"Hot" is always subjective. We need more subjective appearance tropes like we need a hole in the head.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well, I mean we have Hot Mom, Hot Scientist, Hospital Hottie, Fair Cop, Hot Librarian etc... What the litmus test for these "character is hot and a X" trope?
To be honest, I feel that any of those Hot X tropes that aren't "this character is hot because they are a X" need to be cut as well.
I would support that. Especially for a trope like Fair Cop.
I think what constitutes any of these tropes that have 'Hot' in the name is that they aren't so much a character as a device. Their hotness isn't a coincidence. They are hot specifically to appeal to niche fetishes. This has Unfortunate Implications when you realize most of our Hot X tropes are female. Currently I don't think Hot Action Girl is tropable because of the nature of Action Girls and the very reason they are split from male badasses. That is to say if they appear at all they are almost always Hot, because that's their man selling point to men, apparently.
Although male Hot X character types exist. I'm surprised we don't have a Hot Cop, or Hot Doctor trope already.

SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)Fair Cop (which demands a rename) is gender-neutral, but Hospital Hottie seems to be female-focused, although there's some kerfuffle I only vaguely know about related to various "sexy nurse" tropes that needs clearing up.
And Action Girl is independent from Badass for several reasons, not because "hotness" is required. It's just a common element, because of Male Gaze assumptions, but it's not necessarily needed.

Hot Amazon is in-universe. It still needs an example cleanup, and if you want to argue for a full rename you can open a thread, but it has enough in-universe, objective examples of "Character is hot because she is an Action Girl" that it counts as a trope.
I ask because Hot Amazon has a huge amount of misusage on the wicks. Pretty much being used to point out a female character is hot and an Action Girl. While those wick definitely need to be cleaned (I'll start a special thread soon), I'm starting to wonder if we're simply missing a trope about physically attractive action girls.
