I don't normally follow this genre, but god damn is that art style cool. That said, two thoughts:
Is the Engrish in Japanese fighting games normally quite this bad? I can't even tell what some of the character descriptions are supposed to mean.
Also, calling it now—Waldstein is going to be that character who's bottom-tier in competitive play, but overpowered in casual.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulWhat is this? A spiritual successor to Melty Blood?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Probably. All signs are pointing to this being the Blaz Blue to Melty Blood's Guilty Gear.
well most of them are
What system? 360? PS 3? Wii/Wii-U? Arcade box?
I have a message from another time...I believe it's coming to Arcades, and amybe PC. Though, a console release is possible.
Well, this is the arcade release.... I am not sure that there will be a PC release, but given that french bread has done this before with Melty Blood and that the Ring Edge system is a modified Windows XP box, it's likely.
From that point, French Bread has expressed an interest of the PS 3 as a platform before.... it would not be much of a shock if they release on it.
Weird... Carmine's official art totally looks like a chick, but his ingame sprite is easily recognized as a guy.
He's definitely one of the most interesting-looking characters with his traps.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Here's a UStream of the game. The footage isn't very good, but we do get to see gameplay of the other characters.
I'm suprisied there's no trope page for this yet...
This looks pretty cool. I love Melty Blood, and I'd buy this if it did come here.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.I'd try and make one, but I don't think we have a translated synopsis yet.
That being said, if anyone wants to create a page for it, feel free to.
Seth and Yuzuriha gameplay. The channel that's hosting the video has more Loke Test footage.
If you listen closely, you'll find the characters now have voices, you can listen to samples on the official site. The VA's haven't been officially announced yet, they're holding a contest where whoever guesses the VA's gets a prize (though only in Japan). Any guesses as to who's voicing which character?
Time to leave them all behindI have a bad feeling that Hilda could be voiced by Chiaki Takahashi. Hope I'm wrong, tho...
Then again, she used to voice another Hilda.
Redone introduction video's for the previously revealed characters, and new ones for the remaining ones (sans Hilda). The arcade release is on 9/20.
Games looks really fucking hype. Really hoping this game comes to the west.
Time to leave them all behindI am SO maining Orie when it comes out.
All of the characters look pretty fun to play as don't they? I'm leaning towards either Yuzuriha or Seth being my mains. Yuzu has a nice design, and her fighting style is pretty cool, same deal with Seth. Linne and Hyde look pretty cool too, and then there's Gordeau. GAH! So many awesome characters to choose from!
Time to leave them all behindWell, considering Melty Blood didn't get localized, the chances of us getting the game are null, at worst.
The voice cast was revealed in a recent issue of the Japanese magazine "Arcadia":
Hyde: Ryouhei Kimura
Linne: Ayane Sakura
Waldstein: Kouji Ishii
Carmine: Takashi Kondou
Orie: Saori Hayami
Gordeau: Kousuke Toriumi
Merkava: Hidenobu Kiuchi
Vatista: Nao Touyama
Seth: Yuuki Kaji
Yuzuriha: Ayumi Fujimura
Hilda: Hatsumi Takada
This post does a good job on analyzing the game's chances of getting localized.

Time to leave them all behindI'd say that's more related to type-moon then FB.
The Majority of Type-moon products have not come to America and the west. The Tsukihime manga and anime, FSN on DVD, Fate Unlimited Codes PSN only, Fate Extra full release. That's the only Type-moon products I've ever make it stateside. The Nasuverse does have some things with Continuity Lock-Out (You're going to have trouble understanding Melty Blood if you don't even know what Tsukihime and a dead apostle is)
At the rate of western consumers in the past, I don't think visual novels (and fighting games before Street Fighter 4) would make a profit in the west, so why spend the money and create the infrastructure for a product that will not sell?
Though, it is becoming a better prospect to do such in the more coming years, so I hope a "HD Remix" of the Melty Blood saga one day. If Jojo got one, maybe Melty blood will too.
I really, really want this game to come out here. I would totally buy it. While I'd be content with a PC version, I'd love a PS 3/360/Wii U version too.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.I want it localized.
Also, considering French Bread made it, it might be plot heavy.

Guess who's back.
Out of all the people to take a hammer to the fourth wall, Sion is the last person I'd suspect...
