Yeah, nice that we finally get a better idea of the plot in this.

Also, is Gal Godot's character going to end up being the main antagonist? Because it seems like she is...

Am I the only one who's tired of the Rickroll meme?

I'm glad they didn't focus too much on the princess scene this time around.

There's a reason you never hear about it anymore.

I'm pretty sure they used it here because everyone was so tired of it.

Between that and using "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" I feel like they're going for 2010-era internet vibes. Kind of weird given the setting itself is a more modern internet, but the music choices at least fit the setting. Kinda.

I'm pretty sure all the modern internet "anthems" are a bit too unkosher for Disney anyways.

To their credit, whatever "modern" memes they referenced in the script would be dead well before release anyway. Might as well go for stuff that's already dead, and at the very least, nostalgic to some older internet users.

I think its used because the song IS an Internet Meme AND fits part of the core themes here.

I'm not sure how I feel about the 'Dark Web' thing. Mostly because... I get that it's supposed to be the seedy underbelly of the internet but its a bit more... serious than that. And I don't quite think a 'Quirky Disney Movie' take on the Dark Web is warrented mostly because... the Dark Web activly targets Disney's core demographic. And worse.

I think that the Dark Web is a really big problem. But maybe this isn't the place is acknowledge it?

I think Gal Gadot's character looks fantastic. And she isn't wrong. We also know she ISN'T an Antagonist since its been confirmed that there isn't one this time.

I was kind of pleased that Disney didn't tell us anything in the first trailer beyond "Ralph and Vanellope go to the internet to fix Vanellope's game and there's going to be a lot of internet jokes/Disney characters in this movie." Curiosity alone was going to make me watch this movie. Now we've got a better grasp of where the movie's going and it's kind of disappointing.

We've got a starting point, a Call to Adventure, two of the likely three major action scenes, probably some of the funnier lines/moments in the script, the point in the film where sh-t starts to go horribly wrong, and probably most of the important cast since we apparently have no main antagonist (and because we haven't heard about any A-list actors playing the villain of this movie yet and I've yet to see a film that keeps that sort of thing under wraps).

The Dark Web can't even be accessed the usual way anyway! It's near impossible for a kid to see it unless they secretly get info.

Kids have access to Google, they'll find out just what is on there and wonder why Disney was referencing it in a film.

I wonder if that includes edits to Tiana's hair in the lounging scene, as it was also criticized.

This isn't something I would've immediately noticed:

I didn't know they could go in and reanimate a single character like that. I don't know if that means they're just willing to work that hard, or if Tiana only appears in so many scenes, or if the backlash was so much that they absolutely had to change it, or all three.

Most likely they didn't want negative publicity effecting the film,so they changed it out of necessity

Mulan and Pocahontas aren't so different that they need fixing and it's obvious who they're meant to be while Tiana looked nothing like herself in certain scenes. There's no need to change the former two while they absolutely needed to fix up Tiana.

..... is it a problem that I didn't find anything wrong with the previous Tiana?

One time I took an intro to Maya class and the instructor paused to tell us some context to how these software programs are developed for industry work. All CGI software programs used in Hollywood films are designed for the quickest revision turn-around possible. Anything you add to a character or scene is not dependent on anything else, and that you can alter one aspect of a character in an entire movie without having to save a duplicate files over and over again. You can change a form on a character model and tell the program to apply this change in the entire movie! I seen in-progress footage of Monsters University where the preview window the animators work with is now BARELY different from the final render! Technology has progressed so far, it's amazing!

Good, now redesign the other princesses so they no longer look like Anna or Rapunzel clones.

Pocahontas is in the situation where her original design is bad so they’re probably not gonna edit it any. tongue

Pocahontas is old shame for them at this point,I'm surprised she's even there

Wonder if they'll add a native american princess/Chieftain's daughter to replace her

I'm starting to think including the Princesses in this movie wasn't such a good idea. Even their hair is causing controversy. XD

I like to keep my audience riveted.

Well, to be fair, I'd consider this move more of a learning process and growth thing rather than 'We changed it because or backlash'. I think the positive spin is 'We screwed up, we looked it over, we fixed it easily enough, no problem'.
