You mean all three are fine with you, or you actually think all three options should be picked? Because that would be... fairly redundant.
Why does this keep appearing at the top of my watchlist when there haven't been any new posts in 4 days? Is there some rule about TRS being regularly bumped in the watchlists or something?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOn the one hand, it seems like this thread only exists because a certain image was rejected for the page image. And I agree that there's a world of difference between having examples of characters who are in-verse "hot" but the art style is cute/moe or children (who could legitimately be another child's "hottie") and having such a childlike page image.
On the other hand, the trope that Raso wants to create seems to be a specific type of moe, like a sister trope to Bandage Babe. That does seem to be pretty distinct from both Disabled Hottie and Wheelchair Woobie.
So I think I would support a split.
They seem distinctly different to me but that's just me which options are the best?
I was more on the fact that the trope and examples cover girls cute and hot from the are of 9 to 40 but is called hottie.
Anyway the image picking forum brought up a point here the trope right now is written more as "Disabled Love Interest" than just any hot disabled girl. Massive misunderstanding across the board for everyone what to do about that? Make this what it says on the tin and move this to Disabled Love Interest?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!As the person who brought that up, that's what I'd do. We can decide if being hot and disabled is a real trope later. Same with the main topic of this thread. This trope needs repaired before we start in on pulling out a subtrope.

Everyone Has An Important Job To DoJust wanted to remind you guys that this was left without ending.
Also, I'm not really a fan of the image, considering she's practically standing up, and you can't clearly see how she's disabled. I'd like to support Kukaku Shiba (prosthetic arm, missing arm in the manga) or preferably Holly Summers (prosthetic leg, is an international model in addition to being an assassin)
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMisunderstanding the trope this is Disabled Love Interest really (I would be up for renaming it to that)
While having a more general Disabled Cutie as a more general I Want To Protect Her Disabled Woobie (not the specific form which is Wheelchair Woobie)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!That's normally done in Image Pickin', not in TRS.
Fight smart, not fair.Disabled Love Interest is definitely seeming like a good idea. However, should Disabled Hottie and Disabled Cutie be limited to characters whose disabilities add to their appeal or should cases where it's not made to take away from it count(I also have to wonder about Oracle - pretty sure her legs should be fairly wasted).
Oracle would certainly fit under Disabled Love Interest so we can put here there.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWas wondering why this was on my watch list.
Anyway, just going to bump it one last time.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNthing a rename.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - Camacanbumping for more votes
So why exactly is this being renamed, again?
Anyone else who is more knowledgeable about this can feel free to correct me here, but I think part of the issue is that people * do not feel comfortable using the term "hottie" to refer to characters who are basically children and so a name that is more inclusive might work better. Another problem with the name that has been suggested is that the trope seems to really be Disabled Love Interest rather than Disabled Hottie. The term "hottie" suggests a fanservice trope to me, but I might be alone on that.
Another option that has been suggested is to split off another trope and keep Disabled Hottie as it is. However, if people want to do that, I am thinking that a page action crowner would make more sense.

"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dI knew some of that, but my impression was that the original problem was simply that a number of examples, including the page image, were fairly creepy. I saw various arguments for a split, but I'm not sure how a rename came into the question.
It came about because people realized they were talking about the wrong trope the whole time. The Image Pickin thread lasted until page five before somebody pointed out the definition.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanCalling crowner.
I didn't write any of that.I made an alt-titles crowner, although as of this post it only has one alternate title on it.
Bump. Four and a half days and the sole option has unanimous support.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanSo we could probably call it.
Crowner has been called.
