Yeah, I'm back, and I am extremely confused. Why in gods name would Billie go towards Asher of all people? What is with the lipstick? Why does everyone treat it like they lost Billie when she's apparently still on campus and attending classes? Is it really just the breakup that apparently has drove Ruth to start drinking again?

Dear god I'm getting flashbacks to the Relationship Upgrade between M'gann and Conner being undone during the Five-Year Timeskip and M'gann was suddenly with La'gaan and acting like a total sociopath with a penchant for Mind Rape!

I think I'm gonna return to hiatus for a bit, and if they finally reveal why this happened that will be what cements whether I still read this series. And if it looks like Billie is subjected to Character Derailment before that happens, screw it, I'll drop the series outright.

I would imagine confusion is the Intended Audience Reaction to this development. Personally, I’d wait for some actual answers before throwing up your hands like this.
