansai, and moved the family there. This meant a new town, a new school, and new friends.

Role: Haafu / The new girl

Life is like a game of Mahjong. Sometimes you need to take risks if you want to come out ahead.

Attempt at a P.E. instructor

•Name: Miyashita Kei

•Age: 23

•Gender: Female

•Species: Human

•Sexuality: Rumored to be into girls, but that would be crazy.. right?

•Appearance: You lookin' at me, soldier?

•Personality: Applies 'tough love' to her students to what outside observers and some girls would feel is a bit extreme. Rather than just a normal P.E. teacher's motivational talents, she subsribes to a more militant stature; more or less a drill sergeant. Getting tough with the girls is the only way she feels she can buoy her authority. It's also partly because that's how she was raised and she believes it'll help the girls' confidence if they can get tough. Her softer side does in fact exist, but only surfaces in select situations.

•Skills: Quite physically fit and athletic despite appearances, and impressive unarmed martial arts knowledge thanks to an overprotective grandfather. Some first aid ability as well, and a suspiciously well informed aresenal of vaguely military jargon.

•Biography: Miyashita Keiko attended Kansai when she was in high school and while not a spectacular student had been known mostly for being the PE teacher's assistant. Following this she became a physical education major at her university and eventually ended up as a student teacher back at her old school. Somewhere along the line it was decided that it was cheaper to keep her around than hire a more experienced teacher; Kei has been there ever since.

Career aside Kei had a kind of complicated upbringing, growing up in an orphange after some unknown accident had taken her parents. At age 13 her paternal grandfather found her, a meek and aloof girl at the time, and took her under his wing. A Pacific War veteran of surprising energy, he raised her with some tough love of his own. Kei took to it and thereby gained much needed confidence. Even if it does make her teaching style rather unorthodox.

•Role: Ore-onna, Type A Tsundere (hope that's not an overlap).

  • Name: Mizuki Kumiko
  • Age: 900+, with memory problems giving her about five years and glimpses of the rest. Visibly, about thirteenish though she occasionally gains entire months.
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Fox
  • Sexuality: Lesbian. As the entire karate club knows.
  • Appearance: "Foxes don't wear clothes." However, being what she is, illusions cover for everything... and they're sufficiently tactile that the most pressing danger she has is of someone crushing her tails and not noticing.
  • Personality: Temperamental. Kumiko is easily upset but just as easily assuaged; offer her anything nice—from ice-cream and sweets to 'getting to touch' or even karaoke—and she'll calm down again. She's also ridiculously competitive and Hot-Blooded. Even if she's terrible at it—as she is at all academic subjects—she won't give in. Even if it's something ridiculous like 'who can answer the question on the board fastest'.
For whatever reason, most likely related to having spent most of her previous life as a fox, she gets distinctly uncomfortable if required to actually dress... like the time someone in the karate club smuggled in sake. It's hard enough for her to remain human-looking when drunk, let alone illusory clothes.
  • Skills: Whilst she's forgotten most of her past, Kumiko has retained muscle memory... which means that she's a master of more martial arts styles than any other person alive, even if the only ones she can actually name are aikido, karate, and judo. This gives her a distinct tendency to respond in kind to anyone who hopes to try ambushing the lost-looking girl.
As a result of being a kitsune, she's excessively good at illusions. Due to having nine tails, she could listen to the entire world... but it's a horrible jumble and gives her a headache, so it's not a useful skill.
  • Biography: Regardless of what happened in her life, something's wrecked her memory and put her in the care of a childless elderly couple. After teaching her enough to pass the entry tests—and just that—she applied for kansai.
Currently head of the karate club.
  • Role: Kemonomimi; Hot-Blooded Idiot Hero.

-Sadface-
Oh, well. Modifying.

