Apparently, Broly was going to be the Hulk's opponent. But after the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came out, people wanted the Hulk's opponent to be Doomsday instead.
I remember when the old fan blog did a Top 10 list of Death Battles they wanted to see, they wanted the Hulk to either fight Doomsday or Asura and specifically said they did not want him to fight against Broly. I think maybe because that was back when people thought Broly was a terrible villain (I don't know much about DBZ).
Now the question is, which Broly?
Uni catThe one that doesn't suck, of course. Or so I heard.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. The one that was a match for Goku if I punch a cat three times the universe will explode?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDBS Broly would be the one considered now considering that he’s more powerful than Z Broly and has a better connection to the Hulk as a being that when left to his own devices isn’t actually that dangerous but god help you if you piss him off.
Asura is getting his Death Battle soon, they said it as much that he was meant to be the Season 6 finale fight.
Personally, I'd pit Broly against Asura.
Two beings with powers to rival gods, like legitimately, Uncontrollable rage and are ridiculously over the top? Why it writes itself.
I’m still of the opinion that Asura’s fighting Beerus.
This actually ends up happening in the Broly vs Gogeta fight. They punch eachother so hard they rip a hole in the universe and end up temporarily fighting in a Amazing Technicolor Battlefield.
One little hiccup: The Hulk can't die.

For a Deathbattle, that sort of immortality doesn't really matter since if he dies, that's it. He can come back but if he doesn't do so in, like, an instant, battle's over.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here? There's nothing in common between Goku and Saitama really besides being shonen anime protagonists that people like to argue about. I say leave this fight to the hardcore nerds who absolutely must have their favorite character be proven the victor in order to validate themselves.
At the very least they should hold off on Saitama until his series ends and we find out what his full power is.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?I think Broly may be really screwed if fights one of the smarter Hulks.
Like Immortal Hulk who makes a point of creatively killing people.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Broly is really durable tho.
He took a huge beating from Gogeta and he kept going, even if he could hardly land a hit
Uni catYou say that like you honestly think the series will end with Saitama finally hitting a limit.
Meanwhile, the series itself has actually been laying groundwork for the idea that Saitama literally doesn't have limits. They are moving full steam ahead on canonizing the No-Limits Fallacy as an actual character trait that Saitama has. Something something all beings have an internal limiter that defines what they can do except Saitama who utterly destroyed his?

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I think people are assuming the series will end with Saitama finally getting a good fight. Though to me it seems the series is going in the direction of Saitama learning to find value and enjoyment in things beyond fighting.
Saitama’s biggest flaw is how short-sighted he is. He trained and desired so strongly to be the strongest hero that he never considered what would happen once he achieved it, and now he has to live with the consequences of being the single most powerful being in his universe.
Regarding Ash vs Lucy, I looked back on a reddit thread about Ash I saw a while ago. Some of what he does borders on superhuman. That said, he is still just a 10-year old kid, so Lucy should by all rights be able to beat him pretty handily. https://www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/cn97u8/respect_ash_ketchum_pokemon_anime/
Even as I Lucy fan, I admit this is closer than it seems.
Her own writer always finds ways to screw her, even if she should be able to somehow win. She's had her moments in spite of that however, but it's still hard to say.
One Strip! One Strip!I think that while Goku and Saitama don't have a lot in common, they do have a fun key difference. Goku always strives to be the strongest but always finds a stronger dude, while Saitama is the strongest trying to search in vain for someone who can give him a challenge.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Goku and Saitama both yearn for a good fight, the problem is, Saitama isn't about to let some cosmic destruction happen to get it (He likes his earth).
This scratches any itch I had over Goku vs Saitama.
Do you guys think we’re going to get Hulk vs Broly anytime soon?
