I hope this game's going to be good. I won't buy it, of course, but if it really is going to be similar enough to Super Smash Bros that it might be considered a rival, there might be some pressure on Sakurai to make the new Smash Bros game a good one...

I'm personally hoping its really good not just for a good game but so I can see more fanboy wars.

Meh. You'll probably starve after getting a bunch of feed from the first week or so. There really isn't enough here to fuel much fanboy wars, unless both sides are full of commas.

Well look at all the ass soreness on that Nintendo fan website over just the IDEA.

While I'm not going to buy this game, I'm willing to give Sony the benefit of the doubt. It can be good, or bad, I don't know. Either way, the next months might get interesting.

Well unlike most people I'm not going to hate the game for existing or I should say before it even exists and actually wait to give it a chance, and considering how much I loved the SSB series sign me up as a buyer.

It's funny enough when the comments are butthurt but when the article and even the article's title are butthurt that's just like super-duper funny.

I could see Snake getting in as a third party guest character. That would be weird though, considering his inclusion in Brawl.

Anyway. If this game does a few things differently from Smash and the characters are interesting and diverse enough to play, this could be fun to play. However...

The second article says Rico is a character we love.

I'm definitely going to look into it. Gameplay videos and a list of controls would be all I need. I love Super Smash Bros as is.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Mascot Fighter was done with Marvel VS Capcom first. Oh, wait, it was. In 1998, where SSB was released in 1999.

Also, lol at it being a Smash Bros. clone. It's just a Mascot Fighter. Not the same thing. And even if it was inspired by it, in order for it to be a clone, it'd have to play similar. Which we don't even know how it plays. Bad analogy is bad.

Cole, Kratos, Sackboy, Nathan Drake, and company all in one game? This is quite literarly what I dream of.

I'm hoping they put in some Finat Fantasy characters in the fray. Yeah, I know everyone wants Cloud to be in SSB, but here, he could have a legitimate reason to be in. Or, failing him, Sora.

FF characters are unlikely, if the recent 360 port says anything.

In addition, there was a Japanese-only SSB-style game way back when, 2002-ish. It had Solid Snake.

FFVII ones are decently likely, though. That was PC and Play Station only. Plus, they're great fighting game material in general.

And Cloud is practically a poster boy for the Play Station. I mean, unless they only go with the most recent games, he's a good choice.