  • Name: Hyou Sakura.
  • Age: 15.
  • Sexuality: this being Yuri, lesbian, but mostly uninterested in sex, verging on Asexual.
  • Appearance: Sakura is short and thin, with small breasts. Her skin is light brown, and her hair is rather long; it is dyed green, and she usually wears it in a long braid. Her eyes are green, too. Her nose is small and straight; her lips are red, but thin. Her fingers are long and graceful. She usually wears a normal seifuku with a brown longcoat over it; while not wearing uniform, she sticks to simple tank tops and cargo pants.
  • Personality: A type 2 Kuudere with some Insufferable Genius thrown in. In other words, her kuu side is haughty and stoic to the point of being an Emotionless Girl, while here dere side is nice, considering and soft. the only person to see her dere side, so far, is her sister.
  • Skills: Sakura is an Omniglot: she fluently speaks English, Japanese, Hebrew, German, Arabic and Latin. She is also a highly competent violin- and harpsichord-player, and a good fencer with the Sabre. She also knows a little Krav Maga.
  • Bio: Sakura is the daughter of a Japanese diplomat and an Israeli ex-General Staff Reconnaissance Unit warrior. She lived her first years in Israel, then her parents moved to Japan. At about that time, her talent for music and languages was discovered, and she happily started to study English, German, Arabic, and Latin, and the art of playing the violin and the harpsichord; she already spoke Hebrew and Japanese fluently. A few years passed, and she started fencing with he father, as her body matured rather quickly. Otherwise, her life was pretty normal, save for the fact that as the time passed and she became better in fencing and playing the violin, she became more and more haughty, and that she was put in her sister's class despite being two years younger.
  • Role: Kuudere.

  • Name: Hyou Kyoku.
  • Age: 17.
  • Gender: Female.
  • Species: Human.
  • Sexuality: Bisexual. Why limit oneself?
  • Appearance: Looks rather like Sakura. The differences are that Kyoku is taller, bustier, and a little bigger, being more muscular than her sister. She usually wears her hair in two long ponytails (think Fate's hairdo), doesn't dye it so it is brown (not green), and her expression: While Sakura's tends to be frozen and distant, Kyoku is usually smiling.
Also, she wears no overcoat, and sometimes wears odd clothes.
  • Personality: Sakura's complete opposite. Kyoku is a Genki Girl Pollyanna; other words, happy, carefree, optimistic and energetic. Unlike her haughty and frozen sister, she easily befriends other people and is usually the life and soul of the party wherever she is.
  • Skills: Kyoku is a talented dancer, flute- and guitar-player, and a superb chef. She also practices Budo Ninjustu, but is only a yellow belt and not very experienced.
  • Biography: Rather similar to Sakura's, except that she was trained in dancing, flute- and guitar-playing and Budo Ninjutsu, and that her time in school was rather easier because of her personality (and the fact that she stayed with her peer group rather than with people two years older).
  • Role: Genki Girl Pollyanna.

Sorry I'm taking so long, RL has been crazy.

Does Kumiko's presence mean I can't reuse Ichigo, since there'd be two Kitsunes? Or would having them be on the opposite side of the scale in terms of age and several other things suffice to make her different?

I'll do my best to have profiles up tomorrow.

@Raineh Daze: Alright, if you insist, although explaining it does somewhat ruin the Noodle Incident-style humor. :P

Here's Kina's Backstory: Her parents (Daichi and Nanako) were madly in love, but an unfortunate accident one day claimed Nanako's life even though they had been together less than a year. However, she was unable to move on, and returned (sorta) as a ghost. Due to their connections to the local youkai*

and Daichi's (excessively dedicated) praying, they were able to convince a local god grant them a wish to have Nanako exist for one year in human form.* The two of them made the most of their time together, and nine months later Kina was born. Nanako unfortunately had to return to ghost form when her time was up, but they found that while Kina continued to exist, Nanako's spiritual energy had mixed with her physical nature, and made Kina into what could only be described as a half-ghost hybrid, with some essence of pure spiritual energy as well as normal physical matter.

Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.

Thanks for giving me a way to bring Ichigo back.

Is there a limit on characters? I may throw in a Yuki-Onna at some point.

Anyhow, since she needs the lest change, here's Faulkner to start with.

"Young teacher, the subject of schoolgirl fantasy..." - Sting, "Don't Stand So Close To Me"

