Merge low-content Anime CM subpages with main page

As apart of the special effort to clean up Complete Monster, we discovered that several Complete Monster subpages consist of only a single example. To make keeping the pages clean easier, we proposed removing any sub-subpage that had less than three entries and putting them back on the main list. Following that criteria, the following pages would be merged back with the main Anime & Manga list;

• Aura Battler Dunbine - 1 example
• Baki The Grappler - 1 example (which is almost entirely spoilered out)
• Battle Royale - 1 example, 2 underdefined examples, one non-example with natter)
• Basilisk - 1 example
• Bio Meat - 1 example
• Black Lagoon 1 example, 1 subversion (which shouldn't be on the page to begin with)
• Blade Of The Immortal - 1 example, and several characters grouped in one bullet point, which probably would get cut by the Special Efforts thread
• Chaos Head - 1 example
• Code Geass - 2 examples
• Deadman Wonderland - 2 examples
• Death Note - 1 example
• Fist of the North Star - 1 example
• Ginga Densetsu Weed - 1 example
• Ginga Nagareboshi Gin - 1 example
• Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - 2 examples
• JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - 2 examples
• Magic Knight Rayearth - 1 example
• Mai-HiME - 1 example
• Mai-Otome - 1 example
• Martian Successor Nadesico - 2 examples
• Monster - 2 examples
• Moon Phase - 1 example
• MW - 1 example
• Now And Then Here And There - 1 example
• Pure Trance - 1 example
• Reiko The Zombie Shop - 1 example
• Sengoku Basara - 2 examples
• Twentieth Century Boys - 2 examples
• Yakitate Japan - 1 example
• Zambot3 - 1 example

Considering how CM has been misused in teh past by tropers who view it as a show's badge of honour to have a character there, and the current clean-up efforts, I think that it'd make the most sense to save seperate subpages for works that have several complete monsters. Thoughts?

Thoughts are in the affirmative. I see no real point in having separate pages for singular examples. Two examples isn't much better.

Single-trope subpage splits for individual works are only really necessary when they have a lot of examples. If there's a special tab for them coded into the wiki like with Awesome/ or Fridge/ or Radar/, we can make an exception, but I don't see a reason to do so for Complete Monster. Yes, they should be merged back into their respective YMMV pages.

Okay, so can we get a crowner and make this offical to get rid of the pages?

I really don't think we should have trope subpages if there's only one or two examples. Heck, I think if there's only one example for a moment page it's probably best left on the YMMV page.

I don't see the need for a crowner. Everyone who has posted has agreed with moving them back, and the unofficial general policy for subpages for individual works has always been "when they get enough examples to make it worthwhile."

Judging by the pages' histories, a lot of them seem to have been created by Meeble. Unless the histories are playing silly buggers again.

We don't have a minimum. Basically, the number is "a bunch".

Three would be the minimum, I'd say. We don't consider a trope page to be worth launching without three different examples.

I wouldn't put a minimum number of examples but rather that they take up about a screen's worth of content or more once you've trimmed away fluffy writing.

Right, but then how do you determine fluff? And if you listed all of a CM's deeds you could make one Complete Monster take up several screenfuls of space.

Is there any need to list all of a complete monster's deeds? Other threads have indicated that anime examples tend to be needlessly explanatory, and I think in this case I think I agree.

For reference, these pages were being made as part of the "Big Page Lock" project, where the Anime and Manga page for Complete Monster came up as having over 400,000 characters. I started splitting individual pages off much like what was done with the TearJerker.Anime page, unfortunately was not able to complete the moves due to RL commitments taking away most of my editing time.

If moving the single example series to their own pages was the wrong thing to do, I apologize.

I would say that whatever solution you go with, just make sure you keep an eye on the 400k character limit. It's over 200k right now as is.

Ah, gotcha. I haven't had many opportunities to follow the Special Projects lately.
