This thread's for all of the X-Men comics and spin-offs (X-Force, X-Factor, New Mutants etc.), whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate X-Men, X-Men 2099, X-Men "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- X-Men 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Wolverine, Deadpool, Ms. Marvel and Cable.
- Characters and comics that originated in X-Men and its related books but are no longer connected to the franchise are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their X-Men related stories here.
Discussions that are only about X-Men adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).
I have to say that the X Men franchise has been going on for decades. Maybe not as many as the Superman franchise has, but it still has quite a number to it.
One thing I am certain of is that the franchise seems to be subverting Status Quo Is God in recent years. Magneto and Professor Xavier seem to be fading into the background, with Cyclops and Wolverine taking their places. A lot of villains associated to the X-Men have been killed off and have actually stayed dead so far.
All this gives me the general impression that the franchise is trying to reinvent itself. Do you think that's what's going on here?

Do you expect them to uproot their lives & move to an unknown place just for a political statement?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Magneto made it clear that "Man is not welcome here." Jubilee had such a bad nightmare about Apocalypse getting his hands on Shogo while he was in Krakoa in Excalibur #3 that she brought him with her. Even if he is allowed to live there, will they download the language into his brain? How will get by without being able to use the gates to other parts of the island? Xavier seems to be going for an us vs. them theme. How will Jubilee explain that the "they" in "Look what they've done to us" refers to him?
So according to today's History of Marvel Universe#6, there's another X-Wedding on the way
Emma Frost and Tony Stark
I give em 3 days.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Honestly, most of the time the citizens of the MU are either 100% justified in hating superheroes or at least it is a lot more understandable than the narrative is willing to admit.
So we're all assuming mind control right? Because Emma doesn't seem like she'd trust Tony...or respect him...in fact it's probably about his resources.
One Strip! One Strip!Mind control, LMD, blackmail,
Hell, we recently learned that The real Tony died in Civil War 2, so is Emma marrying the copy?
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Can't humans be turned into mutants? Any cult worth a cent should be able of doing it. And if Namor could turn humans into atlanteans, it shouldn't be too hard.
Perhaps they may even use their resurrection trick? Download all the person's mind, kill his human body and resurrect him in a similar body, but mutant. Also, in the process they would detect and erase any anti-mutant secret agenda, preventing moles.
Ultimate Secret WarsPeople can indeed be turned into artificial mutants. In fact it was recently revealed that one of Sinister's many experiments on himself was to give himself an X-gene, rendering him admissible to Krakoa.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."the reason namor has been so fucked up was retconned to be xavier fucking with his mind after namor killed someone whose mutant power was to do that and xavier wanted to use him to make more mutants
Yeesh.
So in order to fix Namor, they mess up Xavier even more.
Maybe if they just stopped making these characters we're supposed to view as heroes (flawed heroes mind you, but still heroes) cross one horizon after another, they wouldn't have to keep doing this shit.
And now they've had Carol flat out murder Tony. She'll recover, because Tony recovered from the first Civil War, but this one is gonna leave a scar.
It's like writers want to ruin these characters.
One Strip! One Strip!Carol sucks anyway so it's all good. Can't ruin an already trash character.
I believe you need to add an IMHO to that.
As someone who likes Carol (but acknowledges she's had some trash moments and made some trash moves), I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that.
Remember: Carol once punched Rogue into space. She's had her good days.

One Strip! One Strip! If that was after she stole Carol's powers and memories, i can't hold it against her.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"They kinda slipped with giving her a push.
Wake me up at your own risk.
Indeed it was...and just after Carol became Binary, so she was pretty damned strong.
One Strip! One Strip!Marauders saw the surprising return of everyone's least favorite Hellfire Club Yes, the Heckfire Clubhouse is back.
The Hellfire Club used to be made up of children. This was during Jason Aaron's run on Wolverine and the X-Men. They...weren't that popular.
Even as a guy who liked Aaron's run on that...Booooy do the Hellfire Brats suuuuuuuuuck.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Honestly, a group of Enfant Terrible children as supervillains would be interesting if they all didn't have the same personality of evil cray cray with a different quirk. Business cray cray, martial arts cray cray, slaver cray cray, and mad scientist cray cray. They weren't used to the fullest extent they could have been used either despite getting so many issues.
At least we have this image to compensate for it.
What was the Heckfire Kid's main problems again?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
X4
So where was Karima's invite?
And what about all the other human supporters of the Xmen?
I'm still wondering where they are?
One Strip! One Strip!