  • Name: Lilly Faulkner (Western order for a foreigner's name, and she'd prefer you not pronounce it as "Riri Faukuna" if you can help it)
  • Age: 25
  • Gender: Female
  • Sexuality: Bisexual, but leans heavily to the lesbian side.
  • Appearance: Tall and curvy, with long, flowing blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. Tends to wear black or blue skirts (or miniskirts, if she's feeling particularly starved for attention) and white blouses, and occasionally wears glasses and/or puts her hair in a bun, then the mood strikes her. So generaly looks like this in her more stern moods and this when she's feeling lonely. (Tip: The more cleavage she's showing, the more likely flattery and/or flirtation will improve your grades.)
  • Personality: Likes to tease, and often insists on speaking English and not responding when spoken too in Japanese. Very much likes to be in control of situations, and has a very dominant and forceful personality. However, deep down, she's lonely and insecure, and, as willful as she is, anyone who happens to be more assertive will find her quickly cowed. Secretly feels like a stranger in a strange land, lost, adrift, and confused. Occasional mood swings; can go from stern to playful, or from harsh to compassionate, with surprising speed. Has an interest in the occult, and has collected many things that she should probably be more responsible with.
  • Skills: Despite her own flaws and insecurities, Faulkner-sensei often has surprisingly good advice to give, though she tends to only offer her assistance if asked in English. In addition, she is superbly dedicated to the welfare and education of her students, even if her teaching methods occasionally stay into the unorthodox. While she struggles occasionally with the Japanese language, she is much more eloquent in English. She is also fairly good at reading people, though cultural differences have thrown her off her game a bit since her arrival in Japan. She is also secretly a talented performer with a lovely singing voice... Though Japanese lyrics tend to make her stumble a bit. She is also interested in magic, but is unable to perform any herself. She gets around this by using magical items, which she tends to carry at least a few of wherever she goes, since there's nothing preventing her from using someone else's magic. However understanding and controlling these items is... often problematic for a "muggle" (she's pretty sure that actual magic-users probably don't use the term, but it's the only one she's got) like herself.
  • Biography: The daughter of a prominent American diplomat, Lilly found herself disowned and stranded in Japan after a secret relationship with her translator went spectacularly awry, threatening to balloon into an international scandal. As such, she was left practically exiled in Japan, barely able to speak the language, with only the money in her pocket and what few personal effects she had in her suitcase. While frantically trying to make heads or tails of the foreign land she'd been stranded in, she took what jobs she could get. She also had, though she denies it, minor success as a net idol under the name "Peregrine", though as both a lesbian (technically bisexual, albeit just barely) and a foreigner, she tended to attract more than her share of controversy among those who had heard of her, and she gave it up after about a year, worn down by diminishing returns and the pressures of internet fame. Nobody's quite sure how she wound up as a teacher, or how she manages to keep the job despite her... unique... personality, but as long as English is being learned, there's no indication that she'll be going anywhere. Throughout her life, she's dabbled in the occult as a hobby. She knows about, but cannot really use, magic.
  • Role: Christmas Cake, Hot Teacher, The Exile, Insecure Love Interest.
  • Other notes: [Dialogue in brackets is in English.]

EDIT: Disregard this post, I have decided not to play as Faulkner.

... Accepted, but I think the 'lonely' picture looks disgusting. I also think the whole 'only speaks English' thing is going to cause problems, as well as the random, pointless addition of magic items. >.<

I'd also like it if people stuck to two characters.

...I'm sorry that I offended you with that second picture. I... thought it was okay, I guess. Also, the "only speaks English" is a sometimes thing that was in her profile last time around and never really got around to being part of the character. I'll edit it to "prefers to hold conversations in English when she can." As for the magic items, everyone else has either magic or martial arts. I didn't want Faulkner to be vulnerable compared to the rest of the cast. She's the teacher, she shouldn't be casually-grabbable.

Also, if we're limited to two characters, I might wind up dropping Faulkner entirely, since she can't really interact with everyone most of the time (this was a problem last time around, too.)

Would you be willing to reconsider the limit, at least in terms of characters that won't be part of the main cast?

... The thing is, it makes no sense, not all characters have it and this isn't a fighting thing. >.<

No, I'm not changing the limit. It's two characters; anything more than that is NPC's that shouldn't be around as much.

...If someone has to give, it'll probably be Faulkner so I can keep my characters with the main cast, and I don't want to do that, because I thought you liked Faulkner.

I'll remove the artifacts and try to find a second pic that works better for you, but I'm curious why you feel that we need a character limit this time when we didn't last time... And I'm honestly conflicted about a few things that we should maybe talk about in private?

Fair enough, but why two rather than, say, three? Or two students and one non-student (teacher, faculty, nurse, janitor, or other character more significant than an NPC, but not part of the class)? One of the difficulties I had playing a teacher in the last thread is that most of the time, there's no reason for them to be with the other characters when they're not in class.
