Okay, World of Pun is launched, finally. A Worldwide Punomenon has been redirected to it.
Things left to do to finish this thread:
- Figure out what we're doing regarding Pun and Punny Stuff. (My personal opinion is that they should be merged.)
- Clean the Worldwide Punomenon wicks.
Anything I'm missing?
I just made the note on the discussion page of World of Pun.
Otherwise, we need to clean up the wicks to A Worldwide Punomenon (I can help starting from tomorrow), then decide the fate of Pun with this crowner
Got the A-range wicks *Withstands the temptation to utter a very bad Wizard-y word* Mostentimes I had no clue what they were referring to, though, so I changed them to Pun - unless I found the right trope. And we will need help there - still 1400+ wicks.
I think it's better if we go straight ahead with the Pun crowner and do both things at once rather than waiting until we have finished the wick cleanup. At least for me, it's easier.

I was expecting them to occur simultaneously. And remember that Pun should only be used if it's in-universe; for troper puns, Incredibly Lame Pun is still the offcial magnet.
I removed the B-wicks as well. Will continue.
Btw, if A Worldwide Punomenon was used instead of Incredibly Lame Pun, are we allowed to delete it or is it obligatory to rename it?

Routerie's new option gets a downvote from me because a) Incredibly Lame Pun is a bad name insofar as it sounds like a pothole magnet and b) because we don't need to waste our time for switching wicks from Incredibly Lame Pun to Pun and keeping it clean at the same time.

That's fair... and even cleanup may not stop people from using it as a "pun" pothole.
Indeed, I was already thinking that any name we want to turn the current description of Incredibly Lame Pun to will have to focus on the "lame"/"reaction" part as opposed to the "pun" part or else it will be misused as a pothole magnet.

V-Z done, except for Viewers Are Morons. For that, should I just delete the wick (as it will hopefully soon be inaccurate) or leave it be as it is currently accurate?
I think you can do either way. I for the record edited Pothole Magnet only after removing all other Your Mileage May Vary wicks.
ETA: This crowner seems to have stabilized. I'll holler to get it called and swapped against this one

Bumping this for votes and to say that Lame Pun Reaction doesn't parse well to me (and that it should be "That Pun Was Lame" Reaction not 'That Pun Was Lame' Reaction; dunno why the pothole is doing that)

I haven't voted on any of the names because I don't think any of them are good. I'd love to throw some better names out there, but unfortunately naming tropes is a weak point for me, so I can't think of any.
But if anyone else has any name suggestions (for the in-universe reaction part of Incredibly Lame Pun), please post them.
The A Worldwide Punomenon wicks have been completely cleaned.

I'm not a big pun person, but I would have gone for like, a PUNgent Reaction, or The Face of PUNishment or something terrible like that actually in the name. You see a lame pun, you put on your PUNishment Face. Mine is coupled with a palm to the face as well.

Question here. When the page swap was done, the page quote was changed, and the page image was removed, despite there being commented out note to the effect that the page image was chosen in IP with a link to the thread. I don't object to the quote change, but I do object to the undiscussed removal of the page image with no reason given.

Because it was not renamed. It was merged into a new YKTTW, and the image and quote weren't carried over.

This is one of the suggestions for the crowner. Personally, having "Index for X" and "Definition for X" as separate pages seems silly to me, bit like The Same But More Specific.
